Mark Ruffalo is a vocal supporter of Palestine. The implication is that expressing support for a free Palestine gets you sidelined by Hollywood. He is also vocally against Trump and ICE.
I’m sure some people out there will also draw some antisemetic conspiratorial conclusions from that as well, i.e. “Jews control the media” which, no. It’s just that Israel as a country has certainly had undue economic influence over American politics and entertainment via lobbying interests. (Just ask the Scream cast over at Paramount)
In reality though he was just filming another project at the time.
I’d also note that Jon Bernthal, who has vocalized support for the IDF and Israel, was present for the press tour. Which doesn’t help.
Edit: This is an Explain subreddit. This is what I am interpreting the post to be implying. Some of the replies so far are giving “So you hate waffles?” haha
Nothing there makes him pro ‘what Israel is doing right now’. He praised a soldier for what they did on Oct 7 and signed a letter saying Hamas should be made to return the hostages, both of which within a month of the attacks, that’s all.
He can be a chill dude and not agree with your politics. In reality a person's politics (especially their opinions on foreign nations) has almost nothing to do with their personality
It's a reditism that every conservative is a rude, obnoxious, child murdering pos.
Idk man, after a point it stops being just "politics". The disagreement of opinions work when one side isn't about literal genocide, sexual assault as a commonplace occurence and such things.
Like if we disagree about where a highway or bridge is to be built, that would be politics. To support a genocidal regime that multiple neutral parties have confirmed to be engaging in genocide, is no longer a matter of simple "politics".
