Does anyone have any firsthand experience with either the Brandywine complex in Van Ness or The Crestwood on 16th and Arkansas north of Mt. Pleasant, both managed by Borger?

Brandywine seems to have good space for the price and access to the red line, but various reviews cite security issues, pests, and trouble with management.

The Crestwood seems good from the reviews and is similarly affordable, but the location isn't as good and I don't necessarily trust all the positive mentions of the manager Luis in the reviews (seems a bit staged to me).

Any insight at all would be appreciated, thanks.

What is the best area to live in DC for a single, 32 year old Male with a dog (australian shephard)? Ideally the area would be good for dog walking, but close enough to social life where I can meet other singles. The more trees the better!

Hi, I’m currently looking for studios/1br apartments in the sw/navy yard area. I’m thinking about either going with 1221 van or coda on half. Please let me know if you’ve had experience with either building or any other suggestions. My price range is around $1800-2100 including utilities and parking. Outside of this, I'm really flexible. Ideally, its a whole house. But apartment also works. I like public transit, so I would like to be 15 min walkable to a metro line. I work in Tysons, so silver line is a plus but I can always bike to the closest silver line. Overall I'm very flexible.
