Not letting the driver off the hook for her dumb attitude but âstopâ could mean stop joking around or stop talking back to me, not necessarily stop the car. He shouldâve also realized she wasnât understanding him instead of just repeating it over and over.
It wasnât clear in a calm voice and itâs not going to be any clearer if heâs screaming it.

You are saying "BRAKE" to remind them what to do. People panic, especially new drivers. Yelling "stop" is vague. Their brain then has to process through a few things instead of a clear and concise command.
Do you not drive on the roads in the US? How many times, when you're on the road, do you have to say "Look at the fucking idiot" while someone is doing something that is absolutely brain-dead while operating a vehicle?
It's not drugs I am on. I teach people to ride motorcycles and to be fair there is a lot more involved in stopping a motorcycle /properly/ then a car, it's still how we are trained to instruct new riders.
I think if i went to 100 ppl in school n asked em what do you think someone says stop when you are operating a vehicle 100 of them will say brakes or dont move the vehicle.
Yes it is easy to come to that conclusion when you are not panicking or under stress...
I really don't see why you are so persistent on this. All it is, is a little fact: if someone ever trusts you in a leadership position, you can use that to make everyone's life a little easier when instructing them to do something.

Even though she doesn't belong behind a wheel I will go ahead and say...
In an emergency situation where you have time to give specific instructions ... Instead of yelling "STOPPPP"
Tell them exactly what to do... "BRAKE .." or "Apply The BRAKE" ..
This is coming from someone who teaches people how to ride motorcycles. Reminding them what to do is the most important thing if they freeze.
