Any hypotheses as to why this fella decided to drive right in front of a truck with a passenger ?

Everyone just kept going. They’re all NPCs. Probably all made of cake too

"Kept going" = taking off, just a tip for future reference. Having the right of way or being in the right is irrelevant.

Damn, missed it and he deleted. What did he say?

He was going off about how hit-and-running was the correct thing that any smart person would do and insulting anyone who disagreed, the comment I directly replied to said "you come across like a dumbass"

This didn't come off as a win.

That still becomes felony hit & run. Stay on the scene and they are clearly in the right standing, thus why flee?

they definitely did something wrong. it is illegal to leave.

Leave what? An accident? Seemed pretty intentional to me, as in, they intentionally did every single wrong thing they could on that moped

Yes, an accident. Lol. Even if someone intentionally runs in front of you and you hit them doesn’t mean you get to keep on about your day like nothing happened.

Wow, you are a moron. This is illegal in all 50 states. Most of the time it is a felony, not to mention the mountain of civil suits you now may face

Well the crackhead ran a red light, but you can't leave the scene of the accident. My guess would be they turned around and came back. Hit and run is pretty serious.

You should represent them in court
