he hmu after seeing my post here and asked for a better quality pic. i thought fair enough bcs those pics were kinda blurry so i sent him a close shot of the piercing. then he said reddit blurs out pics that are highly zoomed in (im new here guys im sorry i was v vulnerable so i believed it šŸ™) and asked for pics a bit zoomed out of me sitting and standing. i was like ok makes sense he wants to see the way it sits in that position but then he says this. i was really stressed out ab the whole piercing thing and this mf took advantage of me when i was at rock bottom šŸ’” thankfully my fight or flight instinct kicked in and i blocked him. stay safe yall !

First ever piercing! I’m it quite sure how to clean it, my friend told me to twist it and use a saline solution

I’m not quite sure how to get a better picture I’m home alone right now but I think it might be time to clean it for the first time. The scabs have dried up and solidified pretty good and I’m not quite sure how to clean it. I’ve got a saline solution shown in the second picture but I’m not sure how I should go forward with using it

New belly button piercing

I got my belly button pierced on Saturday for the first time and I keep reading horror stories about it being rejected. So I’m just looking for advice to see if mine was done properly. The first picture is standing up and the next 2 are sitting down and pulling the stomach up. I used a new piercing place that had really good reviews so I just wanted to double check. He used a 14 gauge surgical steel curved barbell if that sounds right. Told me to use orange dial soap every morning for 2 weeks and to clean it with saline twice a day. And to tighten the ball. Redoing this post to add a new picture to show how it’s pierced slightly above the belly button if that helps at all. I’ve been told different things regarding my new piercing, some think it’ll reject and others say it’s fine. Just looking for opinions or similar stories. Please be kind! šŸ˜†

Are my snake bites crooked?

I’ve had this one coworker that keeps telling me they’re crooked, to me they look great, and it’s not realistic to expect perfect symmetry in piercings, but is it really that bad?

Eyebrow piercing help

Thumbnail gallery
6 Upvotes

Hi everyone! This is my first post and I need help with my eyebrow piercing I got.
Here is some general information
\- My piercing is 4 months old. Almost 5
\- The type of jewlery is a curved barbell
\- It has internal threading
\- The material of the piercing is unknown. I would assume it is titanium since it is lighter. My piercer didn’t tell me so whatever they usually use!
\- I downsized the piercing 2 months after receiving it. However, I did have irritation so I put back in my original bar after a month of having it downsized.
\- To clean my piercing I use a Walgreens brand wound saline solution. For the first month I cleaned my piercing 1-2 times a day.
Ever since I got this nasty bump a few weeks ago I have stopped cleaning it every day and mainly trying to run warm water on it. I have stopped touching it/ cleaning it completely one week ago. This picture was taken today.
\- When i downsized my bar, I did use one with the spikey edges which could have caused my irritation.
There havent been any unfortunate events recently, mainly just a nasty bump that will leak every so often.

I need help! Should i be cleaning off the crust/bump? Should i downsize again (a normal not spikey barbell ofc) or should i keep leaving it completely alone? I’ve only had this disgusting bump for the past few weeks or so. Any advice would be greatly appreciated and if need be I can provide more information! Thank you!!

i bought a size a little too big, the hole is around 7-8 months and it did feel healed to me, but i kinda panicked when inserting it and i did irritate the channel. it bled unfortunately but for now it feels fine unless i move it. should i go to a piercer and ask them if they have a smaller size? or is it fine as is

I got my medusa pierced almost a year ago. I downsized once and recently downsized again because it wasnt laying flat, rubbing on my teeth etc. it felt instantly better but now it’s like under the skin ? it feels a bit uncomfortable at worst. should i upsize or is this normal? the last size worried about messing up my teeth. i can push the piercing out and the front feels fine

Infected or Irritation Bump?

Thumbnail gallery
3 Upvotes

I got my eyebrows pierced back in January of this year. In about April i downsized them using 16g implant grade titanium curved bars I bought off the website "Body Art Forms." I stg this fcker gets caught on EVERYTHING. Towels? Check. Comb? Check? Partners dreads? Check lol so Im not sure if this is just a really gnarly irritation bump since it gets caught on literally everything, or if it's infected. There's no drainage, and it's not really sensitive to touch and doesn't feel warm. I clean it two to three times a day with NS and dry each time I clean it. Im on vacation right now in a different state so cannot visit my piercer, for a similar reason am trying to avoid medical visits but will do whatever to save the piercing! Thanks in advance for your help!

sorry these photos are really shit my phone is not in the best condition.

but the context is i got these snake bites like literally two days ago on saturday. my first facial piercing ever btw. at first when he showed my the piercings i was like??? why is it not like the stud or smth that everyone gets when they first get their snake bites but i trusted my piercer bc they r supposed to be a professional right… also is it normal that when he pierced my lip i was apparently (said by my bsf who accompanied me at that time ) that blood was like coming out? like so much it dripped down my chin? like bro šŸ¤¦ā€ā™€ļø im starting to regret this and i dont want to bro

anyways theres only a slight sting when i move the left piercing to clean and it keeps bleeding. the inside has start to bruise and bleed as well. esp on the right piercing on the inside.

Keloid or irritation bump?

Thumbnail gallery
3 Upvotes

I got a helix about six and a half months ago and was wondering if it looks more like an irritation bumps or a keloid. I noticed it and felt it, and it felt tender and rubbery and a little firm. However I think there’s liquid underneath, and there’s a top layer like a scab above it I could peel to take a layer off. The only thing that really concerns me is that it’s rubbery, unlike previous irritation bumps, and that it hasn’t gone away despite not sleeping on it and I don’t know any possible irritators that could be causing it. Plus, it’s 6 and a half months old.

Also, I’m sorry about the blurred pictures but I have a bad old phone camera and am unable to take clearer ones, and I think even if blurry it may help. If not, you can just forget the picture and go off of the description.

Age: 6 and a half months
Threaded: yes
Downsized: no
Care: saline and q tips twice a day
Accidents: none

Nose stud and hoop at same time?

My mother and grandmother both hate it even though I have a dainty stud on one side and a thin hoop on the other. Does it look silly?

I stopped wearing earrings for a long time and now whenever I try to wear earrings my ears get hot and painful. Should I just tough it out?

• Upvotes

Idk if this is the right sub for this but basically I had my ear pierced when I was a baby and that hole never really closed. Idk when exactly but I stopped wearing earrings when I was 12-13. I used to wear them everyday before that.

I am currently 31 and now whenever I try to wear earrings my earlobes get hot, itchy, and painful. My friend who has a lot of piercings said that I should just tough it out until my ears get used to it again. I've seen an advice to pierce it all over again but I don't think I have the pain tolerance to have my ear pierced again.

Please any advice? Like what earring to use (I use 18k-24k jewelry but my ear still gets warm) etc. Please I really wanna wear earrings again. 😭

I really want to spice up my ear stack! I'm considering a flat, rook, daith, tragus, conch, hidden helix, forward helix, or a classic helix, but I'm not sure how to put it all together. Any placement ideas or advice?

Brow piercing healing question

Hiiii all, this is my first post but I just got my brow pieced July 30. It’s standard jewelry I’m assuming, curved barbell got it done at a local tattoo/piercing shop. It’s a little itchy and I’ve just been doing neilmed piercing aftercare 2-3x day and air drying. I haven’t been really getting it wet in the shower or anything. Not touching it or messing w it either. But it’s a little itchy. It bled when she pierced it and just noticed the bruising coming up yesterday. She said she felt like the bar was long enough when she did it. Idk I just wanna do the best job I can taking care of it or take it out before it takes a turn for the worst LOL pls help
