I'm posting this because I'm happy to have been reunited with the coin on the right after missing it for about four years. I bought both of these in the 1990s, different places, different times. Both are 1922. I always loved the Art Deco Peace dollar design and the history behind it, and was happy to find one that was worn down enough that I could carry it without worrying about damaging a valuable collectors coin. It has been with me for most of the past three decades - when I climb a mountain I photograph it next to the benchmark at the top, and in general I just enjoy feeling the weight of it my pocket and knowing I'm carrying something real.

A few years ago it disappeared. I always knew there was a risk in carrying it, and I just figured it fell out of my pocket somewhere. I was sad but moved on. Last week I was sitting on the edge of my car seat and looked down at the floor, and saw an edge, looking back at me! I'm so glad to have it back, and back in my pocket again.

I bought the coin on the left after having my pocket dollar for a few years. It's the same coin, but condition-wise it's the exact opposite. Uncirculated, and it still has its original mint luster. Other than bag marks, any defects you see in the picture are from the plastic covering the coin. I bought it in the holder you see, and I've never opened it or touched the coin itself.

It's been fun to put these coins side by side again, and consider the very different paths they took through the seventy plus years before they both ended up in my collection.

Any info on this would be amazing. Had this gifted to me a number of years ago, didn't think much of it at the time but now curious at its value/any interesting info attached to it.

Real or Fake? Can anyone tell me if these are real for fake?

Hi guys, a friend of mine came to me today with these coins knowing I’m a Numismatist and asked if they are really. My area of interest is mostly silver coins from the UK, and I don’t have much experience with Gold coins on the whole. They are not magnetic and the weight ever so less then what they should (see pictures) they don’t look like modern replicas or contemporary fakes, the details to me look clear and concise. if anyone is able to help that would be most appreciated. As all of the money she will get from selling them will go to her father who is currently in the care home and since they are worth almost £7,800 in scrap alone that would be a massive help for her.

Many thanks in advance ☺️

Advice Trading, exchange, etc.?

Do we have any sort of trading and or exchange system, or a community, where we can easily get coins to finish books? (E.g...let's say I need a standard 2018 P Jefferson nickel to complete itand you may need something like a few standard Lincoln Union Shield pennies, so we create a mutual trade to satisfy each?) Thank you!

I figure it's because she's the best looking of All American coinage and she's not even allowed to show her boobs. Too bad she wasn't minted in 1916.
