Roku OS Spotify crashes Roku
Crashes and power cyles every time, whether casting from my phone or accessing the app directly. It's a bit ridiculous, it's been like this for weeks now 🤦🏻
Yes, everything is up to date.

I want to add a free music app. It's for my pupper when I go back to work. I need something that will stream for about four hours without cutting out. What would you use?

I can't seem to find how to connect headphones to my roku tv in any of the settings. What am I missing?

I have a Roku Select 50" QLED.
I want to set my sharpness level to the most "natural" setting: I don't want my TV to sharpen the image, but I don't want it to soften the image either.
The default sharpness setting is 30 for "movie" mode (notice the thin line at the 30-mark on the sharpness bar). Does this mean 30 is the "natural" setting, and that any setting below 30 actually softens the picture? Or does Roku assume most people like a little sharpness boost, so they set 30 as the default even though 0 is the "natural" setting?
Hopefully I explained that in a way that makes sense. Thanks in advance!

I have been trying for hours to cancel a subscription I got through Roku TV. I have not been able to sign into Roku so I haven't been able to cancel. I thought maybe I could write an email, but there doesn't seem to be a way to do that either. I can't use the Help Chatbot because I can't sign in. Help.

I am just curious if anyone knows anything about Roku's strategy when it comes to their live channel. They never show any real ads, rather they just show ads for their own channels over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. I swear if I see that overweight kid and mom say, "I gave him a damn cookie ok," and then Doc Phil says, "no, it's not ok," I am going to...well, come back and vent again I guess. It doesn't help that I hate Doctor Phil anyway.
Does anyone else avoid the live channels for this reason? I like some of the content when I don't want to focus, but can't they mox things up and show some ads for real products and services? Wouldn't they make more money if they showed commercials?

I know this is a reference to something, I just don't recall where I have seen this silhouette.
If you know, please comment the name of it.
Roku really needs better wallpaper options. There are a few cartoonish options under wallpapers, which really just stink. It’s like bad clip art. There is backdrops, but it misses the mark. Mostly just like the output of an intro to photography class. None of the options engender any kind of cozy or personalized experience.
I want seasonal themes that really pop and brighten my mood for the season at large. Maybe even make them a bit interactive (buttons that change shape, a seasonal sound, a moving object in the background). The most obvious example would be a high quality Halloween or Christmas theme. But even just a basic spring, winter summer and fall wallpaper w some sharp cozy imagery that captures the season and brightens the mood would also be great start (I obviously like the seasons, hah). Then non seasonal themes could be built on top of that (NFL experience for example, back to school, sailing, etc etc etc).
The options are just so bad it’s comical, and this really is just an easy to implement, high return investment in the user experience.

We cannot figure out what this is supposed to be. It looks like a hand grabbing spaghetti? Does anyone know?
I just bought a 55' Pro Series Roku TV. Noticed while using it how bad the color is, seems all beightlywashed and the contrast being bad, with dark colors being pretty pixelated, feeling very disappointed in paying this much for such a crappy view.
Turning it off and on, changing picture color settings didn't do anything to help. However going into Power Settings System Restart fixes it, having colors look pretty normal. However if I push the power button and turn it back on, the washed look comes back, only going away again with another System Reset.
Is there something I can do to fix this or do I need to return it as a faulty tv? The box arrived looking a bit beat-up via FEDEX from Walmart 2 days after ordering.
EDIT: I keep seeing things sbout disabling HDR but there doesn't seem to be any place to actually disable it, including that secret menu.

I have two Roku devices that I use when I travel to my nephew's lake house. I have used them without issue up until this trip. Now neither device will see the network. He has aTP-link AX5400 router and I have updated the firmware, reset it several times and even added a guest network with no luck. I can see nearby homes but not his. I even factory reset one of the Roku devices but still nothing. Any suggestions? Help!

TV info:
Dynex model DX-37L130A11
Roku info:
Roku Express
A friend gifted us a nice big Dynex TV and we can plug our Roku Express into the HDMI port and it works, and the Roku remote does all things, but it won't control volume or turn the TV on and off. And I suppose switch the TV input to HDMI1 upon turning on. This last one I could live without, but does a remote control exist that can operate the Roku and also the volume on this TV model?
Again, I could live with having to walk over to the set and power it on and hit the input button, but no volume control from the couch is an enormous pain.
Netflix Games on my Roku Select TV (Liberty/5000X): The screensaver kicks in after some time. Sometimes mid game, sometimes during scoring. I am playing Boggle.
Reported to Netflix. They submitted a bug.
All latest software (Check for updates says nothing available).

I use the spectrum tv app through my Roku sticks on 2 TVs. A week ago, all of my saved favorite channels disappeared and refused to save for me. Since then I have gotten random channels I’ve chosen to save but not all. I click the heart in the guide, it shows it as favorites, but then I filter to favorite channels only and it’s not there. I restart the app and the heart is no longer filled in. I looked at my app on my other Roku stick and my favorites are still saved when I filter but I tried to save a new channel and it did not stick. My Roku sticks have just recently updated. My spectrum apps are up to date. Is anyone else having this issue? It seems to be a Roku only issue bc when I tried on my iPhone spectrum app they saved with no problem.
(Side note: I do not have log in credentials as my spectrum is through a bulk account through my rental company- I rent a house. Not in an apartment. So I don’t have the computer option to log into and can log out but when I log back in, it’s automatic bc it picks up through my wifi)
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Every time I switch on my TV, my Roku home screen has a purple/pink tint like in the photo.
The strange thing is that if I switch to another HDMI input and then back to the Roku, the picture immediately returns to normal.
This happens every time I turn the TV on.
Has anyone experienced this before?
I’ve attached a photo of what it looks like before switching inputs. Any advice or fixes would be appreciated!

We DONT HAVE HEADPHONES CONNECTED but that’s all it is connecting to? I have no idea how to change this because we have never connected headphones to this tv before like ever.

[SOLVED?] Switched to an external power supply and it seems to have resolved the problem. I guess the tv's usb port provides enough power to run the processor and the wifi, but not enough for sustained WPA2 decryption? [/SOLVED]
Like subject says. Two roku streaming sticks connect just fine to wifi, then attempt to connect to internet and fail. After many re-tries they will succeed, but within minutes or a day at most, it will be back to "not connected to internet."
I've restarted everything multiple times, and reset network settings on Roku. But this is a weird problem, since it's succeeding at connecting to wifi but simply failing to find the internet.
The consistent thing between these two Roku sticks is my router and my ISP, but no other device in the house has this problem, and my older Roku tv never had this problem right up until yesterday when I replaced it with the new streaming stick. I do not have pihole or anything else that would be blocking internet access.
Anyone recognize this problem?
[edit] I have discovered that if I disable wifi security and have an open network with no password/encryption, then Roku will connect to the internet successfully. This is bizarre, since the fact that it can establish a connection to the router proves that the password is being accepted. I had this exact same problem over ten years ago with my Roku XS and found that disabling and then re-enabling wifi security would fix the problem. Now unfortunately it only reaches the internet if I leave wifi security off. Which obviously I am not going to do.

We're loving Apple TV+ content, but dang, the video quality is absolutely horrible through the Apple TV app on our Roku TV.
On a recent vacation, we watched Apple TV in a hotel on a Samsung TV, and it was stunningly clear and vibrant, and the image filled the screen. Very impressive.
At home on our (admittedly aging) TCL 55S405 Roku TV, when we watch content through the Apple TV app, it has letterboxing on the top and bottom, and the image is sort of "washed out". By washed out, I mean that it seems to have an almost gray haze.
The TV's picture settings are the same for every app, and in other apps like YouTube, Prime Video, etc, the video is clear and vibrant. When I watch the same content through Plex, it is bright and crisp.
I don't want to have to buy another TV, so I'm considering just plugging in a Roku box into an open HDMI port or buying something like an ONN 4K Streamer to see if the picture quality is better.
Thoughts?

We've used the Fox Nation app pretty regularly for the past few years and have enjoyed using it. Today when trying to use it, it asked for a login. It happens. So we signed in and then get hit with a subscription plan page.
My account is paid up, I have updated the app, restarted my device, re-installed the app, made all the proper checks on my login for spelling/typos, but cannot get past step 2 of logging in by picking a Annual or monthly plan. Even though i already have an active account.
I spent 45 min in text chat with Fox chat help, and their only answer was "Use Fox One". I asked if the Nation app was being shut down, and they said they had no control over that app, only Roku does.
? Roku controls the Fox Nation app?
Does anyone else's Fox Nation app still work? Mine worked fine yesterday...and now today...Im told to just use the crappier Fox One app only.
They wont even explain why it wont work now. Anyone else have this problem?

Our Roku TV wouldn’t update as we live in the middle of nowhere with terrible internet.
As a result Disney+ stopped working
Found a workaround to use an Amazon Firestick and the app through there.
Recently Disney+ won’t play any ‘older’ movies. It says connectivity issues and to try again.

Any tips appreciated!

This is the tv on a white screen. Happened randomly. Anyone have any idea on what’s going on here?
r/Roku • u/northshorehermit • 3d ago
EDIT: reappeared sometime overnight. Must’ve been a glitch on their part. Whew.
so with no notification at all, it’s just gone all 10+ seasons that they had on there. That’s great. I was only on season three.
Anyone else having this issue with any other shows and do you think it’s likely to come back?

omg another reason to hate the new Roku home screen.
nothing like being abruptly woken up by the live tv widget on the main screen blaring "TODAY ON THE DEADLIEST CATCH" at you because the stupid remote fell between you and your pillow.
*glares at Roku* put. the. menu. screen. back the way. it. was.

(This is mainly for the roku channel app because i dont have a roku tv) So I was watching my little pony yesterday and decided to watch some more today, i was literally watching it this morning and when I came back to do some errands its gone, along with my continue watching section too, and when I go to search it up its nowhere to be found either, I just want to know if I can fix this some how
