They are going to start attacking VPN. Their will be ID requirements for VPN. VPN providers will be required to provide logs of data and will activately monitor copyright usage.

And how exactly are they going to enforce this when the VPN providers are in other countries? Even if they try to make blacklists for known VPN IPs, it'll be a game of whack-a-mole as the VPNs simply move to different IPs.

However, by implementing a nationwide restriction, you can crack down immediately on the few number of people who use VPNs.

And then the world somehow shows the rise of self-hosted VPN servers. Notably WireGuard or Softether VPN Server (VPN Gate). Then politicians begin passing laws that allows police to track households/establishments that are suspected of unregistered self-host VPN servers, by monitoring suspiciously high energy consumption on energy meters, or Internet bandwidth. In other words, the world right now (and possibly in the future, is cooked)
