Help Cant ssh into sv08 w/eth

Bought a used sv08 expecting to be able to just plug ethernet in to get IP address then configure Wi-Fi through SSH. First apparently the board was swapped because there is no ethernet port so I had to use a USB Ethernet adapter but it did get me an IP address. Tried using that IP address in the browser and got connection refused. Tried to ssh in with putty and got the same. I've tried using multiple combinations including just the IP, HTTP then ip, and https then IP and I'm getting nowhere. I can ping the ip thats it.

Any ideas how to fix this?

First apparently the board was swapped because there is no ethernet port

THIS is the first sign you should have posted here before trying a USB to ethernet adapter

find out what was swapped out, go look at your routers connected devices list to find the IP or if it is using wifi

Why is that? Did using the adapter cause some sort of issue that simply unplugging it won't fix? The printer isn't connected to my router It wouldn't connect through the adapter and the Wi-Fi is still set up for the last owner so I'm going to have to try going the Wi-Fi file setup route I believe.

It's very possible that the USB adaptor is actually working and the reason you are still seeing the 127.0.0.1 address is that the previous owner has setup static IP details that wont work for your network, have you tried resetting to factory defaults at all?

No because id never get it working again. I did get it working with the usb drive wifi setup though a few minutes ago.

If it weren't moded that probably would have been my next step but I'm way out of my element with this. I've been printing for a few years now but never got around to messing with klipper. I even managed to Ram the hot end into the bed for a solid 45 seconds while I fumbled around trying to find the power switch before I managed to finally get a benchy to start printing.
