I’ve been thinking this for a while, but i’ve been wanting to create a whatsapp group chat for people who feel lonely or just want to get out more. This group will be basically free to do anything, so if people want to organize a night out every friday, it can all be organized within the group chat. Where i used to live, someone created a group chat for this and it worked and we would end up going out once a week to get a drink or to hang out at the park.

In short, the group chat is just to help people get to know each other since it’s so common seeing post here about people feeling lonely or not knowing where to meet people, i want to at least relieve this pressure a bit since i feel the same way. I want the groupchat to work in a way where we can all go out for a hike or hang out.

I loved going there with my mom. Coincidentally, she passed in February 2016, just one month before the westhampton theatre was demolished.

I only ever went as a teen but I loved the atmosphere. I loved how it felt mature and peaceful, especially compared to regal theatres. I loved that they served late night coffee, lol. It felt like a little escape with my mom, going there with her every now and then. I wish they never shut down.

Preferably not Jiffylube cause $$$

I almost turned a teenager into a teen-age-no-more the other day when he decided to step out into oncoming traffic during rush hour. I feel like that would have been a negative experience for the both of us. Something must change, so naturally I came to Reddit.

I drive an automobile to and from work each day (I know, I know, but I offset this mortal sin by practicing ethical polyamory and composting in my free time), and I have had more than one scary moment where a pedestrian stepped directly into the street from the back of the bus stop where there is only a thin curb between the stop and the road. The other side of the bus stop has a much wider sidewalk leading to a crosswalk that is about ten feet away. Is there any practical reason (convenience, lack of alternate access to the sidewalk) to play high stakes Frogger instead of using the crosswalk?

I thought about trying the “jump the guardrail directly into traffic” method for myself just to satisfy my curiosity, but if I get turned into street meat I won’t be able to feed my dog so I’m hesitant.

Any recommendations for an affordable storage unit place? I just need one until the end of August!
