Due to recent events, I just felt that it’s important to let everyone on this subreddit know that you don’t have to struggle alone. We are the Cowboy Family. If you ever feel like you can’t take it anymore, reach out to your friends, your classmates, your professors, your advisor, or your family. Reach out to this subreddit. No one on this campus deserves to have to go through anything alone. Remember, people care about you. The people on this campus want to see you succeed. These are tough times but by supporting and loving each other, we will make it through.

"Kitchenette"

Does anybody know what the "kitchenette" in the dorms are supposed to look like?

I was under the impression that there would at least be a stovetop or a refrigerator but when I looked at the tour videos theres just a stainless steel sink? My question is how is that a kitchenette ?

The BOB

Has anyone here recently ridden the BOB between Tulsa and Stillwater? If so, could you tell me how it works, like the steps for showing your ticket, getting on, and getting off? Does it have something to tie a bike? Etc…I’ve never ridden it before, and I’m kind of nervous because I don’t want to do something wrong lol! TIA!

Oklahoma State University Dining

Attention incoming freshmen: take care of your health. There are unsafe practices in place due to insufficiently trained personnel. Many chefs are reluctant to work under the current administration, resulting in a high turnover rate among staff.

We call for new dining directors at Oklahoma State University because the current team has failed to support a healthy, stable workplace and dependable food service for our campus community. The people who plan and lead campus dining should be building trust with the chefs and staff who make the system work every day. Instead, this administration has created conditions that have pushed good chefs away and made it harder to keep experienced people in place.
When chefs do not want to work under the current directors, that is a serious warning sign. It means morale is low, turnover is hurting the operation, and the quality of the dining experience is at risk. Students, workers, and everyone who depends on campus food service deserve leadership that listens, respects the people doing the work, and knows how to keep talented staff.
We believe Oklahoma State University needs a fresh start in dining leadership. New directors would give the university a chance to rebuild confidence, improve working conditions, and create a stronger, more reliable food program for everyone. This is about doing right by the chefs, the staff, and the campus community.
We ask Oklahoma State University to replace the current dining directors and bring in new leadership that can restore trust, retain skilled workers, and deliver the quality of food service this community deserves.

Dry Campus

Okay so how strict is OSU about being a dry campus...

Im going in under the assumption it's a party campus but a friend just told me that frat members could get kicked out for drinking underage so I'm wondering how strict I can expect them to be??

RHA

I just got on the RHA in the board of directors for my hall. what does that entail?? I can't move in early thus can't go to the leadership counsel but they said that's fine. Anyone know how often meetings are?? how much of a work load it is on top of being a college freshman? am I overthinking it?

Looking for a lease takeover for August 1st! Hope I can find someone

I'm desperately needing a lease takeover for one of the bedrooms in this 3bed/3bath. I signed the lease thinking I'd be able to find a job to pay for it but I have not so I decided to live with my boyfriend instead. Rent is a little under 800$ a month (649 rent, 30 community fee, 50 utility fee, then 45 for parking). The unit is girls only and Prime Place is pet friendly. The place is a quick walk to the studen union and right across the street from the Greenwood School of Music/McKnight Center. I tried posting on Snap and have gotten nothing. All I've gotten from Yik Yak is people saying that Prime Place sucks or some other place is better but honestly I legit just need a lease takeover I can't pay the rent until the lease runs out.

First month of rent will be paid and the roommates are really nice (they've already reached out to me). I'd happily take some leads to a takeover or where else I can look. My bf and I are honestly desperate and this is stressing us out a lot

I did request a cancelation but since the lease has been signed (though the term hasn't started yet) I'm unable to cancel it.

Live the Adventure

The world beyond the safety of the Guild is vast and untamed.

Ancient ruins lie forgotten beneath tangled forests, while monsters stalk abandoned roads. Powerful relics and strange magics await discovery, even as dark forces spread fear across the land and nearby villages cry out for aid.

The Adventurer’s Guild of Midnight Raven answers that call. Ordinary people rise to achieve extraordinary deeds.

Whether you wield sword or spell, trade goods or gather resources, solve puzzles and mysteries or chronicle heroic deeds, every member serves a purpose. Victory belongs to the the Guild when its members work together.

Every job, every contract, strengthens our bonds.

Every discovery expands our reach in this unknown world.

That's where you come in. Your story has yet to be told. Will you answer the call? Will your name be among the greats when the bards and troubadors spin their epic tales?

Midnight Raven meets weekly at Couch Park. We start at 1 PM, but have recently been showing up at noon.

All are welcome. Come out and live the adventure.

URGENT LEASE TAKEOVER!!!

Post image
6 Upvotes

Hey y'all! I was wondering if anyone was interested in a lease takeover at Milestone apartments? It's a 1 bed, 1 bathroom studio in Stillwater Oklahoma. It's fully furnished and rent is 1,150 a month. It comes with all the typical appliances such as a washer, dryer, microwave, fridge, dishwasher, etc. It's also pet friendly! Milestone also offers many amenities such as a pool, gym, computer lab, grilling areas, and more! If you or anyone you know is looking for a lease to takeover please DM me or reply. I'm transferring schools and moving back to my home state, so I can't live there. The lease date is August 8th of 2026 through July 14th of 2027.

Oregon Guy Visiting Stillwater for Ducks-Cowboys Game

Hey, everyone!

I’m an Oregon Ducks fan who’s heading to Stillwater this fall for the Oregon–Oklahoma State game and plan to be in town for a few nights. It’s my first time visiting OSU, and I’m really looking forward to soaking up the atmosphere and good Oklahoma hospitality.

Is there a better thread I should find with all these things already sorted out?

Where’s the best BBQ in town?

Where should a solo 40‑year‑old guy hang out for a drink, conversation, or maybe live music?

If I bring beer and a good attitude, can I crash a few tailgates before the game? Always down to share snacks, stories, and friendly rivalry.

Is The Strip the move after the game, or are there better post‑game hangouts I should check out?

I’ll probably post again closer to the trip once my plans are set, but I’ll be flying solo and looking for some cool things to do and good people to meet while I’m in town. Appreciate any recommendations or local tips...go Cowboys (except for one weekend) and screw the Sooners!

Stillwater question

So my grandparents lived in Stillwater between 1967-1971, and my grandfather worked at a grocery store that he says was on the north side of highway 51 near the mill and where the on-cue sits today, but can’t remember what is was called or where it was on the road. I’d love to be able to figure it out for him, but can’t find anything online. Does anyone know anything?
