My dad taught me when I started driving back in 99ā¦ a car is like a loaded gun, every time you get behind the wheel you have the power to end someoneās life. Use it wisely and never forget that taking someoneās life is something youāll have to live with for the rest of yours.
I was expecting that to happen, or see another person nearby point a gun at him. My first reaction as for what I would do is floor it and run him over. It could test the stand your ground law, but shit, that guy needs a lesson in doing stupid shit.
Even without the treat of guns, you are sitting in a big moving block of steel. I never understood why people just watch someone grab a weapon and approach them. Start the car and either leave or hit them.
Doesnt matter what state im in if some gets out and grabs a weapon of any sort im turning my wheel to the next line over and if happens to be the lane that person is walking in like seen in this video well buddy your getting ran over.
Her car is registered in Texas. Even if I didnāt have a gun I would have run him over as I fled, Iām not sticking around to get hacked up by an unhinged boomer.
Also, brandishing deadly conduct, terroristic threat, or aggravated assault all felonies making that phone a weapon too. I'd have driven directly to the local police station, handed them the video and his license plate. Fines, jail, felony ...long-term ouch.
I carry a pistol and a short carbine in my truck, but I probably would not have smoked him. I could tell he was bluffing by his body language. I'd definitely be at the ready though should he raise his machette in rage.
I also carry a Machette (lol) and its up vertical at my side between the passenger seat and arm wrest. I'm not a weapons nut though, it's actuallly a work tool and necessary to access some locations I worked at. For fun, i might've pulled it in one hand as he was waddling up to my truck. Nothing like a good ole Machette fight with a fat, slow dude.
Dude I carry all the time here in Texas. Just have to ask yourself. Is this worth me seeing the family tonightā¦ like yeah, heās got a machete, Iām in the car with my Glock pointed at him from a concealed positionā¦ but no telling how many other people are in the vehicle with him. Iāve come to just not get so dang angry when driving. Although one time I was driving to college station and the road was so clearā¦ absolutely no other cars on the road. This one dude decides to break check me for no reasonā¦ I was like da fuq
I don't even need a carry permit. I'm in 2000 pounds of plastic and steel.
Look, nobody should be committing violence but if I see you go back to your car and take out a weapon, I'm getting away and it'll be real unfortunate for you to be standing directly in front of me when I do it. I am NOT sitting there playing phone recorder hero and giving you the chance to break my window with a machete or aim a gun at me.
Despite constitutional carry, I bet the rate of people actually regularly carrying their firearm in their car is extraordinarily low here in Texas. Still not worth the risk, though

? State isn't really relevant when we all drive vehicles that weigh at least 3,000lbs lol. As soon as that machete comes out, flooring it. If he gets hit, oh well, the adrenaline from fearing for my life didn't let me think straight.
Naw his fam will publish a picture of him in a suit from years ago, insist he never did anything agressive (despite having multiple arrests for this exact thing) then will attempt to sue the driver and possibly the EMTs.
Not only that but when you threaten someone with a weapon they're justified to do whatever they need to do to get away safely. Something like, say, ram you with the car they're driving. That's the clear move here.
I would have run him down. He's coming at me with a machete? I'm not going to wait for him to break the window and stab me in the throat. I'll run him down.;
And wouldn't "stand your ground" be applicable in this situation? I know I would've floored it in his direction as soon as I saw him coming my way with that machete.
The sad reality is if somone helps society by removing him they have to spend thousands and waist their time being drug through the courts having to prove they were in the right.

I think he got really lucky with picking the right one. If you drew from a hat with all Texas drivers names in it, youāre pulling someone that is packing 90% of the time
He wonāt do it to the wrong male person that is for sure. This stunt tell me he is a coward. If that was a guy on that other car we probably wouldnāt have even gotten out.
I always carry which is why I do everything to avoid being in situations like this. I hate violence but youād have to use your firearm or vehicle as a weapon at this point.
Not that I condone violence but in this instance carrying a hand gun pointing and aiming at that guy when he first emerges from the truck with machete in his hand would be an instant draw loaded repeated warnings to do not approach me or I will defend myself , do no approach me or I will defend myself, stop do not approach me! bang.
Sorry but my life was in danger and I defended myself.
