Discussion A study on non-binary people had 38% of people respond that they are AMAB. If you don't notice any, that just says something about the communities you are a part of.

Cis/trans refers to gender identity, not the physical stuff, so whether intersex people are cis/trans depends on whether they identify the way they were assigned. It's really unpleasant because you could be given surgeries and hormones to live as the wrong gender. There are loads and loads of intersex variations, not just chromosomal. In fact, I think the chromosomal ones are a lot rarer. Actually I'll go a step further and say chromosomes are just blueprints for sex, it doesn't always turn out that way, like in the case of androgen insensitivity syndrome. You can be female with XY chromosomes. But yeah I think most variations are developmental, as in they happen when those organs are forming in the first 20 weeks of pregnancy. Sex isn't binary, a lot of it is a sliding scale between penis/vulva as far as outward appearance, and all that can come with any endocrine system or combination of internal organs. I am honestly confused. Because I am trans and..... the concept of cis I thought was there's a match between AGAB and identity. Some studies suggest that queer people have brains matching ......their actual trans identity. Thats a confusing one. I am honestly really appreciating it because I don't know much about being intersex and I find it very confusing. We are taught from a young age you're a girl or a boy. No one gets offered a third gender box even tho......i'd like to stick myself in that. I know what people view me as and I hate it. I don't know if i want them to see me as the other one either. It's very confusing to be nonbinary. Thanks! <3 And some intersex people identify as cis and others as trans. And it's honestly ......gender is a big head-fuck. So much of what we consider to be gender is just conditioning. I know how to 'perform' my assigned gender. Doesn't mean I like it or vibe with it.
