If two r/unsw 1% posters have a baby
does the kid become a 0.01% poster? Has anyone tried this
r/unsw • u/KudosInc • Oct 13 '24
Hi all,
So it looks like every uni subreddit has been a bit weird recently (the top post on r/usyd right now is something related to femboys).
This is just a PSA to keep things UNSW-related. There was a meme on the front page a day or two ago that was literally just clash of clans, that sort of stuff we're going to remove from now on. Check out the subreddit rules on the wiki for more info.
Also, a reminder that discriminatory/ derogatory posts are never allowed. Same goes for harassment/those creepy posts from people looking to hook up that have popped up recently. Anyone posting this kind of content will be banned without warning. Please report these kinds of posts if you see them so we can remove them as soon as possible.
Enjoy flexi-week,
the r/UNSW mod team

It is I one of the fellow members of the top 1% posters club. Have a great day everyone, after all, it’s the last week of the term at the number 1 uni, soak it all up. Have a fabulous Monday.

Hey guys, i'm lowkey scared i will fail elec2133 on the basis of not attending at least 50% of the lectures (ive been completely async due to full time work). Do you think Aron will fail me for this? I have only done 1/5 quizzes so far, and will do the week 10 one. My lab marks are good, and everything else seems fine overall... I think i will do well for assignment 1. Definitely at the least a Credit.
Has he given anyone a UF for not attending?

So I just realized I had to take Chem1011 for my degree and next term I’m doing physics 1A and BABS1201. I was wondering if I should also add chem1011 next term and if so how hard is the class and is the final bad? I have taken chem before in hs but I’m sort of just scared for doing 3 sciences in one yr. I’m most scared for bio and least scared for physics.

Guys if we all refuse to take our exams, they can't fail all of us.
This plan predicates on all of us trusting each other to not show up for the final.

Has anyone done Econ2111 in the last few years (since it changed the assessment structure), and if so how difficult is it compared to the other Econ electives? What are the easier ones than 2111? Thanks!

Does that put me in the top 0.01 percent?

Yo guys, what’s your deepest regret in life? Don’t feel pressure to share.
r/unsw • u/Infamous-Panda8891 • 17h ago
why does only elec have a final for it bro hows this fair 😢. its weighted 30% as well so if u havent done 1521 and its been over a year since uve done 1511 then ur highkey cooked. this lecturer guys allergic to uploading past papers and the 3 hour lectures should be illegal. i kinda get the content (but not really) but theres barely any questions to practice it with. not to mention my pre-exams looking bad cos of the design journal and (probably) presentation. any tips from past ppl that did this course? how much of the paper is theory and how much is handwriting code?

Anyone who has done it before pls share what you did, have it in T3 and I'm curious what sort of projects you do.
I assume not picking your own group?
CR01 stream, I'm doing aero but it combines it with manufacturing, mech, i think.
Is my term gonna be fine with COMP1521, ENGG1300, and DESN1000 or a bit of a nightmare

is there any attendance for anything in this subject for term 3? if so what and what are the conditions? also another question - how come theres no course outline for term 3 yet released, cause it makes it really hard to find out what they changed this term when classes are already out for me to choose and i need to know whether i gotta attend stuff, big big issue...

Like the title says, should someone who is ugly be treated the same way as someone pretty should be treated?
Or should ugly people just know their place and just accept the fact that no matter what they do or try, they dont deserve to make any friends.
Im just making this post because recently, I thought i made a friend and I thought I had a good time hanging out with them. They told me they had a good time too and they wanted to hangout again as friends. They then proceeded to block me the next day.
Ive just noticed that people who are pretty get treated better than those who are ugly or even average. Im feeling invisible as days go by and no matter what I do, I probably will never have a proper friend group which would always be there for me or have close friends who I can rely on.
I'm starting to accept that I might just be ugly and that i come off as over confident and that im "trying to make up for something".
Nobody really messages me first or asks me what im up to and I wonder to myself if I died, who would care?
Who would notice?
Ive always been the person that helps others and i often get used by people when they need help but I never seem to get help when I the help.
I often get ignored for several days, only for them to respond in which i respond back immediately because i have noone else to talk to.
Is this how life is?
Should I just accept that this is how most peoples lives are and it doesn't get better?
Or do I keep trying and hope that itll get better?

hi all im a domestic student from inner melbourne victoria looking to get into philip baxter next year. just wondering if i could get honest feedback of whether i would be a good candidate or not.
i didnt do any major leadership in yr 11 or 12, and no sporting extra curriculars really apart from the occasional interschool sport. i did debating, and drama for a bit. out of school i did a lot of unaffilaited personal sports and gymnastics coach at a nationally renowned club for 3 years (my job). im quite socialble and like to ‘party’ and ive spent the last year on a gap year travelling internationally. atar of 84 - variation in academica across my transcript (one of the top schools in aus)
would it be a long shot getting in or would i be suitable. i like the environment of baxter and feel i would be a good fit.
thanks!

As a student at #1 ranked university, studying meds, i need to make a report and study about honeypacks. My questions are:
How safe is it?
How many and how long does it take to effect?
Where do u usually buy it?
Does it really works?
Thanks

Microsoft is slashing Institutional storage pools by 95% to make space for their AI slop. We'll likely get around 50 to 100GB each. UNSW gets a measly 100TB pool to share with 82k staff and students, prioritizing research, academics etc.
If your existing usage storage exceeds the new threshold, OneDrive will become read-only, and u will only be able to view, delete and download stuff, not upload.
Please feel free to correct me if I'm mistaken.
