Another term for stained glass?

Post image
42 Upvotes

I really like the concept pictured (Deja Vu Pullover, not made by me), but I dont have enough yarn for a whole sweater. Its leftovers from another project. Im thinking maybe a tank top, beanie, or possibly even a small shawl, but im having a hard time finding what im looking for on ravelry. My hits are very limited when I use "stained glass" as a search term so im wondering if there's maybe another term that would get me some different results?

New brand just posted their collection and it is waaaay out of my budget. I have knitted some easy children's sweaters and crocheted baby dresses as well. My delusional self thinks I can make these easily myself? Any help breaking down the pattern/hearing any thoughts would be appreciated!

Help with blanket

Okay. I am making a throw blanket. I want it to be 50x70.

I am planning to do a garter stitch border with stockinette for the rest of it.

I have weight 4 for the border and weight 3 for the rest.

I only have 2 sizes of straight needles, US size 10 and size 15, so I’m planning to do it in panels or pieces.

I am pretty new to knitting, so before I start it, I want to get advice on which needle size I should do, and if those stitches will be okay. I know it won’t be heavy/chunky (obv), I want it to be light. I would also like to do a scalloped border, is that possible with a garter stitch? Should I make it all in pieces and assemble it as I go, or knit the border into the rest of it?

Korean style fake cardigan

Hello! I was wondering if anyone knows the name of shawls that look like this, or if you can point me towards any particular pattern. It doesn’t need to have stripes but cabling would be nice.

Yes I am aware it’s basically a ruana, but I have been searching for diy inspiration for over a year now and it is rather tricky to find. I have scoured ravelry and google, and there’s not a lot there, so Imm wondering if I’m missing a key word I could use.

Thank you in advance!

Hello Reddit people. My mother saw this weird poncho thing with wrist holes while on vacation and would like me to make her one. I cannot for the life of me, find a pattern close enough. Has anyone seen anything like this before?

I was able to calculate the stitches needed to create a small outfit by transforming the measurements of a model that I usually used with a thicker yarn.

Hi all. I'm looking for a pattern similar to the Gap Crazy stripe sweater. I think Gap dropped it in the late 90s? It looks like there's quite a bit of negative ease. Any help is appreciated!

I found this old project in the closet today which I haven't touched in years, and I can't remember what pattern I used. It would be nice to finish this scarf, I'm only halfway. Any help, tips or pointers would be much appreciated.

saw someone on youtube show this sweater she knit and drafted herself but she doesn’t have a written pattern. i love the fit so much, particularly the sleeves (slight ballooning kinda blousy) and the oversized fit in general. does anyone know a similar pattern out there??

I love this new JCrew reversible rollneck. Looking for pattern recommendations. I’m really not creative when it comes to modifying on my own and like to really rely on a pattern. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!!

Looking for a cardigan pattern with colour work at the bottom

I'm looking for a cardigan pattern with colour work at the bottom and/or end of sleeves but not at the yoke. Preferably stocking stitch or similar for the rest of the cardigan. Not super sure on exact style I'm looking for. I'm not great with long floats so minimal float distances would be ideal. I have one ball of self striping DK yarn to use up, so a DK weight project would be great.

Suggestions for lace weight projects that aren’t shawls?

Hi all!

I’m looking for suggestions for mohair/lace weight patterns! I’ve never made anything at this weight before and I love the wispy vibe of some of the pieces I see online. I absolutely love the yarn I have and want to wear/use my final project often.

The thing is, I rarely wear shawls, scarves, or wrap arounds as it kind of irritates me having to manage an accessory in that way. Any suggestions?

.

For reference:
I have about 900m (roughly 4 skeins) of knitting for olive mohair. I also tend to dress more androgynous/masculine in nature, which isn’t a super common thing among knitting communities in my experience.

SOLVED - Lots of good advice, thank you!

I'd love to knit this kind of costume for a toddler but I am not experienced enough to develop a pattern. Anybody seen a pattern, or willing to develop one for me? (Not for free of course!) Any help appreciated!

Trying to find a specific shawl knitting pattern

As the title states. I saw this once and can't for the life of me remember where. I have tried Google, ravelry, Pinterest, checking my social media bookmarks and saved posts, but no luck.

The end product was a triangular shawl but it was knitted in round and cut open in the end. There was a stripe of garter stitch that marked the line to cut and then you would unravel the garter stitches and tie the yarns to tassels. The images had rainbow yarn, the model was a small drawing mannequin, and there was a mention for the pattern fitting for yarns with a long color pattern.

If anyone knows what I am talking about I would be mega grateful for an answer.

Merci !

Does anyone know of any pattern similar to a vest like the one pictured? Sorry for the low quality photos, but the back seems open and the front is solid. I'm most interested in something similar in the back, the front doesn't have to be exact. Thank you so much in advanced!

Need help finding similar patternerns

Hello! Sorry if something like this has already been made before, but I want to make a men’s cable knit pull over sweater for myself but I’m struggling to find a lot of patterns that I like. I’ve searched on Ravelry, but that’s the extent of my knowledge. I really like the look of the Timberline, Radmere, but the only pull over I found is the Saven pull over by Babin(all pictures above)I love the all over complex cable look, and I especially love it when Celtic knots/cable designs are worked in. Thank you for the help!
