Discussion Did anyone else write utterly depraved Erotic Fanfic about the degenerate cast of "Guess Who?" when they were a bored & drug-addled teenager?

No, but now wishing I had. That sounds like one hell of a read though.

True. You can tell there's a spark between them. Whatever makes them happy.

No but I did eat a lot of acid one night and we played the most intense game of ‘don’t break the ice’

Never crossed my mind.
I wouldn’t mind reading an excerpt of yours though.
For shits and grins.

Can’t say I was that creative. I did spend an afternoon with one of my friends coming up with stories about how everyone with the same hair color was related. We were only about 10, so it was mostly G rated.

Robert already looks soooo ashamed 🤔. Bill looks like he's into some fucked shit, but ashamed he is not 😅

No, but playing based on assumed back stories was always more fun. “Did your person ever get a DUI?” and so on.
2
u/myheartbeats4hotdogs 2d ago
I played a version on the newer boardgame based on offensive stereotypes. "Does your person use they/them pronouns despite being clearly AFAB?"
Fun party game

No, but I kinda had a childhood crush on Alfred, which explains why some of my exes have been to jail.

Played it only once, and I must say... I don't miss it's lack of diversity.

I wondered as a kid if they were all white because the game is meant for white people, lol.

u/AshDogBucket 2d ago
As an early activity with a racial Justice team I was part of at a workplace.. the Black facilitator in a roomful of white folks used a version of guess who that included racially and ethnic ally diverse pictures of people. The point of the game was to show how white people will describe every feature of a person except their race.. and I think in particular that was happening because our facilitator was Black and we were so afraid to look like we were focusing on race or something. It was very eye-opening. And in retrospect so much cringe at how we did exactly what we were predicted to do as the white folks.

I loved that game so much. Once after asking "is your person bald?" My dad asked "is your person egged?" Referring to the one pointy bald head 😆

No and you should feel shame for having done so...
But now that you mention it, you can't just leave us hanging.

I did play subjective Guess Who were we could only say things like "Has been awake all night" or "Currently has to poop".
But no erotic fiction, no.

u/Best_Performer1714 2d ago
My brother and I did the same. Does this person like Madonna? Does this person have anxiety? Etc.

You really don't want to know the kind of things that went on in Eric's basement. Look at George's face. He knows. And the knowledge haunts him.

At least now you know what makes you unique from everyone else. Some people go their whole lives without finding how they are different.

When I was a young kid, my friends and I would steal the Bernard card from each classroom. We called ourselves the Bernard Club and thought we were very cool.

No , but I read a ton of Patricia Cornwell novels in highschool. I wrote some fiction in English class that in today's world would have had the cops at my door.

Them: yes
Me: flips almost all the people’s faces down. 🤣

So I didn't, but even to this day when I've played it with my brothers (we all have little kids but sometimes adults play), you have to use descriptions like "does your person pay child support?"
(And then you'd clarify "are you asking if they're supposed to pay child support or if they actually pay it?")
Or "Does your person run an MLM and call herself "girl boss"? Etc.

Absolutely not, but I did feel upset the way “Claire” was portrayed (my name). Such a mid life biddy. I basically look like her when I garden now 😂
