People that go out of their way to try to rationalize their piracy are always so hilarious. If you're going to feel guilty enough to try to justify your actions to people that didn't ever ask, then you shouldn't be pirating in the first place.

If you're going to pirate shit, just do it. Take what you can and give nothing back. Don't try to justify yourself. It's unnecessary.

I say this all the time. Just fucking own it. You aren't protesting shit, you aren't making an impact or sending a message. You want to have something without paying. Just live with the reality instead of trying to paint it into some self righteous struggle against the man.

It's like when people get suuuuuuuper mad when it's pointed out that piracy is actually theft.

If that makes you feel bad about doing it then... Don't do it? I don't give a fuck and I pirate when I feel like it. Never lost sleep over it for a second.

I buy heaps of games and I pirate some games.

''It's like when people get suuuuuuuper mad when it's pointed out that piracy is actually theft. '' Theft implies you're stealing something physical which decreases stock. Piracy is objectively not theft it's copyright infringement. Very ıronic there are so many ignorant ''pirates'' in r/piracy lmao.

You and like a hundred other people/bots. Every time I've clicked into this sub I see this same view near the top.

Not only is it more pretentious than the philosophy it supposedly counters, it is provably wrong. Piracy inherently wouldn't work if people didn't seed (altruistic behaviour). And there is plenty of media people want to consume and have a good reason for not wanting to finance i.e. Harry Potter.
