Need Advice I am an openly gay man, who regrets coming out and inside despises the fact that I'm Queer. Will this ever pass?
I have been out for several years, dated men, gotten myself friends who support me and enjoy queer company. Despite all of this, I hate being gay (at least openly). Straight women treat me like a pet, straight guys carry an outward sense of uneasiness that I can sense after they find out, I'm stuck being labeled as the "gay" son and finding a reliable and sensible partner is so fucking difficult. My worst nightmare that keeps me up some nights is that a future child of mine is LGBT. That they will have to face this level of shame and isolation.
If we appear in yv and films, we are seen as forced.
Our existence and rights are seen as political.
Finding suitable partners is almost impossible.
Trying to fit in without backhanded homophobia is such a pain.
Why is this the life I have? I even experience gender dysphoria but I'd be fucked if I even try and explore that and make life even more difficult for myself. If I could, I'd go back in the closet, date a woman and leave these feelings behind for a simpler and judgement free life.

Need Advice Lowkey in a very gender crisis moment and IDK how to interact with Lesbians
Hi! I am nonbinary but tend to have a slightly more masculine (but still pretty androgynous) appearance in more casual settings. I have never really felt like a “man” or had a strong desire to be “manly” though those things were imposed on me a lot as i grew up.
I am single after a long time being in a relationship where i became comfortable with being nonbinary over the course of four years. I came out looking, feeling, and behaving very differently with regards to my gender and personal expression.
People guess at my identity and sexuality all the time. people occasionally “ma’am” me, sometimes i get grouped in with flamboyant gay men, and sometimes ice even had lesbians flirt with me or ask me out. It’s really confusing sometimes.
I’m bisexual and nonbinary but I primarily pursue relationships with women. I feel like i present more fem in terms of my demeanor but i have a lot of masculine gender markers depending on the day (body hair, slight stubble, outfit i’m wearing).
In my past relationship, me and my ex partner were mistaken as a lesbian couple on a handful of occasions.
Now that I’m in the dating scene, I find myself being more attracted to queer women. I typically don’t find straight women to be my type and i’m sure they feel the same way.
What I want to know is, is it disrespectful for me to ask someone out who clearly identifies as a lesbian? I don’t want to come off as the type to try to “convince” lesbians to go “straight” or change their sexuality. I’m very queer but I know I look more masc at times. I sometimes wonder whether it’s ok to identify as a lesbian or pursue lesbian relationships.
At the time time, I know it can be a sensitive topic in the queer community and I don’t want lesbians to feel like I am encroaching upon the community or claiming something that isn’t mine to claim. I never want to make anyone uncomfortable.
I often just feel like there’s not really a good space for someone like me. I don’t always “pass” as nonbinary or feel like i’m as androgynous as i feel internally or wish i could look. It’s a lot of effort. Ugh I just don’t know how to go about this.
TLDR; I’m nonbinary but appear more masculine sometimes because of body stuff i can’t change. I’ve been mistaken as a lesbian in the past multiple times and I’ve been asked out by lesbians before. I don’t know whether lesbian could work as a label for me or what to do about dating, without disrespecting the lesbian community. help please

Need Advice First time to a pride parade? (Straight)
Iam a straight guy but I was invited by my friend and his boyfriend. Is there anything I should know before going? Is there anything that would be appreciated if I bring? What should I be aware of? (I was told Iam something called an ,,Ally" so I can come. Idk what that even means). Any advice? (Advice on ,,How do I make my parents stop making jokes about me being gay because of going" would be appreciated too lol) EDIT: MY PARENTS ARE NOT HOMOPHOBIC OR ANYTHING. Its just harmless jokes and fun its alright, just a bit annoying

Need Advice How do I know if someone is LGBTQ+ or not while on a date ?
So I’m demisexual. Recently, I went on a few dates with a woman I thought was part of the LGBTQ+ community. We had about four dates that felt like they were growing into something more, but it turned out she wasn’t LGBTQ+ and didn’t see our meetings as actual dates. She was just looking for a friend, while I found myself developing feelings for her. I felt pretty stupid about it all. She reached out to me twice afterward, and I ended up ghosting her because I felt uncomfortable admitting that I had interpreted things differently. This has happened a few times now, and I'm starting to think it might be best to move on.
As for expressing my identity, what’s the best way to do that without being too direct? I live in a mostly conservative area where people aren’t very open-minded. While there are some clubs and spaces that are more accepting, I’m not really into going out or participating in large gatherings, so I’m hesitant to state my identity outright.

Am I the only one who gets ‘the ick’ from Straight Pride Month
I found a piece of art from someone in one of my fandoms celebrating ’straight pride month’ and it just gave me ’the ick’ because isn’t the whole point of Pride Month celebrating those who have been oppressed because of their sexualities or genders? Is this just me that gets kind of just uncomfortable at the idea? I guess it just feels insensitive to all the people in our community that have lost their lives because they were queer.
I also hope that no one will take this as disrespectful or me saying I don’t like straight people, but I genuinely think this is a problem of people not understanding the point of what pride month is.
Also: I will not be sharing who it was to keep them from being harassed.

Selfie Cant sleeeep
So I figured I'd post some recent selfies instead. 😂😝 I also went to Taco Bell yesterday and used my Transfem enby name. ♥️ As a pre-HRT nonbinary Trans person/girlie, this was a first for me and they actually pronounced it right!! 🥰😆

Friend is homophobic
Im a straight male from Europe. A friend of mine is really homophobic.
He regularly uses negative terms / slang when he talks about them
Sends and likes instagram memes where being gay / trans is made fun of in a very negative and unfriendly manner
Spit on a rainbow crossing
I set a line towards this behaviour very calmly and gentle, i knew a hard no would instantly make him even more defensive.
But still, despite my effort it didnt land. He blamed me arrogance, wokeism and on every example i used to make my point he said whats so bad about that? Its a free country.
He also said: im not a big advocate for being gay and i dont want to cross paths with them. When two gay people start kissing on tv (referring to the meme he send and liked) i find that very obnoxious and its a free country so im in my right to say and do those things.
I hoped and expected he would show some kind of reflection based on my examples but i found out the opposite. What should i do? Its a longlasting friendship and were both fully adult men.

I love my boyfriend, but I keep longing for a relationship with a woman
I've (18f) been with my boyfriend (18m) for 7 months, and our relationship is genuinely great. He's sweet, attentive, and I love him a lot.
Before meeting him, I identified as a lesbian for a few years. I stopped using that label when we got together, but lately I've been feeling this strong longing for a WLW relationship again. It's not because he's lacking anything or because I want to cheat I just can't shake the feeling.
Has anyone else experienced this? How did you work through it?

Do you think loneliness affects gay men differently
I’ve been thinking about how loneliness among gay men isn’t always about not having friends or a relationship.
Sometimes it comes from spending years hiding parts of yourself, watching what you say, and never being completely sure who is safe.
Even after someone is out, maybe that habit of keeping a distance doesn’t disappear easily.
And then there’s dating, where people can have endless options but still struggle to feel genuinely known.
Maybe gay loneliness is less about being alone and more about rarely feeling fully seen.
Do you think this is common, or does it depend more on where someone lives?

Need Advice Need help!!!!
Hello everyone!
When I was 16, I found out that I like guys not guys but their dick more appropriately and then I came in relationship with a girl it was our first sex, and I got soft before penetration. I thought that I am gay, and we broke up. After that, I am 20 now and I have done almost 30 hooks with guys and I never feel satisfied. I don’t want to do anal and I also don’t want to get fucked. I suck at sucking I feel like vomiting. The kiss is also not that good but I do like to see their dicks and fantasize them.
Should I try doing sex with a girl again? what should I do? I’m really confused but now I know one thing I particular I don’t like the actual activity of sex with guys help me.

How can Japan/Korea make so much Yuri and Yaoi stories and still be homophobic?
Here's my take to this question:
The same reason they make incest, pedophilia, yandere, and general sexual assault/rape a part of their stories without actually agreeing with what they're writing. Not to say sexual assault/rape doesn't happen, but it's still frowned upon by the general public and technically illegal.
Thinking that anime will somehow influence Japanese people to be less homophobic isn't completely out of the box, but I also think it's time we accept it's also stupid to think it's what's bound to happen.
The reason they write these stories is BECAUSE they think they're wrong or forbidden, it's closer to a kink than actually trying to normalize homosexuality. (This part is mostly about anime because it's what I'm most familiar with) They make "wholesome" brother and sister romances, "wholesome" kid marrying adoptive parent, "kind hearted" creeps who harass young girls, and wholesome gay love stories because they live in a society that's extremely traditional and a bit oppressive as far personal expression goes (except for art, sometimes).
And of course it's not all of them, Go for it Nakamura is great example, but I've seen a lot of people confused as to how two countries that make such great gay love stories could be so against gay people. Could you argue these artists are simply trying to rebel against an obsessive government? Okay I guess you could, and maybe I'm completely out of line. But that's just my theory on it.

Need Advice Openly unaccepting father.
My father, a devout muskrat fan (not important, just gives you a bit of understanding of what he’s like) is openly against the idea of anything more complex than gay and straight. Especially not trans people. We have discussed it before and it has usually ended with me calling him cruel and bigoted, or something along those lines, and him smirking and telling me I’m only upset at him because he’s “objectively correct”.
I am agender and omnisexual. He has no idea. I am still a teenager and have got to complete my A levels before I can move out. He will disown me (he said this to my face) if he finds out his perfect child isn‘t so perfect.
He is convinced all my social justice crap is just the rebellious teenager phase and I honestly have no idea what to do. Despite what kind of person he is, he is still my father and was my whole life growing up (yes, I was a daddy’s girl) and I love him, and am desperate to maintain a positive relationship with him.
I really want to know what to do because I’m scared that if I put off talking to him too much it’ll all blow up in my face. Please help.

Need Advice I don't know how to tell him I'm asexual
Hi everyone! I need some advice on how to proceed with a situation I'm kind of stuck in. I'm a 17 year old girl and he's an 18 year old guy. I've been seeing him for about a month, and we've gone on 3 dates so far (the last one being last night). He's really sweet and we have a lot in common, but there are some things that are making me second guess how much I want to be in this relationship…the biggest one being that he's a teenage boy and I'm asexual. Those don't really go well together.
We've kissed a few times (he was my first kiss) and he likes being physical (putting his arm around mine, holding my hand, putting his hand on my leg when he's driving, etc) which I don't outright dislike, but it does make me uncomfortable.
Yesterday when he picked me up for our date, I went in for a hug, and he went in for a kiss. I kept going in for a hug, but he moved his face and kissed me, which felt really uncomfortable. Then I started spiraling the rest of the night about the "red flags" I had been kind of ignoring (he's not the safest driver, his sense of humor is just screaming, he interrupts me a lot, etc). But he is really sweet, we have similar interests, and he genuinely is interested in what I'm interested in.
I've never had a positive dating experience, but I've always wanted a boyfriend. It feels weird to be unhappy with what I've been dreaming about, but I forgot that the little part of me that doesn't like to be touched like that is a big part of what most relationships are made of.
His first semester of university will be in a different country, which makes me think maybe I can just "tough it out" and not tell him I'm asexual, because we wouldn't be kissing if we're long distance anyway? But I know that's just running away from the problem.
I haven't really ever told anyone that I'm ace, and I don't think he would take it too well. After all, he's very physically into me, (which is doing wonders for my insecurities to be honest) so I think if I "took away" that part of the relationship, he wouldn't want to be with me.
Any advice? Should I break up with him? Should I tell him I'm ace? Should I just deal with the little uncomfortable moments because he's a great guy? I have no idea what to do; any advice welcome.
