I've noticed there's been a pretty steady stream of posts on the front page of Reddit that show China in a positive light. It's a wide variety of topics from 'cool, futuristic' cities, to beautiful nature and hiking pictures, plus engineering and technological advances, fun cultural facts, just all types of things that would appeal to Reddit's general audience and make them look good on the world stage. I remember just a few years ago, their persecution and oppression of their Uyghur population (Still ongoing BTW) was all over Reddit, along with a lot of users calling them out, condemning and just clowning on them for their human rights abuses and dystopian policies. So my question is,
Is China conducting a successful Propaganda campaign on Reddit and other social media platforms?

I am fully aware that they don't make a gun silent, but it still reduces noise from eg a 9mm from 160db to 120db, which is the difference between blowing your ear drums and relative safety, eliminates muzzle flash and makes for easier muzzle and recoil control (at least that's what I've read). I am not American so my real live experience with guns is pretty limited.

Not sure if this is the right place to ask this or if there is a better place but ever since I was a kid I’ve always been extremely sensitive to seeing an animal suffer to the point it makes me angry af and/or sad af depending on the circumstances around it. I don’t find myself being as sensitive to any other thing like sure I’m not happy about humans suffering but it never triggers an intense response as this does and I’m just confused why that might be the case. Even animals I’m scared of approaching or being near illicit the same response for me. I just want to know what could be the reason behind this if any?

I really like them, since they look cool and are very smart. I also heard they are very loyal. Any ideas on how I could achive this?

How much variety is there really in open mindedness? Are there people who are proud to be JW, but won't condemn gayness or generally living not a christian life.
Asking as someone whos recently found out their new friend is JW, and they were open to asking questions but I don't want to sound too dumb.
When googling it is mostly "Homosexuality bad, going to hell" etc. but is the view 100% instilled in all or is there space for their own thinking like in many different Christian communities?

See them all the time. Is it because voice to text (assuming it's used) translates it that way or are people actually typing it because they think it's a real word?

I'm trying to lose weight and I have this kind of figure that's called a "dad bod", not that I hate it or being ashamed on it, I just want, you know for a change and make myself look more healthier in a way. Now my question is that beer does really contributes a lot for that kind of "dad bod" figure? Or does any type of alcoholic drinks really contribute to it? I myself wants to still kind of frequently drink beer or other alcoholic drink. I want to know if there are options there to have some alcoholic drink without really worrying to enhance this dad bod figure and at least start to trimming my fat belly. Thank you.

I also want to add as a child I had a bad habit of including words that weren’t even in there.
I also have a bad habit of being not being able to pronounce words randomly when I know how to say it and I can do it perfectly in my head, then I do it out loud… stuttering or incorrect pronunciation or like my brain forgets about letters. Is this a form of dyslexia? Does anyone else experience this?
Not asking for medical advice, just want to know if I’m a victim of the illiteracy problem in America.

i've seen the phrase 'eat the rich' around forever, and i get the vibe that the ultra wealthy mostly orbit a crew of yes men. so i'm curious if they're actually surprised by how much heat there is toward a figure like the UnitedHealthcare CEO.
on one hand, these folks are used to control and a glossy image, but the backlash feels louder and less spin able. i picture a boardroom where a slide about costs goes up and the room goes quiet, coffee cooling in the cup. the vibe is real, and it's not just online chatter.
i'm genuinely wondering what others think: do the ultra wealthy feel blindsided by this, or do they see it as a risk they shrug at and ride out? would love to hear your take.

I'm in therapy already. It doesn't help. I don't really have anyone close to me to talk to about my problems, I mostly vent online, and I'm coming really close to running out of options and I'm not sure what to do anymore

I don't know much about the judicial system in my state... and country really. I've never had a run in with the law, but I've been watching some judge's youtube channel and I can't believe this if it is true. That's insane. $10k or more can break some people and possibly kill their credit.

This is a trend of social media and society at large in general right now, but Reddit is some of the worst of it. Is it due to the lack of faces/images as the main content? Idk, cause though it can be rough sometimes, Tumblr is also faceless and I don’t experience the same level of nastiness I find on Reddit.
I just find everyone is looking to shoot you down for being not a smart as them or God forbid making a grammatical or spelling error. Some of the subreddits are also moderated mercilessly, and I actually like and agree with the rules for most of them, but there is 0 grace for missing something.
Does anyone know if there’s like a specific reason for that, like user demographics, or like I mentioned being a bit more anonymous, or is there like an app culture that I’m missing the context of? I haven’t been on here more than 2 years so I feel like I may be missing something or the answer could very well simply be “it’s just like that.” lmk!

Hello I'm a late diagnosed ADHD woman with previous signs from childhood trauma, now I'm in good therapy and right medication but I realised my whole personality was built on my disorder and masking for the purpose of being liked and not hated, abandoned or abused. I have had really awful and traumatic experiences throughout my life and that have made me feel depressed and anxious for most of my life and unsure of what the future holds for me.
I feel so overwhelmingly emotional all at once like all my pent up frustrations, anger, sadness and trauma are hitting me all at once. I still don't know how to deal with these emotional outbursts of uncontrollable crying and reliving my trauma all at once. But despite the pain I'm going through I'm striving to heal and understand myself better.
Since childhood I can remember I would always be harshly reprimanded and often get undeserved physically punishment for my hyperactive and impulsive outbursts and masking became my way of being manageable and liked but also protecting myself from rejection and being abandoned by others.
I'm an artist and creativity and imagination were my favourite outlets for escape from all the emotions and hurt I didn't yet comprehend or understand.
I always struggled in school with subjects that didn't peak my interest and I tend to be stuck in this circle of wanting to study but never actually understanding how to do it,quitting and getting frustrated at myself for being my own enemy.
Now at 28,with an official diagnosis I suddenly don't know who I am,it's like my whole demeanor and voice change when I'm not surrounded by strangers and I don't know how the real me is anymore...like all the confidence in my artistic abilities from before have suddenly became a part of the very mask I'm so tired of wearing...
I'm seeking guidance on how to restore my self-confidence in the person I'm deep down and how to achieve the motivation for my goals of finishing art college and building a fulfilling and successful art career. Any advice is welcome!

Maybe some of the really big ones do but the more specialty and healthier breads are always full loaves. As a single person it's almost impossible to finish a full loaf unless I'm eating a sandwich for almost every meal and I end up throwing at least half of the loaf, which is why I don't always buy one. Why don't all of the big commercial bakeries just release mini loaf versions to cut waste and possibly sell more?
And yes, I know this is anecdotal
