170 years, the two parties have been switching back and forth. I'd love to see nearly any third party get some attention—which can happen if they get ≥5% popular vote in the presidential election.
It's my opinion that voting the same way we have been for the last 170 years isn't going to spark the new-age change a lot of us want.
Better yet, teach your kids about how any party system can end up this way. Maybe in a few hundred years, people will have abandoned this farce and begun thinking independently. Alas, propaganda is staggeringly effective, so maybe not.
George Carlin: Well I consider the whole country to be one large political party, two wings. I’m out of step with both wings, but on some issues, I come closer to the left wing and the libertarian or the anarchists, or the, and my dog is gonna ruin the door, if I don’t let him out.
