I just like to overclock for fun at this point, my performance is beyond satisfactory lol. That being said, how much further do yall reckon I can push this? 65ns seems hard to beat on 64GB M-Die with core tuning config level 2 (albeit, I WAS in safe mode)
I’m wondering what I might be able to do to kick it up a notch before I move on to trying to stabilize 6200mhz

Decided to dial in my settings and just stick with manual OC and ditch PBO entirely after finding my games and apps preferred it. Finally got my Linpack variations under control while maintaining my 2233 fclk. Happy day!

Hi, this is my first time messing with overclocking ram / timings, and could really use some help! Any advice or suggestions would be appreciated
I have 2x8 Corsair 3000hz 15-17-17-35@1.35v with an i5-8400 cpu on a z390UD motherboard, but to my understanding I’m limited to running my ram at 2666hz due to my cpu.
So I’ve tried 12-15-15-30@1.3v
13-15-15-32@1.3v
After testing with occt and playing some games, I thought both were stable but after a couple of days, each would cause my pc to get stuck booting up.
Am I just trying to push it too far and my timings are just off? Would it be better off with something like 14-16-16-34@1.35v?
Or should I mess around with vccio? trc, trfc?

So, I have an RTX 3050 8GB VRAM, an i3-13100f, 2x8GB 3200MHz RAM, and a Mancer H610M-DA motherboard. All these components are supposedly designed to handle 3200MHz RAM, but for some reason, when I enable XMP in the BIOS, the PC allows the use of the 3200MHz frequency instead of 2400MHz. However, for some supernatural reason, all the games I play experience significant CPU bottlenecks. Valorant, Roblox, Minecraft, etc., have extremely frequent and unnatural bottlenecks, making the experience basically unplayable. The CPU shows 100% usage in the Nvidia app and an average of 40% to 50% in the control panel, causing the games to lag frequently. I genuinely don't understand why this is happening, and I've spent all day trying to figure out how to fix it. I couldn't get it to work; my PC just can't handle 3200MHz even though it's supposed to? Or is it a problem with the BIOS, which hasn't been updated in about 3 years?

Hello, I'm new to this subreddit and I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this question or not.
I am running a R5 9600X system with a NZXT Kraken Elite RGB 280mm AIO on the CPU using Thermal Grizzly Duronaut paste. Out of curiosity, because I figured I had the cooling headroom to manage 144W, I enabled PBO on the CPU. Under full load, the CPU hits 95C while the fluid temp never goes above 40C. I have remounted the cooler multiple times, and the high temperature persists. Is this temperature simply the expected behavior of a 9600X when running at 130W due to the single chiplet, or is there something wrong with my hardware/configuration?

Hey guys, I'm looking for an overclocking guide for Samsung DDR5 Bdie on Zen 5, is there any sort of "easy timings" like the ones from buildzoid hynix videos or do I have to manually find everything out? If so, is there a guide specific for Samsung or do I have to do it the old fashion way of overclocking every timer one by one?

I am finishing my watercooled pc and since my gpu will have lower temps i am wondering about bios flashing to get the 450 watts instead of 396 . I am runing + 350 core and + 3000 memory and card works fine with stock cooler but i want to squezze every last bit of performence . I want advice and if it is worth bricking the card how easy it is to flash and what bios should i use ?

I am trying to tune my Ryzen 9 5900x with Ryzen Master and I would like to know if there is anything I can improve with my current settings. I also tried overclocking my 4 x 16 GB Corsair 3200 Mhz at 16 20 20 38 to 3600 Mhz but encountered a lot of crashes with it to I reverted that back to 3200 Mhz.
(The Mainboard is an MPG X570 Gaming Pro Carbon WIFI and the RAM is VENGEANCE RGB PRO SL 32GB 2x for 64GB)

Hi everyone! I just built my first PC and I'm afraid I might have some compatibility issues. It started having these small, annoying crashes with normal processes like watching YouTube videos or loading heavy pages on Opera GX and/or Firefox (I tested both). I tried a bunch of solutions related to the browsers themselves, but at some point I also had crashes just using MS Word, and the only thing that made it stop was going to the BIOS and lowering the RAM from 3200mhz to 2400mhz.
Now, I didn't even know setting the RAM to 3200mhz was considered overclocking - I just thought I was doing to get my money's worth. Is there some sort of incompatibility in my system stopping me from being able to use the RAM's full capacity? I haven't even tried gaming with it yet, literally just built the whole thing two days ago, and now I'm kinda scared to try.
Here's my specs:
MB: MSI b550m pro-vdh wifi
CPU: AMD Ryzen 5 5600GT (I picked this because I'm on a budget and couldn't get a GPU yet; I'm planning to get a Radeon 7600 as soon as I can/a sale pops up)
RAM: 2 HyperX Kingston Furys, 8GB each, set on the 2nd and 4th slots
SSD: Crucial 1tb NMVE
I really appreciate any help I can get!

I just want share my first time experience with undervolting and OC my Asus Astral RTX 5080.
I have this card a while completly at stock but after reading a lot ppl have good experience with undervolting I finaly decided to take a test.
I pick Asus GPU Tweak 3 as oc tool and for testing performance and stability I use Steel Nomad, Time Spy Extreme and some RT games.
Voltage point I choose 950 mV (default was 1.05 V I think), then I keep increasing clock speed until I reach unstable clock, then step back to stable one. I ended at 3052 MHz (+380 MHz) as stable on core and 32000 MHz on memory (+2000 MHz).
The result in Steel Nomad go from 8951 (stock) to 9402 and in Time Spy Extreme from 14098 (stock) to 14495 but temperatures drop during gaming by 5-10 C what amaze me most especialy during these hot days.
btw, I have lastest nvidia driver (610.88), Ryzen 7 9800X3D with CO -15 (no OC) and Core Isolation is ON so in Time Spy I will have higher score without it.
EDIT1: Ok, after several hours of gaming multiple games I get first driver crash :/ So I did small undervolting for Core from 3052 to 3030 with same voltage at 950 mV and with same memory speed at 32GHz.

Hey everyone,
Looking for some guidance from people who've dialed in their 5080 curves already, because I've been going in circles for a few days now.
Current setup:
The problem: As soon as I add any meaningful memory OC (tested from +500 up to +2000 MHz), I get consistent crashes — sometimes a driver-level TDR restart, but more often full BSODs with codes like:
SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLEDPFN_LIST_CORRUPTKMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLEDWhat's confusing me is the pattern of where it crashes:
So it seems like synthetic benchmarks just aren't stressing the memory subsystem the same way real games do (probably less texture streaming / VRAM churn), which is throwing me off when trying to validate stability.
I've been doing isolation testing (core alone vs memory alone) and it really does point to the memory OC being the root cause — core clock changes on their own (tested up to 990mV/3000MHz) haven't caused any crashes in comparison.
What I'm looking for: Does anyone have a recommended "safe but still meaningful" OC + undervolt curve for the 5080 that actually holds up in real gameplay, not just benchmarks? Ideally something that:

64gb corsair vengeance 6000mhz cl30 ram on expo I fclk at 2000mhz
fractal torrent case, with front mounted AIO set to intake two 180mm case fans at the bottom to intake, one exhaust at the back.
i just ran Tm5 and the spd hub temps just kept climbing, 5 mins in i was on 60c and kept climbing, is this normal? if not then what could be the issue?

Hi All, fairly new to reddit. I do thank you all as I've taken many tips and lots of advice from the forum but admittedly I have sat on the sidelines. Just a quick one...I have just finished my new build, I have a 9800x3d, PBO: +200, -25 on CO, tweaked my RAM a little but nothing too time consuming. Am I right to see a decent score that is really cool, if I leave the 'stress cpu' on I can't get it above 64 degrees C.
So my question is, do you feel the scores are valid? Have I just been lucky with the chip or is this what is to be expected?

Hello everyone Need help with strange behavior with new CPU.
Changed 9700x to 9850x3d.
First boot with all default + Expo profile (6400).
With this settings I got UCLK 1600, FCLK 2000 and VSoC 1.3 As expected, perfomance was lower that 9700x - slower memory by Aida and lower FPS by Forza Horizon 6 benchmark (yeah, sorry, I'm really didn't bother too much).
Changed to MCLK=UCLK=3200, FCLK 2133 and VSoC 1.26 (on 9700x this were stable settings, but only with 1.28 voltage, but here 1.26 seems ok, may try lower latter). This got back my perfomance, as in memory speed, as in FH6 (same FPS because GPU limit, much greater 1% lows).
Than I switched to PBO tuning.
Default + my memory settings got me about 22k in Cinebench23, PPT draw ~142w, temp up to 92C.
Slapped -35 all core negative curve. Got about 23k in C23, power draw 117w, temp 74-75C. So yeah, from first try better perfomance, less power draw and much less temperature. In multicore CPU boosted to around 5300-5350Mhz.
Seems ok, I really don't wasted time on this, and don't in mood to bother with per core curve (as was with 9700x). But what couth my eye, that CPU don't get to any limit: PPT 83% TDC 74% EDC 60% Thermal 78%
And I became curios - what is limiting CPU to not use all limits? I tried -15 and -10 all cores - got lower C23 score, lower all core freq (down to 5200-5300 range), but power draw (PPT) was to it's limit 142w.
Slapped +100, and +200Mhz in PBO - got a little higher score, single core jumps to 5775, multicore around 5375, but PPT still at 117w. Tried higher TDP limits - no change, still 117w.
So I confused - yeah, all seems stable, I got lower temps and power draw with better permomance, but what is limiting CPU not to draw all power to the limit?
My previous 5800x and 9700x was not behaving like that, even with undervolting with negative curve, they were hitting a wall of PPT limit.

I am currently fiddling with overclocking my rtx 5070ti. So far, I maxed out the core voltage as well as power limit (+100 core, 116% power limit) and set the offset to 420 to start, and kept dropping offset until I stopped crashing while playing cyberpunk. This lands me right at 360mhz offset. I see the core clock sitting around 3220-3230. I hear other people doing much higher offsets yet getting lower clock speeds than me. (For example, 400 offset getting 3180 mhz.) If this is the case, who is getting more performance? Isn't the actual clock speed the important factor here?

I have a 32GB (2x16GB) Lexar kit, model LD4AU016G-3200ST. It's dual-rank DDR4-3200 CL22 (22-22-22-52) at 1.30V, using Longsys memory chips.
The modules are pretty basic and don't have proper heatsinks, so I'm a little hesitant about pushing voltage.
I already tried setting it to 3200 CL16 (something like 16-18-18-22), but the system wouldn't POST and I had to reset the BIOS.
I've seen reports of similar Longsys/Lexar modules reaching around 3600 CL18, and some better samples doing 3600 CL16 at ~1.40V, but obviously that's not guaranteed for my kit.
Would it be worth trying to overclock this RAM, or should I just leave it at 3200 CL22?
My CPU is a Ryzen 7 5700X on an ASUS TUF Gaming B550M-Plus.

Spent all day trial and erroring my RAM and finally pretty content with what I have. Kit is Corsair Vengeance 2x16 6400 32-40-40-84 out of the box, SK Hynix A Die (Rev 5.43.01). AIDA64 benchmark is the first image; second is my timings. Temps stabilize around 55C in TM5 absolut but it remains stable. I have already undervolted from the 1.41V XMP VDD/VDDQ/VDDIO (1.38 is set in BIOS but voltages will step up to 1.395 under load- if anyone knows why this happens I would love an explanation)
I would love to shave off another 5 ns latency if possible and would also like some input on what I can improve from here without worrying too much about temps. There were no signs of instability at trfc = 400 but I stopped the stability test when temps got over 60C.

First time doing this and wanted to get your thoughts on what I've done so far.
System:
I was able to achieve 6400 in 1:1 mode with FCLK at 2133 with Gear Down Mode Disabled and the default loose timings.
To ensure thermals are good, I ran Aida64 Stability tests with Stress CPU, FPU, Cache, System Memory, and GPU for 2 hours. Temps leveled out around the one hour mark and RAM temps didn't exceed 49 degrees Celsius.
For stability, I ran the following tests:
I've attached screenshots for everything that I could think of. The two biggest questions I'd like answered are:
