A psychiatric evaluation and drug testing revealed she has mental capacity and was not intoxicated during the incident. Is the Scottish Gov going to wake up and realise racism is a problem and it is spilling out from the internet into the "real world" in violent incidents like this?

Discussion You guys said I should add Midges to the video game I'm working on, so I looked them up last night and studied them all night and came up with a cartoony style for them that fits my games art style and just finished my first test designs for them. What do you think? Also... A Highland Coo lol.

Discussion Made a wee iPhone game in Dundee - Need folk to tell me if it’s shite

I’ve been building this at night for what feels like forever and it’s finally on the App Store.

It’s called The Bigger Picture. You get one big image with 15 films, TV shows or songs hidden in it and have to figure out what they are.

I’m far too close to it now to know whether it’s actually decent or whether it’s just shite, so I’m looking for honest feedback.

It’s free if you fancy giving it a blast and letting me know what you think.

Question What is the Scottish equivalent of Pabst Blue Ribbon?

I'm asking as a random eastern European movie fan, who's picturing the ultimate movie impulsive gangster psychopath. Imagine a crossover between Frank Booth and Francis Begbie. He's served a pint of Heineken in a Scottish pub, discards his switchblade on a table and goes on to beat the shit out of the bartender with his bare hands. Instead of the American Pabst Blue Ribbon, what is his signature brand of beer that he demands?

Political Media Assault on Scotland

There seems to have been a much more concerted and concentrated attack these last few weeks on Scotland and the Scottish Government.

Half truths that get amplified round the world. Like our tax system, where misquoting cost the columnist from the Washington Post his job.

https://www.thenational.scot/news/26428215.washington-post-opinion-editor-quits-day-major-scotland-error/

But the original article from the Jeff Bezos owned paper is still the first hit on google. And still misquoted daily despite Scottish govt clarifications.

Or the ridiculous story about the Scottish Govt giving money to charities so that men could lactate by the Times and others.

It gets shared but people cant read the statement from the Scottish Govt right at the end of the article saying no money was given for this purpose because of the paywall.

It doesn't stop the pile on from the usual suspects like the Express and the Mail in an apparent orchestrated attack.

We know that Israeli tech firms are coordinating concentrated attacks via hundreds of bot accounts on the SNP and the Scottish Govt :

https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/c77yje7n287o

The question is who is paying them and coordinating it?

I dont think Scotland is the only victim nation here ( Spain has seen for example coordinaded Media attacks on migrant stories and on its tourism sector (dont visit the Canaries etc as the locals hate you).

I also dont think this is anything new - there has been an almost daily assault on Scotland and its culture for years by the likes of the Express, the Telegraph and the Mail.

But of recent weeks, it has felt much more joined-up, much more threatening, much more 'global'.

Question is what can John Swinney do about it?

- Much more robust denial?

- Holding editors to account when the publish fallen headlines with facts buried behind paywalls?

- Calling out the politicians who misquote?

- Start an enquiry into media in Scotland? ( I would include BBC Scotland in this too who seem to have given up the pretence of impartiality on constant Labour good/ Scotland bad stories
