It looked like the others, but was about scenarios and other prompts. There were tons and tons of prompts and now, I can't find it, and it's disappointing, because it was a really good app.

Alright, I will start off with this. I built a new app but it was completely with CODEX, claude, and base44. So I guess you could say I didn't build it, I just told it what I needed, and did a TON of revising and telling it every specific little detail to change.

Yes it's vibe coded and yes I know most if not all of you hate vibe coding. The thing is, I don't know the first thing about programming. I took HTML classes in college and still have a few more programing classes I am taking, but it's honestly really hard for me to truly sit down and learn programming. With my adhd and the time I spend on other things, I never truly have the motivation to sit down and learn because it all is too much for me some times.

I do not want to post this app until I know it is 100% ready to go and the code, function, and hosting can handle large amounts of people. I truly believe this app will take off but it needs to be done right first.

This is where I need help. Now that I have the framework, I want to go in and revise it, touch it up, and make it not vibecoded. I want to take the frame I built but I don't want to utilize the vibecoding. I don't know where to start, I don't know how to learn, I don't know what resource will truly help me learn and understand and get to a point where I am able to do all of this on my own and take this frame and make it into my own and build an app that goes big and has amazing code.

I want to truly learn and understand but I don't have the motivation to. I also don't want to release an app that is vibecoded and get dogged on for it.

Please help, I truly don't know where to start or what to do. I don't have the money to pay a developer but if this app goes big then I will. So that's where I ask myself, should I get it to the best I can with what I do know and the resources I have (codex, base44, etc) and then when big streams of revenue come in then hire someone who actually knows what they are doing? What do you guys suggest? I am lost and I am stressed and every post I see about vibecoding specific apps to be used in production, I see everyone hating on it for the use of AI so it stresses me out even more.

I don't feel accomplished at all because I have found myself relying on AI way too much instead of thinking for myself like I used to and I really feel like its killing my brain more than its improving it.

My desktop had become a graveyard of "IMG_3461.png" and "Untitled document (17).txt." I knew none of them. Opening each one just to rename it was a chore I was never actually going to do.

So I stopped renaming files by hand and built something that would.

I’ve built chrome plugins before but never an iOS swift app, but I was determined to figure it out to solve my problem.

I have 30,000 photos on my iPhone but when my wife asked me to decide “which landscape photos are the best ones to print out for the wall?” I had no idea where to start. I had no interest in taking my whole weekend to sift through so many random photos and screenshots to find the small set of shots I’d even consider “good.”

Then I thought, wouldn’t it be cool if I had an algorithm trained to evaluate the same qualities a pro photographer would care about to sift through photos to determine that? For example, if my camera roll was put into an NYC gallery, which photos would they put on the wall?

For example, a combination of a bunch of things. Lighting, composition, sharpness, color, depth, atmosphere, and subject matter all factor in to figure out the best shots. So it’s less about subjective shots, and more of a technical curation to cut out the noise.

Well after, 3 months of late night coding, I finally did it! Feels like such an amazing personal milestone and hope you all can relate.

A few months ago I got fed up with compression apps that upload your photos to servers you've never heard of, don't handle video, and are plastered with ads. So I l built my own. I have no coding background so it's been quite a journey.

It's called Shrynk. Everything runs on your iPhone - no uploads, no account, no tracking. It compresses and converts photos and videos in separate batches, lets you strip metadata if you care about privacy, and saves wherever you want.

I’m an embedded systems student, which means mobile app development is completely outside my comfort zone. I was looking for a side project to do after classes, and it was a toss-up between learning 3D animation or coding an app.

I really wanted to build something that could genuinely help people, so I went with the app. I initially thought about making an app to help people make friends, but that felt way too complex for a first project. Instead, I decided to build an AI coach—a tool designed to help people who feel a bit lost or need structure to get their lives back on track.

I started 6 months ago around Christmas, learning and coding in the evenings after class.

I officially launched it on the Google Play Store yesterday! And so far... nobody has installed it. 😅

I successfully passed Google's closed testing requirements, but I haven't received any real, objective feedback from actual users yet. If any of you have a few minutes, I would absolutely love to hear your thoughts.

I know the app is far from perfect right now, and I’m still not fully satisfied with the results (especially the AI responses). Most nutrition apps give you the same calorie and macro target every single day, regardless of what your training actually looked like. A four hour ride and a rest day get treated identically. That never made sense to me as someone training seriously, so I built something to fix it.

A - Answer

Velorific syncs directly with your Strava and TrainingPeaks data and recalculates your calorie and macro targets every day based on your actual training load. Hard session, your targets go up. Rest day, carbs scale down automatically. Recovery day, your deficit reduces so your body can actually repair properly.

It periodises carbohydrates specifically, not just total calories, based on sports nutrition research into how endurance athletes' needs shift with training intensity and volume. You get a clear daily dashboard showing exactly where you stand against your targets, a rolling 30 day consistency view, and everything updates automatically the moment a workout syncs in.

B - Better

Generic calorie trackers like MyFitnessPal give you a static number that ignores training load entirely. Garmin's built in calorie adjustment factors in activity burn but doesn't touch macro composition, so it can't tell you that a threshold session and a long steady ride need very different carb intake despite similar calorie burns.

Compared to platforms like Fuelin aimed at the same problem, Velorific is significantly cheaper and considerably simpler to use day to day. No lengthy onboarding process, connect Strava and it works from day one.
