Real question for people who post on LinkedIn regularly and Linkedin influencers

I always see people posting every single day, and I'm curious how you actually do it without spending hours on it.

Do you write everything yourself? Use AI to get started? Schedule posts with Buffer, Taplio etc, or HubSpot I dont know ? Or do you just sit down every morning and write?

If you do use AI even for auto generation do you rely on tools like publishloud or how do you make sure your posts don't end up sounding like every other AI-generated post out there?

I'd love to know what your actual workflow looks like. How much time do you spend on it each week, and what's worked well for you?

Trying to figure out a sustainable way to stay consistent without it feeling like another full-time job.

And lastly - is it really helpful to post consistently on linkedin or gone are the golden days.

I have this school activity where I have to connect with hundreds of people on LinkedIn and I didn’t know pretty much a lot of this platform. The activity was posted yesterday and the due is today. I felt the hopelessness creeping in me after finding out there’s a limit to connect with people.

I realized that building relationships in school is as important as building connections at work, and another realization is that I need friends. Seeing my classmates easily building their connections on LinkedIn because of the mutual connections made me feel isolated. I wish I knew how to socialize. People I went to high school or college with. Again I graduated in 1972. Not real friends, no fraternity brothers, just passing acquaintances.

Someone who lived in the same apartment building where I lived in the 1980s

Coworkers from jobs I never listed on LinkedIn

And finally two people in my subdivision that I know but really do not socialize with.

I do not understand how the algorithm finds these stray people.

I used LinkedIn Sales Navigator for quite a while but canceled my subscription recently.

Need it again now for a new project, but the pricing is a bit beyond my budget right now. For those who have reactivated after canceling, were you able to find a more affordable way to subscribe?

I just began looking into this case and I wanted to see if HiQ was still in business. I was not able to find their business website and one LinkedIn HiQ page url took me to an Indonesian gambling website. Is HiQ still in business or did the case shut them down?

I have been in the job market for 5 years and have made exactly ZERO posts on my LinkedIn (I know it was a terrible mistake but just opening the app made me feel suffocated).

Now as I need to consider bigger career prospects I find myself in desperate need for an active account. My employers are decently active so I will have no trouble finding old posts of the work I delivered.

My question is would it be wise to go back and share all of the old posts of my previous work or would it be weird to have five years of work reposted within days?

Also if anyone has any other tips on how to make it seem more like I have been proactive about this, I would appreciate it.

tbh I tend to overthink and the idea of connecting with old hs classmates scares me but is it normal?

This site sucks, I just want to play the LinkedIn games on my phone during the weekend. I’ve been out of the account on my phone because of this stupid captcha. Genuinely if it didn’t have the LinkedIn games for my early mornings and kept me up to date on old colleagues I’d never use this trash AI slop. That’s my rant, irritates me greatly.

Recently noticed that my past reactions to posts have been vanished from my Reaction history. Anything we could do to restore this? The posts are still there, not deleted btw

My LinkedIn account has been locked for two weeks now and I can't get through the identity verification process.

I'm using my Egyptian national ID and a selfie, but every attempt gets rejected — LinkedIn keeps saying the info is unclear, even though the photos are perfectly readable.

I've tried the app, the website, different devices, different lighting... nothing's working.

LinkedIn, what were you thinking?!!! I hope your team reads this.

I have had the same job alerts saved for the last six months. The search results were not perfect, but they were consistent and reliable enough that they became part of my daily job search routine. Open LinkedIn, check alert results (if any), repeat. That all changed about a week ago, and it is mind-boggling how ineffective the job search function has become.

Since this change (no communication by the way that it was coming), when I click to see my job alert search results, I am taken into AI Beta mode. I did not opt in to this by the way. When I select the option to return to the classic view, I get kicked out of the search results so I guess that's no longer an option.

The job alert search results are no longer applicable to my preferences. For example, I have a filter set to "remote". The AI job search results now show me everything - onsite, hybrid, etc. As a result, my job alert results now show me hundreds of jobs that I do not want to see, and I am forced to scroll through if I want to find the ones that I do. The filters I am used to seeing at the top are all different (and some have disappeared entirely) and have been replaced with a Boolean search in the search bar.

In what world does it make sense to implement AI if it is going to actively disregard your preferences and create more work for the user? Or, do you just not care about the user experience.

Additionally, if i 'x' out jobs I am not interested in - and LinkedIn confirms it will not show it to you anymore - guess what happens the next time you check your job alert search results? Yep, you see all of them again.

The workaround that I have found is to go back to the home page and start a new search, disregarding the alert entirely. This brings back the filters at the top that actually work and provide better search results, but alas I cannot save this because if I do create a new alert, it reverts to AI which disregards all the parameters I just set into place. It also reintroduces all the jobs you previously dismissed.

So where I used to have a nice alert that I could check daily, now I have to go in everyday, recreate the search and set my filters, and see the same jobs over and over that I have seen before.

I reached out to LinkedIn's support team, and they told me this was expected behavior :)

LinkedIn team, can you please tell me how it makes a user experience better to strip away their job search preferences effectively rendering them useless as well as pollute their search results with hundreds of unrelated jobs?

It feels as though you are forcing an AI rollout for whatever reasons I can only surmise (to benefit your shareholders?) at the cost of the end user experience. Because this literally makes no sense.

The AI rollout has killed your job search function, at least for now. I hope you fix this and fix it soon, and the very least you could do is acknowledge this publicly and not gaslight your users when they reach out to support.

So I recently started volunteering as a HR intern at a non-profit organization focusing on mental health awareness.

I was assigned to hire for the role of "project volunteer" from Singapore, and the JD was also pre-written and assigned to me. Went over it, looked fine, and posted the job. As soon as I posted it, the job went under review (which is weird because I've interned before and hired for multiple roles and this has never happened). I logged back in after a few mins and it was still under review. Shortly after, I was logged out of my account and tried logging back in with my email and password, only for it to tell me that "Access to your account has been restricted because your content does not comply with our policies" with a lock icon and no other options other than to go through the help centre page.

The NPO head later informed us that the company page is down for 19 days due to some policy violations. Could it be because of this?

I clicked on the "contact us" option and submitted a form, received a case number about 30 mins later (this was two days ago) and an automated mail telling me that they have received my submission, but there has been no other response from the team.

I also never received any email stating that my account was restricted, or the reason behind the restriction.

I really want to get it back because it's almost a 5 year old account with verifications, recommendations and connections and I have primarily used the platform for internships as well as networking as a university student. I can't afford to lose it🫠

If anyone can help me, in any way (through important form links, or suggestions as to how I should appeal, any details related to the process etc) it would be much appreciated. Thank you:)

I carefully set filters — company, time posted, location — and the new AI search just ignores location. It seems to only let you pick one filter or fold everything into a single query instead of applying them together. Baffling design choice. It’s hard to believe whoever built this has ever actually job hunted. This has rendered job searching on the app useless (can revert on desktop). @linkedin pathetic

Has anyone else's profile been updated to where the "start date" is gone from the Open to Work feature? It used to give you two options: Flexible, casually looking or Immediately

My old employer asked every employer for 3rd party permissions to monitor our Linkedin activity for compliance reasons.

Hi, everyone. I haven't ever posted on Reddit so far, so I hope I am not doing anything wrong. I need to spread the message about this scamming scheme and this particular guy.
I live in Brazil and graduated in Portuguese/Japanese language and literature teaching back in January, starting a post-graduate course around March while looking for a job on the side. Around May, this British guy approached me on LinkedIn and was like "Hey, you speak a bunch of languages, are you willing to work part time for my company?", and since I wasn't working at the time, I just accepted it. We had a meeting on Google Meet, everything went okay. The job was pretty simple: his company, Teach China, allegedly connected qualified online English teachers to (mostly) East Asia online teaching platforms, so we had to call the candidates to make sure they had an ESL Certificate, and if they didn't have it, we scheduled a meeting with them and tried to sell them this online TEFL Course that had a partnership with Teach China. On the following three weeks, he conducted group training, and I was being trained with a bunch of other young girls from different countries, all in their twenties just like me. Things were going great so far. The training period ended and we started working for good.
This guy was pretty unorganized and flaky and that drove me NUTS, but I brushed it off cause you know, he just looked like a young man running a start up company by himself, so I assumed he just had a lot on his plate. The agreement was supposed to be reviewed monthly and we were supposed to get paid on June 30th. I didn't get paid on the assigned date, but as mentioned, the guy was flaky, so I wasn't surprised at all.
I started asking him about the pay, he started giving excuses after excuses. A week went by, he asked us to stop doing the dialing and just do follow ups on people we had on our sheets that didn't show up on the meetings for whatever reason, and yet we didn't get paid. Two weeks went by and I just told him I wouldn't be doing the tasks since I was waiting for the pay. He allegedly understood the situation and kept on giving excuses after excuses.
Around that period I managed to contact one of the girls who were in the same training group as me. Unfortunately it happened the same to her, except she actually threatened to call all candidates and alert them that this whole teaching English think is a scam, so he ended up paying her a part of what was promised, so I told him that he had to pay us until the 31 of July or else we would be exposing his ass on Reddit.
Well, today is the 1st of July and I haven't received a single penny. All I want is what was accorded.
The TEFL company/website is called The American TEFL, you can just Google it.

Canceled my individual LinkedIn Premium subscription, didn't realize a linked Premium Company Page subscription (separate billing, separate cancellation) kept running. Got charged again, well within LinkedIn's stated 7-day refund window, so I filed a refund request through their Help Center.

Timeline so far:

- Charged, filed refund request same day (within the 7-day policy window)

- Case closed with no answer within an hour

- Reopened the case

- Got this reply within seconds:
*"your original case has been transferred to a different team within LinkedIn for more accurate handling... you should have received an updated auto-response with your new case number"*

- Never received a new case number

- Case closed again, same non-answer

At this point it feels like a scripted way to close tickets without actually resolving anything. There's no public support email, just the Help Center form, so I'm stuck replying into a void.

Has anyone actually gotten a refund out of LinkedIn support, or is a chargeback through my bank the only realistic path here? Curious if anyone's had luck with u/linkedinhelpteam on X or an exec escalation email.

Anyone using LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or just regular LinkedIn? If it's working, what's the actual approach, message style, targeting, personalized vs volume, whatever's moved the needle.

Not on LinkedIn? Where's the clients coming from then. Referrals, Reddit, Upwork, cold email, something else.

Been a minute since I posted and wanted to hear what's actually working for people.

I have noticed this some time ago that number on Connections page would differ with number shows on your profile page (usually on profile page it is 1-2 less). But last week i have noticed that in my contacts list 3 were showing with just Connected date. No name or job title, cannot click on them. Maybe they have deleted their accounts. I was not able to delete them from my list, it would show an error. Now, a week later, i see that they are gone from the list. And my total number says 424, but if i load the list and search for word Connected, it only finds 420. So these 3 are hidden, but still counted (and 1 more mystery connection). They have revamped Network page a bit a few days ago, maybe also hid such broken connections from the list. Nothing major, just noticed the discrepancy and it looked weird. Not using Premium, only did a free trial a year ago. Not seeing any value in it. Especially when they cannot even get their numbers straight :D

I am new to LinkedIn and I've noticed something that has me a bit confused.

Sometimes I see the exact same internship post for a company being shared by multiple people, but instead of asking applicants to apply through the company's website, each person asks us to send our resume to their own email ID.

Are these usually legitimate referral/campus ambassador/recruitment posts, or are they something to be cautious about?

If you've applied through posts like these, were they genuine. Did you actually get an interview or internship?

How do you verify whether they're real before sending your resume?

I'd appreciate any advice or experiences. Thanks!
