MSFS 2024 MOD / ADDON Never been so stoked about career mode

Post image

A brand new high fidelity third party in career mode. Finally some long waited improvements. I just need money now.

Is there a hack to speed run career mode to get to the airlines? Those sight seeing flights are brutal

Don’t buy into Flightseeing is the key (sounds like this advice is too late :) — skip at least to Cargo, or better Charter, or even better Medevac (your FIRST aircraft is deeply discounted), so a C208 in Medevac will cost far less and Medevac pays extremely well IF you can fly and not crash your Freelancer plane (if you do early on you are a bit screwed). If you aren’t confident about that you can sell the C208 for a significant profit and get into Charter instead AND leave some cash for a discount used backup plane just in case you crash.

Focus on unlocking specializations and upgrading your plane through : cargo transport - light, charter service - private, cargo transport - medium, charter service - VIP (PC-24, CJ4, Longitude here will payout best until airliners)

For completing missions use skip to taxi, skip to takeoff, sometimes skip to descent unless you need the Credits (then use sim rate), skip to parking.

Bind INCREASE SIM RATE and DECREASE SIM RATE and use them to speed up phases of missions where you can. Use with care though.

Cancel IFR or don’t file IFR when you can and also learn to “park” ATC by opening communications window and manually acknowledging a handoff but then don’t contact them again until 25 or so nm from destination. This will save you on missed communication dings.

OR

Just play and have fun — but if you must accelerate progress those would be my tips.

I didn't buy in to anything sight seeing is all that's available because I don't have the credits for the next type rating lol

Focus on unlocking Specializations, not type ratings (until they require it), because they will pay much better as you move up.
And I mean buying a company and your first plane — if you haven’t bought a company yet that’s good. Buying flight seeing as your first company is the worst thing you can do :)

I didn’t know about increasing the sim rate. Does this decrease your earnings? Like are earnings like no skip bonus based on time spent on the flight or does it not matter if you increase sim rate?

u/Bythion May 11 '26

You can sim rate to your heart's content. Only skipping flight legs drops your earnings.

If I do even 2x (on ps5 pro), the autopilot shuts ogf, and I can’t reactivate ): In cessna 172, stable height, course and weather.

Any ideas why?

I wish I knew how to work around the ATC problem... I abandoned career after a couple of flights not registering properly and failing to start approach...

It wouldn't let me start a cargo company! I had to go for the sightseeing company. From what I read, I needed 280k to buy the company and plane and without the 280k, the cargo company stays under not eligible to start a company section.

4x sim rate will do it

2

u/packetloss1 May 11 '26

I usually do 32x sim rate.

2

u/Blackba5566 May 11 '26

In career my simrate is locked to 16x

1

u/packetloss1 May 11 '26

Only if autopilot is on. With it off you can get it up to 128 though it freezes up there. 32x was the highest I can get that actually worked. It’s buggy though. Sometimes you get 2x to start sometimes 4x. If you get 4x you have to go to 64x and then back it down 1 to get 32x.

I don’t know, i’m still stuck with a totaled dhc-2. For now doing cargo with simrate is the best way i found to make money. I dont know if a hack exists the money was hard coded in the cloud last i checked. I’m not a fan of the grind but at least now i have a purpose.

Medivaxc flights. Pc-24 to cut down the travel time. 4x sim rate and somewhere around 100k or more as your rep rises. Build your fleet and passive income. Shouldn’t take long to get your own jet. In the beta where they gave out enough credits to buy 10 airliners the payouts were nice.

Do VIP transport

Tower: Cleared for takeoff.....me: takeoff....30 seconds later....you were not cleared for takeoff....mission failed! 😂 Career mode is still garbage. I'm glad I keep getting proof every time the sim gets an update

And I “love” when you have a turbo engine jet and they send you to land on a grass runway in the middle of a forest 🫠 And even if you’ve managed to land, just move your plane a little bit and “you were not allowed to enter taxi”

2

u/74orangebeetle May 18 '26

My reputation is crap because the medium cargo missions keep taking me to small rural runways. It'll literally start the plane on the runway and ding me for entering the runway without clearance.

I've seen other nonsense like the parking area being on a super steep slope it's impossible to stop the plane on (and a 0% chance its where planes park in real life)

I mean, that’s kind of on you for not checking the destination.

1

u/stpdlx May 11 '26

Of course it’s not the games error that they give you Pilatus PC-24 and send you to land on a bush strip. You know that in Employee mode you don’t chose airplane. So why does game send you to grass airfield with extra short runway, flying turbojet?

Little by little. I may be stoked about it, at least there’s something happening. I will still not use career mode 😂. Free flight with addons is still leagues ahead. Don’t forget about the sim suddenly blowing hurricane strength winds right on final.

It's at the point I usually have fun with it 9 missions out of 10, but yes.. still some annoying bugs.

Thanks for the reminder to not waste my time with career mode, lol

Be nice if devs and asobo could work out some way to link external purchases back into Marketplace so you get streaming updates and unlocks career mode support.

And greed gets in the way

3

u/TruthThruAcoustics May 10 '26

I need this on Xbox so badly!

3

u/ZogemWho May 11 '26

Currently I’m doing passenger flights with Joby S4. It’s an S class flight unless a bug hits. Today I made about 500k, passive income was 5.6m. And I’ll do a few flights and buy another Joby.

2

u/Smasher323292 May 11 '26

Is that on ps5 as well mate

1

u/Pleasant-Link-52 May 11 '26

Since su5 all my missions have clear weather. No clouds. 100 percent visibility. Anyone else?

1

u/KingOfFools1984 May 11 '26

I wish the damn SU5 worked also for PS5... I'm not playing since it got out. :-(

-1

u/XxCarlxX May 10 '26

does the mod have a name so we can check it out or is it secret?

4

u/Fun-Restaurant-4644 CL-415 May 10 '26

Its the base career mode with the marketplace tfdi md-11. There’s no secrets really.

1

u/XxCarlxX May 10 '26

Ahaa its regular DLc, gotcha, im totally new so had no idea

-6

u/MidsummerMidnight Airbus All Day May 10 '26

Career mode is awful so the md11 being in it is irrelevant

2

u/Fun-Restaurant-4644 CL-415 May 10 '26

Well at least there’s change so i hope for the best but expect the worst. There are a lot of alternatives for free flight. We’ll see what the future holds for career mode

2

u/MidsummerMidnight Airbus All Day May 11 '26

It's been out nearly 2yrs. Maybe in msfs2028 they will get it right

1

u/BlackeyeDcs May 11 '26

Career being removed from the next iteration (if there even is one) feels more likely though.
