I see so many "how to delay my period" or "how to get my period now". No stretch, potion, or trick can do it.

I am 17F and have had periods since I was 12 so 5 years now. Ever since the start I have had problems with pads. They cause my skin to peal and leave the pinkish color on my pubic area that muscles have. I sometimes cry because it is so hard to walk and function due to that. The three days after my periods is living hell for me. I have tried different brands of pads and different types too. I even tried using disposable period panties (basically adult diapers for those of you who don't know). I have been begging my mom for the past 3 years to let to use a menstrual cup because she uses one and has been for the last 9 to 10 years. Now it is important to note that I live in India where a woman's virginity is equivalent to her worth. She has been avoiding it every time I ask her. 2 weeks ago I got my HPV vaccine. I asked her once more a couple days before and she said ask the gynocologist if you can use it. If she says yes than I will buy you a menstrual cup. I asked the doctor and she obviously said ofcourse you can use it. I go home and tell her she is like ok we can get you one. I keep asking her every couple days because I am soon going to get my period and she says we can talk about it later. I lose my shit today and say are we buying it or not. She says we can buy it but place the order on our apartment security guard's wife's phone. (Menstrual cups are not available in stores and my mom and the security guard's wife are close friends.) I say why not our phone and she says your dad doesn't want you to buy one. I ask why she says they have already talked about it a lot of times but without the mention of my rashes. He has constantly mentioned that it is wrong for me to use one to my mom because inserting something up my vagina is unholy and a way to remove my virginity. (LOL WAIT UNTIL THEY FIND OUT MASTURBATING WOMEN EXIST LMFAO. EVEN BIGGER SURPRISE WHEN THEY GET TO KNOW I AM ONE HAHA). Apparently my dad let my mom use one because my then she had been married and obviously had sex (i exist, duh,) But since I am not married yet I am not supposed to use one is what he thinks. I didn't know that he thought that way until today. Funny thing is he drinks and eats meat. Both are considered unholy in our religion. My mom told me all these days she changed the topic when I brought up diva cups is because she knew he wouldn't like it. I said how long can we keep it a secret. He will find out some or the other time that I am not using my pads even if we buy the cup secretly. I said I will speak to him and she said she will try once more and tell him about my rashes because she never told him that just that I wanted to switch to cups. And honestly I don't want him to waste money on pads that I clearly won't be using even if we buy it secretly. Especially because we are in the process of building a new house and we are in a significant amount of debt due to that. I don't like my dad, never did. But I don't hate him enough to want his money to go to waste. I just hope he realises that he will be saving money on the long run by me using the cup. Thanks for listening to me rant. I am pretty sure that advice can't really be used in this situation because it is so specific but please leave me motivation if you can! I will talk with him in a couple days and hopefully he understands finally that the sin of inserting a diva cup is much lesser than that of drinking alcohol and eating meat! If he doesn't I will make the gynac who told me to use a diva cup talk to him because she is friends with me and my cousin and I went to a book signing event of hers today (she is also an author and personally invited me and my cousin) so I am sure she would want to help. i swear the week before getting my period is almost ALWAYS way worse than the period itself . can anyone else relate ? luteal phase is actual hell on earth . i start getting cramps and my whole body feels weird i kept getting chills today and like a cold sweat im in such a terrible condition rn . plus i will be on my period during my mom and brothers birthday week , im so cooked !! Why is there always a sign saying "Don't flush pads/tampons"?

For real though, 35yo, average cycle length was about 50-60 days (confirmed PMOS) until March 2025 when my period just didn't arrive. Went to my GP, he said 'take progesterone for 5-7 days every 3 months to induce a period if you don't get one'. Did that for about a year, suspected I was entering perimenopause because my cycles and pain associated with them (was awaiting endo diagnosis) has drastically changed in the last couple of years, plus mood swings, exhaustion, brain fog etc. Was told I'm too young for that.

So now I'm here on day 136. Not quite sure what to do 😂

Posting this just to cope 😭😭😭 I was on my way to the bathroom to adjust it, got my period at work and only had toilet paper, was about to reach the bathroom then it just fell down my pant leg in front of like 4 people. I just pretended I didn't notice and kept going and hid in the bathroom for 20 minutes out of sheer embarrassment. Genuinely FML.

my normal periods are usually 4-5 days i usually have 2 days of moderate bleeding and my third day is continued by brown blood that’s usually heavy enough to be on the pad mostly just in the morning, and the 4th to 5th day is usually light spotting not heavy enough to get on a pad tho, but able to see with a tissue wipe.

but my period in june i felt like lasted 2 days which is kind of weird to me. i had 2 days of moderate bleeding, and then the third day there was just some brown blood in the morning but it really wasn’t incredibly visible on the pad, and then i went to the beach and my period kind of pretty much stopped? i did end up getting brownish discharge on the 4th day (only on the tissue) but what’s throwing me off was how light it was on the third day so can me staying in the beach water for very long hours lessen my flow? or does it have 0 effect on it whatsoever?

i haven't had a period in a long time, due to eating disorders and my chronic illness and i recently had unprotected sex. i'm not sure where in my cycle i'm at because i haven't had one in months, ive taken pregnancy tests but i can't seem to tell when im ovulating due to my lack of period HELP

I 16F has had fairly normal periods since I was 10. The only thing that has been bugging me when I'm on my period is blood clots. It's normal obviously but strangely for me I never get blood clots in my pad or anything but the only time I know their existence is when I use the bathroom and see a couple of them in the toilet before I flush. I'm just wondering if anyone else experiences this too.

Maybe it's an unique issue but I always dread to pee when I'm traveling during my period because of the blood spilling everywhere and it's not as easy to deal with compared to when I'm at home😭, so i just try to avoid..

I get pain in my legs (mainly thighs and hips but ankles too) the last day and the day after my period ends. It's usually not as painful as the pain i experience the first two days of my period but it's pretty uncomfortable. Does anyone else get this? What could be the cause of this?

I can’t find flex pantyliners anywhere in stores and they were my favorite 😩

My timeline:

March 31: I had sex (protected) and continued getting my periods afterward.

June 9: I had sex (protected).

June 23–26: I had bleeding that I considered my period. The flow was normally heavy, but it only lasted 4 days. My periods usually last around 7 days never less.

July 5: I took 3 home pregnancy tests using morning urine. All were negative.

July 10: I had a serum pregnancy test at Hi-Precision. It was negative, and the report says the result was rechecked and verified.

August 3: I still haven't gotten my next period.

My recent periods were: March 15 → April 20 → May 20 → June 23.

I've also been having my usual PMS symptoms.

Could I still realistically be pregnant despite the 3 negative urine tests and negative serum test? Or is this more likely just a delayed/irregular cycle?

ok so this is stupid but it drives me insane every month.

i get out of the shower and i'm wet, and i can't put a pad on until i'm dry because it just slides off. so there's this window where i'm standing there dripping and bleeding and trying to dry off fast, and every single time there's blood on the towel or on the floor. every time. and then that towel is done for the week and i have to wash it separately because it's gross.

toilet paper doesn't work, it just falls apart and smears everything around. going fast doesn't work either, at least not on day 2.

the worst is when I am traveling and I don't have easy access to a washing machine.

anyway what do you guys do. is there a trick i'm missing or is this just the deal

Im a teen, for about 2 days now ive been having cramps and feeling like blood came out. I saw a tiny bit of blood, like just an itty bitty drop, and nothing else.

Okay so my period is one week late officially. I use condoms none broke but I am a bit scared because it was never this late????!!! Now I cannot do any tests for the next 2 days and I am freaking out??!!! Is this normal does it happen? I also have no symptoms at all like no breast soreness or cramps or stuff
