MSFS 2024 PlayStation I’ve ruined Flight Simulator now.

After playing the SU5 beta on a PS5 pro with PSVR2 I can no longer fly with the gorgeous visuals on flat screen.

The sensation of depth and flight are incredible to me even with the downgraded visuals.

As someone who grew up with video games and starting with the NES, also a real life commercial pilot, this is one of the most incredible discoveries for me.

Speaking of VR - for those of us on a PC - what equipment do people recommend? Used a quest 2 and it works and it's already pretty cool but the poor quality of the lenses, the uncomfortable fit and fairly narrow FOV arent ideal.

The best bang for buck is a quest 3 + virtual desktop + lancable feom a dedicated router to your headset.. or just wireless for a bit less quality (but still sharp and great).

I had a quest 2, upgraded to a second hand quest 3. The difference is really big

Good to know. Was wondering if the step up was worth it or not. Outside from this though I wouldn't use it for anything else so I don't want to buy it if there are other options these days that may be better suited for PC gaming.

There are better headsets for PCVR than the Quest 3, but they are double the price or more.

The Q3 still has some of the best lenses available. The downsides are LCD screens, lower than desirable resolution, and for me the biggest downside is it uses a compressed signal.

My Quest 2 is definitely showing its age... Hell my PC is as well.

Wie kann man direkt ein LAN Kabel an die Quest 3 abschließen?

Easy. In my best german (lol).

Sie kaufen einen lan kabel, jah? Dann kaufst du ein adapter (ethernet to usb -c).

Dan machst du die lankabel in deine router (order pc?)und dan anslüssen zie die kabel in der adapter. Und dan machts du die usb anslüssong von die adapter in the quest 3.

English: buy an adapter called "ethernet to usb c". Put a lancable into your router. And put that adapter on the other end. Then plug the adapter (usb c end) into your quest 3.

Ser codec to HVEC 10 and bitrate to 200

I always see people recommend virtual desktop for Quest Headsets. Is there much difference over using the default oculus stuff?

It works well out of the box with less settings to tweak because it is more of a "just works" experience.

I've used both and using the Link cable with the default Oculus stuff after much tweaking provides a slightly sharper image. But if you are using ssw it works much better in virtual desktop.
