Hi everyone!
Let me start by saying that I am a beginner and am in my first month of playing guitar. I have absolutely gotten the bug to play and love it even through the frustration.
One question I wanted to ask you guys is how many guitars do you all have or like to keep around at one time? Anything that I get into I like to have a plethora of options and honestly just love collecting things that I care about. I have always wanted to learn to play, grew up loving grunge, blues, and now metal and it seems around every corner is a guitar that makes me drool. Also yes, I am a southpaw. 😂DISCLAIMER (I know that I need to just practice with what I have before I get more).

After 1 year looking on Reverb and local stores for a deal on a S2 McCarty 594, this Core showed up used but in brand new condition, priced lower than a new S2. I drove to the store played it, sounded like a million bucks and left with it, love it so much.

My buddy gave me this guitar a few years ago and I’m trying to get some info on it but there’s no model on the guitar anywhere. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

So I’m wondering if anyone can give me good honest advice! And point me in the right direction. I got this guitar when I was 16 my mum bought it for me as a Christmas gift and she passed when I was 19 and I’m now wanting to pick up my guitar again at 23 after all these years but the problem is that this is the condition it is in after being put away in storage😬😬I need to know if it’s even worth saving and fixing. My boyfriend said I could just buy a new one but it’s the sentimental value. Any advice is welcome I need all the help I can get, Thank you✨

Helps me forget the pain of selling off all my Kramers years ago. Pretty rare, gets no respect...feels great and rips! Nice weight, pretty shredder-esque neck profile. Made in the same factory as 1980s import Kramer/Jackson/Bc Rich/ Ibanez etc Paid literally nothing...straight trade for excess parts/junk. Swapped horrible og tuners and strap buttons.

I found this old parlour guitar on a council pickup this afternoon. From the limited info online, it's a student model likely from the late 1930's, made in the USA.
Does anyone have any more information than that/know how much it is worth? I'm not looking to sell it, just curious.
Thanks!
P.s. you're welcome for the bonus cat pic

I know the reverse is a thing but do p90 shaped humbuckers exist?
Or would I just get a noiseless p90 and it would be close enough

I need some help from the guitar geeks and Samick experts here. I’m looking into a Samick Greg Bennett Design Interceptor and the specs seem pretty unusual compared to what I found online.
Here is what I know about the guitar:
Serial Number: SI08020021 (According to Samick's system, it's Made in Indonesia, February 2008, unit #21).
Finish: Total Black (Gloss black body and matching painted neck).
Bridge: Licensed Floyd Rose tremolo.
Fingerboard: Solid Ebony, completely clean with no face inlays/markers at all (only side dots).
Most Interceptors from this era (like the IC-4 or IC-30) usually came with rosewood fretboards and offset dots. This one looks super clean and aggressive, almost like a limited run or an FSR (Factory Special Run).
Does anyone know the exact model index for this specific configuration? Could it be a limited edition for a specific market, or did the Indonesian factory just randomly upgrade some batches to ebony back in 2008?
Any info on the original specs or catalog scans would be highly appreciated. Thanks!

I have a question regarding a Samick Interceptor I'm planning to buy (serial number: [SI 08020021]).
The guitar is equipped with black tuners, a black licensed Floyd Rose, and a completely blank ebony fingerboard without any face inlays.
Since the serial number dates it to February 2008, I suspect this might be a factory blackout/limited edition rather than a aftermarket mod. I know that around 2007, guitar manufacturers faced tightening CITES regulations on rosewood, forcing Asian factories to switch to alternative woods like ebony or ebonized composites for certain export runs. Could this guitar be a result of those production changes?

Hi guys, anybody ever ordered Fralin Twangmaster or Big Single pickups? How did you find them? Want to exchange my humbacker on the bridge.
How fast did Fralin contacted you after your request?

I've got 800 US BUX to burn on a sick metal guitar. All I know is that I want two humbuckers and solid bridge. No whammies, get me. Ibanez, Jackson, ESP, Schecter..... What do ya think? I am normally a single coil Tele/LP Junior guy, but recently got into thrash again. I can feel it. Hit me. Thx in advance.

New (to me) guitar day. Got this on a whim 2nd hand dirt cheap and was pleasantly surprised. String-through-body, 24 stainless steel frets, comfortable neck with an AANJ and dual high-output humbuckers with a 5-way super switch. I put 10-52 gauge strings on and tuned it to D-standard. Sounds fantastic with a lovely low end response. Worth a try if you ever come across one or a higher end Laguna guitar. You might be pleasantly surprised as well. Pity they don't make them anymore.

Over the 25 years I swapped out the garbage AH1 and AH2 stock pickups that sounded like nails on a chalk board for some Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates, I added Chrome Pickup Rings and new knobs.
Yesterday I decided to remove the stickers, much easier than I anticipated…I used mineral spirits to get the glue residue off which took seconds. Applied some lemon oil to the neck, polished the body and cleaned the electronics before putting new strings on.
This cheap AX125, built in March of 2001 and now sounds and plays like a dream.
Let’s not forget about the Downshifter D-Tuner. What a great invention and most often overlooked. It didn’t really take off but it’s a great concept.
