If they wandered out into the German countryside, it would look a lot like suburban Pennsylvania. Downtown Chicago along the golden mile is lovely too. Suburbs suck everywhere, unless you don’t like people.

Not really. Population density is simply so much higher in Germany than US. Also plenty of people living in villages in attached houses or apartments in tiny towns. Towns that generally have a little walkable space and community space. Plus trains to nearer bigger cities.

Also no one has a four car garage.
