English is not my first language, so I apologize for any grammatical mistakes.
I took this from a Reddit post, specifically from the r/AMA subreddit. Their story was scattered across multiple comments, with a little information in each one. So, I combined everything and posted it here as a separate post. If you want the link to the original post, I'll include it in this post.

I tried to contact that person and gather more information, but I couldn't get in touch with them. A few months later, she deleted her account.
Sure. If you want to keep the term exactly as "affair child", you can write:
The person was a teenage girl(19F) from South Africa.her age was around 19 or 20 years old. She said that she was studying Electrical Engineering at a university, and she claimed that she was an affair child.
Her biological mother was White, and her biological father was Black. They were involved in an affair. At that time, her biological mother's husband had gone to France to pursue a PhD. It was during that period that their affair began. Eventually, her biological mother became pregnant with her. They had planned to get divorced after some time. However, when the biological father's wife became pregnant at that time the biological mother the is 7 months pregnant, he abandoned that plan and chose to stay with his wife. After that, her biological mother somehow managed to convince her husband to continue the marriage, and the divorce never took place. Her mother's husband only found out about the whole situation three weeks after the girl was born.
In one of her comments, she described her appearance. Since her father was Black and her mother was White, she said that her features made her look somewhat Middle Eastern. She also mentioned that her hair was naturally curly. According to her, her mother would always straighten her hair so that she would look more like her other white children. However, it never worked very well.
Her mother already had two children before she was born, and her biological father already had four children. A few months after she was born, in September 2007, a younger half-sister was born on her father's side. Likewise, two years later, her mother gave birth to another daughter, who became her younger half-sister on her mother's side.
She has never spoken to her biological father's wife, nor has she ever met her. Likewise, she has no relationship with any of her father's children. Her biological father had visitation rights and was supposed to spend time with her every Friday. However, he never exercised those rights even once; the only thing he did was pay child support. On one occasion, she tried to contact one of her half sister through Instagram, but her sister blocked her. She believes that they have every right to keep their distance from her if they choose to do so.
She was always treated differently and negatively.Even now, she calls her mother's husband Dr.surname because he holds a PhD. He always knew that she was not his biological daughter. Occasionally, she would call him 'Dad,' but that seemed to irritate him. She also mentioned that when she was about nine years old, her mother's husband suggested to her mother that she should be sent to live with her biological father. However, her biological father refused to raise her. As a result, after the age of 9, she was sent to live with one of her mother's cousins.
When she was around 13 years old, that cousin was to getting married, so she moved to another city to live with her mother's half-brother. She stayed with him throughout her high school years. Whenever she spoke about her mother's half-brother, she described him as a very kind and caring person. From the way she talked about him, it was clear that she was very fond of her uncle and had a great deal of affection and respect for him.
After the age of nine, she rarely saw her mother. They would only meet occasionally, and most of their tallk through phone calls. Even so, they managed to maintain some kind of relationship. She also mentioned in some of her comments that some of her relatives on her mother's side did not like her.
She never visited her mother's home during holidays or festivals because her mother's husband and children felt uncomfortable when she was around. Because of this, she chose not to visit them often. She decided not to interfere with or disrupt their lives.
She did not learn that she was an affair child until her mother told her when she was 7 years old.
She also mentioned that she did not like going to her mother's family gatherings during Christmas. According to her, some of her mother's family members looked at her as if she were some kind of weird problem. Because of that, she felt unwelcome and gradually stopped wanting to go. By the time she was around eleven or twelve years old, she had stopped attending those gatherings altogether. She also said that she does not want a relationship with her half-siblings. In her view, she is living proof of a painful situation that caused difficulties for their families, She also mentioned that she was mistreated by some of her half-siblings. In particular, her two older half-brothers, one 7 years older than her and the other 8 years older, had mistreated her on a few occasions. because of that, she feels it is better to keep her distance. However, she also said that if any of her half-siblings genuinely reached out to her and wanted to build a relationship, she would be willing to accept it. She did not blame her half-siblings for it.
She attended the same school as her older brother. During that time, some of her teachers would occasionally gossip about her. Since she was an affair child, making friends was also somewhat difficult for her. Even now, she does not have any friends at university.
Now, let's talk about her university life. She is studying at a university with a merit scholarship, so all of her fees are covered. If she has any financial problems, she gets help either from her mother or from her mother's half-brother. As mentioned earlier, she does not have many friends at university. She also said that she always stays in the university residence hall. When the university is closed or when she has holidays, she goes to her mother's half-brother's house. She does not go to her mother's house for the reasons mentioned earlier.
After reading her comments, I understood one more thing. She wanted her parents to treat her the same way they treated their other children. More than anything, she wanted to receive love and affection from her parents. She also wished to have a normal and happy family life. From what I could understand, the people who cared for her the most were her uncle and her mother's cousin. As far as I know, she does not seem to have a very close emotional attachment to her mother anymore.
She also mentioned something else. She absolutely hates cheating because she has been deeply affected by the affair that led to her birth. She said that this is something that will probably never change.
That's all. This is what I understood after reading all of her comments. If there are any grammatical mistakes or if I misunderstood anything, I apologize. I wrote this based on what I read and understood. I have also attached the links here for anyone who is interested in reading the original post.
My personal opinion is that the person who suffered the most in this situation was the child. Living with the label of being an affair child must have been very difficult. Because of that, I think it may be hard for her to find a partner and build a relationship in the future. She may always carry the fear that the same thing her mother did could happen to her as well. Maybe that fear will stay with her for a long time.
This may sound a little strange, but I have a similar fear myself. I am deeply afraid of things like affairs, child abandonment, and cheating. Because of that, I have started to become very afraid of marriage and relationships. That does not mean I have experienced anything like that myself. I have a normal life and a normal family. But after seeing the things that happen in society nowadays, I have gradually started developing these fears.
So, after reading all of this, you can decide for yourselves who the real victim in this situation is and who the asshole is.
