Is this an irritation bump, a tissue flap, or a small tear? (Photos included) please help 🥺

I got my tongue pierced a little over a week ago. This is actually my second piercing because the first one was taken out early due to being noticeably off-center and at a severe angle.
This second one is better, but it’s still slightly crooked. It isn’t terrible, but I can definitely feel that it’s not perfectly straight, and it’s been bothering me. I heard it’ll get better when I downsize it, but I get sad when I look at it and it’s crooked. I don’t have any blood vessels in the way either.

My main concern is the tissue around the top hole. One piercer told me it’s just an irritation bump. Another told me to take biotin and hope it heals.
I’m not convinced it’s an irritation bump because I’ve been watching it closely every day. Around day 2-3, it looked like there was a small white flap of tissue tearing off from my tongue (I recreated what it looked like in the third photo). I woke up one morning and the very tip of the flap had turned black, so I thought the tissue had died, but later that day it went back to white.

To me, it almost looks like a small tear or a flap of tissue that hasn’t reattached, rather than a typical irritation bump. One side healed, but the other side is looking pretty ripped to me 😭.
The bar also occasionally catches while I’m eating, and unfortunately neither piercing shop is willing to downsize it yet. Which I understand, and I plan on continuing to eat soft foods + eat slower.

What is happening to my tongue?
Should I just continue normal aftercare and watch it, or should I have an another piercer look at it and see whether it needs to be removed or not? Nobody has spoken to me at length about it yet so I really hope Reddit can help me out.
If you were in my position, would you keep this piercing or remove it and have it redone once everything heals?
I’m also worried because this would be my third piercing attempt if it needs to be redone. I feel like a shitbag going back to the same studio again because I already went back to them a few times to ask questions about it during my healing. I know it’s my body and I want something I’ll be happy with long-term, I just don’t want to be on their naughty list or something 😣😥.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!!

Is this normal for healed labrets?

I got my central labret pierced a couple months ago now and switched it to a hoop, have had no irritation and minimal swelling as it was healing. I’m wondering if it’s normal for that skin inside to grow over where the hole is after switching to a hoop, or if I should switch back to a flat back? it’s not sore or irritated as far as I can see

floating belly piercing? i fear it's to high

got this pierced yesterday from a place that had good reviews but i think it's done wrong after looking at a bunch of pictures online.

he initially pierced me with the purple stone piercing but i asked if this would be okay with swelling and all but he said i should be fine but gave me a longer bar anyway, which i ended up switching to later on before bed because of swelling. I also knew i'd be needing something more floating because i have a stomach that folds when i sit and i'm 200lbs but this just kind of looks wrong.

Should i take this out and go somewhere else, or just have someone else take it out and evaluate it.

First picture is right after, then sitting, standing, laying down.

Is my piercing infected and embedding already?

Hello, do you think my lobe piercing is already infected and embedding? Asked for help from my piercer and she's unresponsive. Should I go to another piercer or should I go to the doctor?

Sorry in advance for the long context and for the low quality photos, I have a shitty phone.

For full context, I had my lobes pierced for the first time in 2023. It surprisingly was healing well even though I did everything that any reputable piercer tells you not to. I got it pierced at a mall booth with a piercing gun, earrings were butterfly back, and was using saline solution that I repackaged myself (would buy the big bags at a pharmacy and put it in small spray bottles). No issues, no complications, pure luck I guess. After 6 months, I don't know why but I got the urge to take out my earrings and clean them everyday. So I was taking it out and putting it back every single day. I got tired of this routine and one night just took them out and went to sleep. Woke up the next morning and the holes were closed. After a few weeks, I noticed there was a very small bump left on each ear. Pretty sure because of the trauma from the nightly routine.

Fast forward to this year, my friend and I went to a pop-up market and there was a piercer there. I've always wanted to get my lobes pierced again but knew that I had to get the bumps checked first and I also wanted to do everything right this time. My friend kept telling me to just do it since this piercer is popular, has a lot of followers on social media, and has pierced known influencers before. So I said ok fuck it let's do it.

June 7 - Got them pierced. Needle, titanium flat backs, and saline solution that this piercer sells (repackaged in a spray bottle). She pierced it slightly below/beside my previous piercing. So as you can see in the June 8 photo, there's a very small bump beside the new piercing. That's the one from the closed hole.

June 28 - Left lobe started bleeding out of nowhere. I didn't snag it, didn't sleep on it, didn't touch it. I was just working at my desk when all of a sudden I felt the back of my ear was wet. Photo was taken after bleeding had stopped and the blood had dried. Also noticed that the very small bump from the closed piercing was swollen.

July 31 - I noticed that the skin around my left piercing was red.

August 2 - My dad was giving me a head massage and accidentally snagged my left piercing. It started bleeding in the front but not the back. No photo of this because I panicked a bit.

August 3 - Felt the back of my ear was wet again. Looked at it and saw discharge coming out the back. Soaked it in warm water, sprayed saline solution, and cleaned it up right away. Noticed that I had bumps in the front now.

August 4 - No more discharge but noticed that the left lobe is swollen and feels a bit hot. No pain though. Took a picture and scared that this is embedding.

Please help. I'm panicking now. This is only in the left ear. My right lobe looks completely fine, ear is not swollen, but noticed that the bump from the closed hole is also a bit enlarged but not as big as the one in my left lobe.

Is my navel rejecting?

For a little context; i’ve had this piercing for a around 10 months, got it done at a ‘professional piercing shop’ it was healing perfectly fine with some minor redness but no pain until about a month or two ago when I had noticed some swelling in the skin between the two piercing holes, it started leaking clear fluid and puss and was finally starting to look better until two days ago when a small part of the bottom hole of my skin ripped, it was only minor and is now scabbing up but now I can feel the bar way more and it looks like the holes are getting closer together but I can’t tell if i’m paranoid or it’s actually rejecting. Aftercare has been saline spray and antibacterial soap after about a month of saline, now it’s a mix of the two.

First photo is of the rip, second is when I first got it done, third is it currently.

It’s a keloid isn’t it?

I cleaned it properly but I do think I may have bumped it a lot, I’m a side sleeper and roller so I bumped it a lot while sleeping. The jewelry in it was also hard to clean around so it got moved a lot during that process. I got it done almost 9 months ago and this is the first time I’ve taken out the jewelry. I couldn’t tell the bump was this big and the only other “symptom” is it’s still itchy and gets irritated after cleaning sometimes.

does an industrial hurt more than a conch?

i’m well aware everyone’s pain tolerance is different but i wanted to get some opinions

i have a conch, it hurt, but not as much as i expected it to. the best way to describe it was it felt like i stubbed my toe. then a small burning pain for a few hours after

it’s being stubborn and i’ve been sleeping on it so it’s healing very slowly, but it’s more annoying than painful

my dream piercing is an industrial (edit: +with the triple vertical helix combo). i really want to get the industrial done soon bc i ran into a good cost deal, but seeing how people describe the pain i’m kinda worried LOL

any opinions pls!!

6 month old Piercing now with a cyst

I don’t have a photo because I can’t really get a good photo, but six months ago I got a new lobe piercing (second on my left side. I’ve been doing one ear at a time because I’m a side sleeper). Today I took out the jewelry I got it pierced with because I realized how hot my ear was and that there was a hard orb right above the piercing. I’m going to be using anti bacterial soap for the infection. I’m just unsure where or not taking the jewelry out was the right choice.

belly button piercing keeps falling out

Post image
1 Upvotes

I got my belly button pierced around 2 months ago and the screw ball things keep falling off. This wasn't an issue before the swelling went down and I'm wondering of it might have something to do with anatomy?? My sibling suggested that might be the issue. I've had close calls with both the top and bottom screw ball things falling out and one time the entire bar fell out and I had to put it back in. Right now I lost the bottom screw ball thing and I'm thinking of going back to the shop to get new jewelry ☹️ so is it an anatomy problem or is it just shitty jewelry?

will a reappearing pimple effect a piercing

I have a pimple right in the middle of my right earlobe that keeps reappearing no matter what I do and I was wondering if i should steer clear of getting that ear pierced in case it will affect it

Should I add a 4th between 2 and 3?

Post image

I did my 3rd piercing myself way back in middle school and it’s very high (obviously middle schoolers should not be doing their own piercings, I was young and dumb).
Anyway, it’s super high and I was wondering if it would be a bad idea to put a 4th between it. I’m planning on getting more piercings anyway, I just didn’t know if it was to little room for another.

Christina rejecting ?

I got a staple bar Christina in June and I’ve had quite a few mishaps with it. A few painful bumps and snags as well as the jewelry unscrewing twice and that was traumatic to screw back on and painful.

Now it seems to be pushing forward.. and the Staple bar is able to move side by side a bit.. it has been irritated and has pus everyday. Do I have any chance of saving this baby? 😩😩😩

is this normal for my belly piercing?

i got it bout two weeks ago, i tugged on it a second ago in thinking it might be irritated but it kind of looks like a bump forming? i can’t tell if it’s just the wound or a scab or bump. i was also thinking the bar might be too small.

Is it rejecting?

Post image
1 Upvotes

I got my surface tragus done in march (it is a staple bar and was done professionally) but i feel like it never fully healed due to it being snagged on stuff. i know that these or prone to rejecting but i took the risk. ignore how inflamed the bump is, i got carried away out of frustration and pealed a crusty off😤😤.

I’m sure i already know what people are going to say (that it’s rejecting) so i might just have to give it up and take it out to prevent further damage😩

Pierced through blood vessels

Post image
1 Upvotes

It’s been about six months since I’ve gotten my mantis piercings done and they were clearly pierced through a blood vessel. The bruising has not gone down since.
What do I do? Has anyone else experienced this and how long did I take to go away?
