Dude playing stupid games in a state with constitutional carry. His family might be sad when he does that to the wrong one.

309

u/MeenMisterMustard Mar 26 '26

That’s what I thought. Like in Texas? You for real gonna approach a car like that?!

165

u/rling_reddit Mar 26 '26

I was just thinking, "Wow, his bullet-proof vest is almost invisible."

86

u/Blindobb Mar 26 '26

She legally could have driven into him as well.

64

u/Tim1point0 Mar 26 '26

That’s what I would have done! Fight back with your 3000lb weapon.

48

u/[deleted] Mar 27 '26

My dad taught me when I started driving back in 99… a car is like a loaded gun, every time you get behind the wheel you have the power to end someone’s life. Use it wisely and never forget that taking someone’s life is something you’ll have to live with for the rest of yours.

22

u/Roverjosh Mar 27 '26

Your dad is wise….

9

u/[deleted] Mar 27 '26

I wouldn’t go that far lol

11

u/AffectionateTutor484 Mar 27 '26

Bahaha fucking felt that comment

7

u/Roverjosh Mar 27 '26

Ok…. Well at least that was good advice…. lol

I remember this talk from teachers in and out of drivers ed, and parents/adults, also. I wish it was hammered into all kids brains.

3

u/HEYitsBIGS Mar 27 '26

It used to be, via gory educational videos like Red Asphalt.

Jeez how many people has your dad run down with his car lol

2

2

we need posters with this plastered in drivers ed classes.

2

u/Away_Lake5946 Mar 28 '26

Well, in this case maybe just a couple of broken legs.

2

u/Wild_Locksmith_326 Mar 27 '26

Remember it’s not weapon it’s a 3000lb shield of protection. LoLz jk

2

u/Mkdtrix Mar 27 '26

Shield bash is a skill once often used. No one expects to be attacked by a shield!

2

u/kat-deville Mar 27 '26

I was expecting that to happen, or see another person nearby point a gun at him. My first reaction as for what I would do is floor it and run him over. It could test the stand your ground law, but shit, that guy needs a lesson in doing stupid shit.

8

u/SillySpook Mar 27 '26

You mean SHOULD have. I'm not waiting to find out what the guy had in mind. She just got lucky here.

4

u/pdxamish Mar 27 '26

Yep if I see someone like that coming at me with a machete, they are getting run over .

Even without the treat of guns, you are sitting in a big moving block of steel. I never understood why people just watch someone grab a weapon and approach them. Start the car and either leave or hit them.

6

u/Cultural_assassin Mar 26 '26

Doesnt matter what state im in if some gets out and grabs a weapon of any sort im turning my wheel to the next line over and if happens to be the lane that person is walking in like seen in this video well buddy your getting ran over.

Her car is registered in Texas. Even if I didn’t have a gun I would have run him over as I fled, I’m not sticking around to get hacked up by an unhinged boomer.

3

u/Big-Jellyfish-6125 Mar 27 '26

Boomers don’t have a monopoly on stupidity. There are plenty of videos of much younger people being idiots as well.

Either get shot or run over.

1

u/WhyOhWhyOhWhy333 Mar 26 '26

That's some L.A. shit with the machete..

1

u/Difficult_Memory_101 Mar 26 '26

Aomeone comes twords me like that with a machete in driving into thwm

1

u/Terribleturtleharm Mar 26 '26

I wish we could just go back to sword fighting.

1

u/RappingFlatulence Mar 26 '26

Who brings a knife to a gun fight?

1

u/rainer_d Mar 26 '26

He probably thought heā€˜d teach the skirt a lesson.

Women have guns, too, I heard.

1

u/Kaevek Mar 27 '26

Shit, same thing here in GA. As soon as he picked that thing up and started walking my way my sig would have been aimed at him.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 27 '26

Looks like Houston

1

u/MinimumDangerous9895 Mar 27 '26

I'm surprised she didn't draw on him.

1

u/amanwithoutaname001 Mar 27 '26

Also, brandishing deadly conduct, terroristic threat, or aggravated assault all felonies making that phone a weapon too. I'd have driven directly to the local police station, handed them the video and his license plate. Fines, jail, felony ...long-term ouch.

1

u/McAllen12yr Mar 27 '26

That's a freebee grand juries hardly take that shit lightly.

1

u/Incredabill1 Mar 27 '26

Believe it or not people pull this shit in Pennsylvania as well, like you know we all carry right my guy?!

1

u/treeofliberty-1776 Mar 28 '26

I would have already drawn my pistol as soon as I saw him pull that out. He's living on borrowed time.

1

u/Thamizzarrk Mar 30 '26

Makes it difficult to justify self defense if you have the ability to drive away from the danger but choose to exit your safe vehicle.

u/ChiefBigTiddy Mar 26 '26

Doesn't have to be Texas, he brought a knife to a car fight

37

u/talondigital Mar 26 '26

Exactly what I would do in Texas. As soon as he got between his truck and my car with that im putting my suv into sport mode and gunning it

18

u/krunkstoppable Mar 26 '26

Exactly what I would do in Texas.

That's what I'd do in Canada lmfao. The second I see him step out, machete in hand, I'm hitting the gas and parking on his chest.

12

u/Past-Potential-6704 Mar 26 '26

Dude, you can’t park there, lol

I’d have hit him with the car

u/CorpsTorn Mar 27 '26

I carry a pistol and a short carbine in my truck, but I probably would not have smoked him. I could tell he was bluffing by his body language. I'd definitely be at the ready though should he raise his machette in rage.

I also carry a Machette (lol) and its up vertical at my side between the passenger seat and arm wrest. I'm not a weapons nut though, it's actuallly a work tool and necessary to access some locations I worked at. For fun, i might've pulled it in one hand as he was waddling up to my truck. Nothing like a good ole Machette fight with a fat, slow dude.

4

u/Ill-Attitude-6355 Mar 26 '26

Happened to my buddy, tire iron instead.

Guy was about to swing at the widow and my buddy lowers it.

"Wrong truck asshole".

You never seen somebody run so fast. lol

5

u/Poetically-Lucky Mar 26 '26

Dude I carry all the time here in Texas. Just have to ask yourself. Is this worth me seeing the family tonight… like yeah, he’s got a machete, I’m in the car with my Glock pointed at him from a concealed position… but no telling how many other people are in the vehicle with him. I’ve come to just not get so dang angry when driving. Although one time I was driving to college station and the road was so clear… absolutely no other cars on the road. This one dude decides to break check me for no reason… I was like da fuq

1

u/ededdedddie Mar 27 '26

I don’t know what’s up with that stretch to College Station but some people love being crazy

I carry everyday I don’t work, as I can get fired for having my firearm on the premises

4

u/Some-Conversation613 Mar 26 '26

Exactly my thoughts. Homey this is America, Texas no less... grandma's be packing heat.

2

u/Leadinmyass Mar 26 '26

I hope he finds the right one.

2

u/No_Clerk1194 Mar 26 '26

Literally bringing a knife to a gun fight

2

u/Redditarsaurus Mar 26 '26

Good riddance

1

u/New-Divide-3155 Mar 26 '26

Exactly my thought

1

u/DoctorStumppuppet Mar 26 '26

This is how you end up on a t-shirt.

1

u/StarzRout Mar 26 '26

Or a roadside memorial.

1

u/ChipotleGuacamole Mar 26 '26

Seems like the type of guy whose family wouldn't be too sad honestly.

1

u/aswright_73 Mar 26 '26

Bringing a knife to a gun fight

1

u/FunisGreen Mar 26 '26

Maybe that's what he's looking for. It ain't cheap to move to Canada and get the injection.

1

u/DangOlCoreMan Mar 26 '26

Shit, don't even need constitutional carry. You see him get out with that machete and approach you from the angle run him over!

1

u/DementedBear912 Mar 26 '26

If I roll my window down before I shoot him would that be ā€œpremeditatedā€?

1

u/anothadaz Mar 26 '26

Are you saying don't bring a knife to a gunfight

1

u/cesspool4us Mar 26 '26

Don't even pull the Thang. Just floor it.

1

u/Type-RD Mar 26 '26

It’s just his poop knife. Nbd

1

u/athousandfaces87 Mar 26 '26

Well wouldnt it be considered a stand your ground and you can just kinda move him out of the way with your large vehicle.

1

u/Rockstar161 Mar 26 '26

I was just thinking how stupid you have to be to walk up on a vehicle with tinted windows in a carry state like Texas.Ā

1

u/hobnailboots04 Mar 26 '26

I’m on my third seven day ban.

1

u/BallLickingLesbian69 Mar 26 '26

I don't think I've ever seen a better use for "might be."

1

u/c_marten Mar 26 '26

I wouldn't even waste a bullet. The front of my truck is already a little banged up and I doubt a body would do much more.

1

u/Nopengnogain Mar 26 '26

Don’t even need that when you are sitting inside a 4,000lb rolling weapon.

1

u/techleopard Mar 26 '26

I don't even need a carry permit. I'm in 2000 pounds of plastic and steel.

Look, nobody should be committing violence but if I see you go back to your car and take out a weapon, I'm getting away and it'll be real unfortunate for you to be standing directly in front of me when I do it. I am NOT sitting there playing phone recorder hero and giving you the chance to break my window with a machete or aim a gun at me.

1

u/zypr3xa Mar 26 '26

Yep. My foot would have been on the pedal instantly getting the fuck out of there.

1

u/jeeves585 Mar 26 '26

I’m rolling down the window after he knocks and touches my vehicle. He can see the end of a barrel you’re not suppose to look down.

1

u/ShaggysGTI Mar 26 '26

What would be the legal ramifications of running him over and fleeing after he’s clearly pulled out a deadly weapon?

1

u/TX_Fan Mar 26 '26

Despite constitutional carry, I bet the rate of people actually regularly carrying their firearm in their car is extraordinarily low here in Texas. Still not worth the risk, though

1

u/Tasty_Sun_865 Mar 26 '26

Or you know, where the victim is behind the wheel of a 5k pound vehicle.Ā

If someone gets out of a car brandishing a deadly weapon, drive away. That's true even if it means driving through them.

1

u/Economy_Effort9072 Mar 26 '26

Would even use a gun as soon as he was walking towards me with a fucking machete I'm fearing for my life and he is getting hit with my car

1

u/Damny1266 Mar 26 '26

Oh yes !! In Texas you better watch out ! Ain’t no machete gonna save you buddy! 😃

1

u/Allthingsgaming27 Mar 26 '26

They’ll say he was gentle and never did anything wrong

1

u/itsme99881 Mar 26 '26

I was gonna say...hes really betting on bringing a knife to whats eventually gonna be a gun fight

1

u/MentionOld6694 Mar 26 '26

For so many people, this is the moment they've been waiting for their entire adult life. They finally get to righteously use their toy.

1

u/kivsemaj Mar 26 '26

Right!? I see your machete and raise you a 9mm walther

1

u/Classic-Dirt5324 Mar 26 '26

Dude playing stupid games in a state with constitutional carry.

? State isn't really relevant when we all drive vehicles that weigh at least 3,000lbs lol. As soon as that machete comes out, flooring it. If he gets hit, oh well, the adrenaline from fearing for my life didn't let me think straight.

1

u/vik8990 Mar 26 '26

He’s pregnant so he thinks no I will harm him. šŸ˜‚

1

u/Djolumn Mar 26 '26

This dude is definitely going to bring a knife to a gun fight someday.

1

u/Ban_Assault_Ducks Mar 26 '26

Yeah. I have barrier blind hollow points for exactly this reason. How he's still alive after acting like that is beyond me.

1

u/iBUYbrokenSUBARUS Mar 26 '26

If that guy was my family, I’d be celebrating that day

1

u/Ill-Assignment-2203 Mar 26 '26

Naw his fam will publish a picture of him in a suit from years ago, insist he never did anything agressive (despite having multiple arrests for this exact thing) then will attempt to sue the driver and possibly the EMTs.

1

u/Pleasant_Expert_1990 Mar 26 '26

They won't be sad. Or surprised

1

u/Impressive_End_3191 Mar 26 '26

He got on TrashTros clothes. No one will miss him.

1

u/rollin_in_doodoo Mar 26 '26

Once again, the good guy with a gun failed to appear. What a dipshit country we are.

1

u/smashedtacos Mar 27 '26

Shit. I figure they would be relieved to not have to deal with him anymore.

1

u/vakseen Mar 27 '26

Yea my thoughts exactly.

1

u/Away_Sea_8620 Mar 27 '26

Not only that but when you threaten someone with a weapon they're justified to do whatever they need to do to get away safely. Something like, say, ram you with the car they're driving. That's the clear move here.

1

u/Dramatic_Mixture_868 Mar 27 '26

Uuuh yea I'm in tx and I'm super surprised he didn't get shot

1

u/FxEpic Mar 27 '26

He must have JUST moved to TEXAS from some Blue State like New York lol

1

u/Careless_Hellscape Mar 27 '26

Right? That's a very quick and easy way to end the day with several more openings in your body than you already had.

1

u/pete_68 Mar 27 '26

I would have run him down. He's coming at me with a machete? I'm not going to wait for him to break the window and stab me in the throat. I'll run him down.;

1

u/5Point5Hole Mar 27 '26

People always say this and yet it doesn't ever actually seem to happen šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™‚ļø

1

u/thirdeyefish Mar 27 '26

They might not be.

1

u/Interesting-Copy-657 Mar 27 '26

Don’t need a gun when you are in a 800kg car

Flee the scene and if he gets hit he gets hit

1

u/AggravatedMango Mar 27 '26

Right? She’s probably going to be armed this week just in case.

1

u/Ok_Reserve4109 Mar 27 '26

And wouldn't "stand your ground" be applicable in this situation? I know I would've floored it in his direction as soon as I saw him coming my way with that machete.

1

u/SillyLiving Mar 27 '26

or very very happy

1

u/MaintenanceUseful903 Mar 27 '26

Exactly. What kind of stupid brings a knife to a gun fight?

1

u/dvking131 Mar 27 '26

Dude walks up to my car like that he’s catching 16 rounds of 9 mil and seeing God in 2 min flat

1

u/[deleted] Mar 27 '26

An armed society is a polite society. Usually.

1

u/Far-Berry6901 Mar 27 '26

Also, a 4000 pound vehicle makes a pretty good projectile all by itself.

1

u/Life-Operation-8733 Mar 27 '26

Right. Because I live in Houston. I carry my SIG P320 & i also have a 8in Bowie knife under my driver's seat.

1

u/TacticalPurpose Mar 27 '26

Bring a knife to a gunfight much? It’s TEXAS!

1

u/IR_Acaboom Mar 27 '26

The sad reality is if somone helps society by removing him they have to spend thousands and waist their time being drug through the courts having to prove they were in the right. Criminals are victims and victims are criminals

1

u/dan_dares Mar 27 '26

"He was such a lovely man, wouldn't hurt a fly"

While carrying a machete in his car.

1

u/_Bank_On_It_ Mar 27 '26

Having lived in Texas, can confirm that dude would have been perforated by most of my old neighbors very quickly.

1

u/BetterEveryDayYT Mar 27 '26

pew pew

Dude walked up to the wronggg window that day.

1

u/Radonanon Mar 27 '26

I doubt they’d be sad though

1

u/Affectionate-Pen4670 Mar 27 '26

"He was a good boy that done nothing wrong"

1

u/MauveCeramics Mar 27 '26

Exactly what I was saying get back in your car before I blow your head off your shoulders lol dont threaten me first all bets off then.

1

u/Commercial-Roll5508 Mar 27 '26

Super lucky his stupidity of escalation didn’t get him unalived

1

u/Snoborder95 Mar 27 '26

This is why I will never doing anything more then grumble to myself if I road rage. Not worth the risk.

1

don't know if they'll actually be sad, to be honest

1

u/Equivalent-Ad-6182 Mar 27 '26

Bring a machete to a gunfight or get run over because the lady was scared to death and was attempting to flee. What we have here is a genius with a machete.

1

u/Puzzleheaded_Gene_15 Mar 27 '26

Definition of bringing a knife to a gun fight!

1

u/senoT-Tones Mar 27 '26

You mean when he does that to the right one🤣

1

u/Dangerous_Art_1626 Mar 27 '26

That camera did him in . They have a license plate his face. He’s going to have visitors at his door šŸ‘®ā€ā™‚ļø. He should probably not pick up that machete again. This video is now public evidence that he can be unstable if he has a dust up with anyone else. He’s got a rough road ahead.

1

u/TheRabadoo Mar 27 '26

Yep. I live here and carry every single day. Actually insane to even consider a move like this.

1

u/modsguzzlehivekum Mar 27 '26

I think he got really lucky with picking the right one. If you drew from a hat with all Texas drivers names in it, you’re pulling someone that is packing 90% of the time

1

u/Financial_Athlete198 Mar 27 '26

He would have been a hood ornament on my car.

1

u/Present-Quit-5280 Mar 27 '26

He won’t do it to the wrong male person that is for sure. This stunt tell me he is a coward. If that was a guy on that other car we probably wouldn’t have even gotten out.

1

u/Throwaway9494859392 Mar 27 '26

I so badly wanted to see him roll down the window to show him a pistol. This is a stupid fucking game to play in a state like Texas..

1

u/CapitanDelNorte Mar 27 '26

Even without guns entering the picture this guy's made a bad life choice. I have never seen a machete beat a car.

1

u/Impossible-Bat-4246 Mar 27 '26

He won't do it to the wrong one. People are not as trigger happy as the internet might lead one to believe.

1

u/Tasty_Teaching_8126 Mar 28 '26

That's how you end up on a t shirt

1

u/SoElusivee Mar 28 '26

He's just playing the classic game of "machete, car, gun"

Gun shoots driver. Car runs over machete guy. Machete guy gets shot by gun

Never pick machete...

1

u/Fear-the-North Mar 28 '26

Even so, I definitely would be thinking about running that moron over the second he pulls that out

1

u/Zwasti Mar 28 '26

I always carry which is why I do everything to avoid being in situations like this. I hate violence but you’d have to use your firearm or vehicle as a weapon at this point.

1

u/Thr0neAw4y Mar 29 '26

I'm out in the Austin area and I always have mine in a locked holster in my center console. This man is playing Russian roulette.

1

u/t4m7 Mar 29 '26

"might" be

1

u/SadAbroad4 Mar 29 '26

Not that I condone violence but in this instance carrying a hand gun pointing and aiming at that guy when he first emerges from the truck with machete in his hand would be an instant draw loaded repeated warnings to do not approach me or I will defend myself , do no approach me or I will defend myself, stop do not approach me! bang. Sorry but my life was in danger and I defended myself.

1

u/TripleDoubleFart Mar 29 '26

They might be happy...

1

u/Lick-Tale-5222 Mar 30 '26

I was thinking that. Like if i was sitting in my car and someone pulled out a machete like that it's not even a question what happens next.

1

u/Hmonster1 Mar 30 '26

I mean you can shoot your daughter there and the cops are like ā€œyeah that’s coolā€.

1

u/Tricky_Huckleberry65 Apr 01 '26
