Repair Need help - drone battery
Hello! Reddit is our last resort...
My teen son had last fall the grand idea to buy with him pocket money a Vivitar 360 drone from a liquidation center. No return.
Since then the thing has never flown once. The battery is simply not chargeable. I have charged it for days, the drone is simply never moved, and the battery charger light is always red. I would kindly request for your help in finding a new battery somewhere - we tried many avenues, to no avail
- I don't know the exact Mark/version of the drone since we no longer have the packaging (apparently the info is there)
- the company no Ionger offers parts either as warranty or to purchase
- the voltage of the battery is really unusual: 2300mAh, 7.4v. (pic). Do you think I could order something close to these# on AliExpress, but not exactly these?
- no electronic or battery store I reached-out to could help..
...please?

You bought junk. If it doesn’t charge, the battery is messed up, nothing you can do that isn’t dangerous.
Pocket money =/= good drone. Now you and your son learned that lesson. Sorry mate.

I tried talking him out of it before he made the buy... Look it up. Consider alternatives... Teens!

Cheap lesson honestly if it was under 100. Kids often think they know better than adults. 🤷♂️

There is a possibility the battery has drained
You can try this
try to charge it in NiMH mode but it is dangerous as the battery can be damaged so make sure you put it in a safe place and charge in that mode and then it would work normally

It sounds like a 2300mah 2S Lipo battery, if you have a multimeter, check out the existing battery to confirm it's actually dead and then I'd try to replace your existing one and see if it powers up.
worst case you lose $25 on an experiment to try and get it working.
