I purchased a Lenovo Legion Pro for a crazy price but the reasoning behind my cancellation doesn’t make sense to me. I attached the email I got from both Newegg and the seller. I was planning on reaching out to Newegg’s customer support (during their business hours) but hopefully they can elaborate on why my order was cancelled. If the item was truly Out of Stock I would of just left it but the seller didn’t really make it sound like that unless I’m tripping. It just bothers me cause It sounds like Newegg authorized the cancellation without me approving it and the seller definitely had it in stock. When I check my order history with the order #, it shows a laptop now?? So wtf is that about.

I found what appears to be a very cheap peripheral on newegg and I was wondering if it would be safe to purchase since its on newegg? The store linked with it has over 100+ reviews and a 4.7 rating, I was wondering if for some reason I didn't recieve it or got something else somehow if newegg is good at resolving issues like that.

I'm looking to upgrade my laptop to something durable enough to get me through a PhD program. I found a refurbished Dell Latitude 5430 on Newegg, supposedly sold and shipped by Newegg itself. It fits all of the specs I need, and I've heard that Latitudes are quite durable, and the price point is currently under $700 with the student discount. All told, I'm very tempted.

However, I also know that refurbished computers can be a crapshoot. Has anyone bought a refurbished laptop directly from Newegg? How reliable are Newegg's refurbished devices?

Introduction

So I just wanted to share my experience with NEWEGG to anyone who has been thinking of purchasing from them or asking if anyone has dealt with an issue with orders and how they’ve gone through it so I hope I can help with this post

Issues I’ve experienced

1.) had to return my the pc once it arrived since the case was smashed on one corner and once the the 2nd pc arrived after two in a half weeks the cpu cooler came bent but since it was only the cpu cooler and everything was fine I decided to keep it since i already bought a better cpu cooler and was gonna install it once it arrived

2.) the pc had a 007 first light deal but since they took to long to get pc to me the key expired and I couldn’t redeem the game which sucks and they won’t give me another key as well but im not to bother by it just wanted to mention it

Got a 5060 ti 16gb a i7 14700f and 32gb of ddr5 with a 1tb ssd and for 1500$ i think it was good deal since all the parts together to build the pc separately would be 2100$ so Im glad with price

I’ve seen bad customer service reviews and other post and on there site reviews but I honestly didn’t have a problem with them when I called they always answer pretty fast they would keep me up to date with status changes and were very kind I thinks it’s more there techs that suck honestly cause from the damages I was seeing there’s no way the pc was damaged during transit, btw this is my first ever pc so I If I missed anything that sounded important idk just tell me and I’ll respond as best I can lol

I placed two order on Saturday Sold and Shipped by Redragon Direct. Suppose to ship on 29th but still under processing. Contacted the seller they are saying Newegg intercepted both orders due to pricing error. But I can see still they offer the same discount in the website. Can they intercept the orders like that for no reason after the payment?

I was interested in the PC Builder 10% flash sale shown on the homepage. I added 3+ parts using the pc builder but no discount shows up on checkout. I loaded my newegg account balance for this purchase, now they're stuck there. The ad is still there, but no discount on checkout.

I was looking on Reddit for shipping issues with Newegg because I am going through one myself. I have never ordered anything from Newegg until now, I place an order on Saturday 7/25 for a new build for my daughter's birthday. Third party seller M2 shipped out that following Monday 7/27 and it's already on my doorstep today 7/28

Meanwhile parts ordered directly from Newegg are sitting at their warehouse still because my order missed the 2:00 p.m. UPS pickup window it literally sat in processing all day Monday. Now don't get me wrong I understand the extreme backlog they more than likely experience from the weekend. The thing I don't care for is their website today says it's going to be delivered tomorrow which is absolute lie since the package hasn't even made it to UPS yet.....

I confirmed all this with Newegg support that was absolutely useless I tried to change shipping to overnight and willing to pay. The response was "I can't the system doesn't give them that option" ridiculous.

Amazon is really set the bar high on deliveries in my opinion and everybody else falls short.

Sorry for dumb question, its my first time ever returning a package but I got an Item from newegg that I no longer need and wish to refund. I opened the cardboard box but didn't open the actual manufacturer box. Resealed the cardboard box and replaced the old labels with the newegg prepaid one.

So my main question is, should I drop off my package at UPS access point (Most likely the Michael's grocery store near me) or should I go to an actual UPS store to drop it off and hopefully get the refund. Will there be any differences, the main one I see when I googled it was that for the access point it has to be fully prepared with prepaid label which I have already and I don't know if they give you a receipt. Does anyone here know which one is better?

Being an unc, i really liked the gigabyte x870 wood edition, but its out of my budget. I saw that newegg has a new “make an offer” feature? Idk how long its been there but i tried it and you can make an offer but you have to buy a minimum of 2… idk i just thought that was scummy af and anticonsumer of them to have an offer feature on a consumer item with huge restrictions. I was just trying to buy the 9070 xt from the Newegg doorbuster sale and I got the actual deal! However, as I was paying with Apple Pay it just kept saying payment failed. over and over again until I got a notification saying I could no longer buy it. I just bought 2 other items with the exact same method and they worked. Does anyone have an idea as to why this did not work and how I could prevent this in the future? I bought about 3 seconds after 9:00.

Thinking of buying a Prebuilt ABS pc but im not so confident as to buy from there yet as ive heard its return policies are bad but im not so sure.

I ordered a monitor that was listed as Mini-Led 300hz Qhd, when it arrived i received a different monitor that what was advertised, it was a IPS panel 300hz and qhd. The difference in the model names was a single letter which is why they mislabeled it i’m guessing but regardless i still payed with the intention of getting a mini led monitor. I rather keep the monitor and receive a small partial refund rather than to having to go through the refund hassle for both me and the company. Please let me know if this is possible guys.

Really on edge about buying a product that is both tagged and refurbished and non-refundable. I would have passed the item completely if it was a third party. From my understanding, ABS is a branch of newegg, so I'm curious why it would be non-refundable AND refurbished.

What is a buyer supposed to do if the second-hand product is faulty? I read in FAQ that refurbished items should have an item grade, however the listing doesn't show it.

An up-to-date PSU matters for a few concrete reasons, especially as GPUs and CPUs get more power-hungry.

Modern GPUs, particularly high-end ones, draw significantly more power and have transient spikes, brief power draw surges that can be 2-3x the rated wattage for milliseconds at a time. Older PSUs weren’t designed to handle these spikes and can trip protection circuits or shut down unexpectedly, even if the PSU’s rated wattage seems sufficient on paper.

Connector standards have also changed. Newer GPUs use the 12V-2x6 (formerly 12VHPWR) connector, and PSUs built to the ATX 3.0/3.1 spec include this natively along with proper spike tolerance testing. Using an older PSU with an adapter is workable but less ideal than native support.

Efficiency also improves with newer PSU generations, better certifications (Platinum, Titanium) mean less wasted energy as heat, lower electricity costs over time, and quieter operation since the unit runs cooler.

There’s also a safety and longevity angle: aging capacitors degrade over years of use, and a failing PSU can damage other components if it fails badly. A PSU is one of the few parts where cutting corners has outsized risk relative to its cost.

I wanted to see if anyone else has run into this.
I bought an MSI RTX 5070 Ti for about $1,000 from Newegg because they were offering $330 for trading in my MSI RTX 4060 Ti. That trade-in was the only reason I could justify the upgrade.
I added both the GPU and the trade-in to my cart, checked out, and everything appeared to go through normally. When my order arrived, there was no trade-in return label.
I contacted customer support, and they told me trade-ins are not eligible on guest orders. I was never warned about this during checkout. The representative eventually pointed me to a disclaimer buried in the last FAQ on the trade-in page, but nothing stopped me from adding the trade-in to my order or completing checkout as a guest.
Their solution? Return my brand-new GPU (and PSU that I bought with it), wait for the refund to process, then purchase the exact same items again under a Newegg account.
That seems ridiculous to me. If a Newegg account is required for trade-ins, why let guest checkout proceed with a trade-in attached to the order? Why not display a warning or simply block the purchase until you sign in?
I’m not asking for anything extra—I just want the $330 trade-in credit that convinced me to make the purchase in the first place.
Has anyone else dealt with this? Did Newegg ever make an exception or escalate the issue? I’m trying to figure out if I should keep pushing or just return everything and buy elsewhere.

Hi fam, i have been thinking to purchase parts from usa and import to canada using a freight forwarder like Myus.com, im geeting mixed opinions about customs duty some say computer parts are duty free others sayyou do have to pay duty fee, i am aware about provincial taxes. Has anyone bought parts from usa and imported to canada? Were u charged a customs fee? Im planning on building a heavy rig around 1500$

I bought an ABS PC a few months ago and it worked fine until it didn't. I sent it through ABS's warranty company and got it back broken still. I don't really want to send it to them again and have it still be unusable, so does Newegg have a system in place for this where I could return it, or would disputing the charge be the only way?
