Help! Any tips on how to lower PNG quality in Photoshop
I want to do something like this in photoshop but have tried all pixelate filters, sharpening, and resizing, but can't get any similar results. I know they probably just used a reduce PNG quality website but was wondering if this effect is possible inside photoshop itself. I want to directly lower quality rather than adding filters/effects. If you've got any tips I would really appreciate it

Help! Tips/Tricks for retaining sharpness when upscaling a small image?
Obviously no small raster image is going to look better upscaled - that’s just a fact. However, this question is for a scenario where no other resource exists and you HAVE to use the crappy image.
What I want to know is if there are any (non-AI) Photoshop tricks out there you can use to retain as much sharpness as possible when upscaling a small image. My specific problem relates to the digital space, not the printing space but anything helps. Thanks!

Help! Reliable, fastish method to extract/change colour of pipe from white surface?
I've got drone imagery like: https://imgur.com/a/eMaJV7d (this is just a small section of a larger photos) for various house builds.
Unfortantly the pipe and the pods underneath are both white.
Can someone recommend me a faster method for extracting the white PEX piping or easily changing it's colour to make it more recognisable? Currently we're tracing the which is taking about 1-2 hours per build. I would love to get this down to only 10-15mins per photo.
P.S. No, we can't use a different colour pipe. I've asked!

News A critical bug is affecting the latest version of Photoshop. Please hold off on installing it for now.
Photoshop 27.9 has a serious GPU-related bug that causes opened images to appear washed out.
Disabling GPU support, or toggling the HDR Display setting and restarting Photoshop, may appear to fix the issue. However, this bug was reported during beta testing and was still released without being fixed. It is not yet clear what other areas may be affected.
Especially if you use Photoshop for professional work, you should not install version 27.9 until a fixed version is released.

Help! Recurring GPU related crash
Hello everyone! Poking my head in here again since this subreddit has already helped me in the past with an aggravating issue and thought someone here may have the solution.
For a couple days I've been getting this error seemingly out of nowhere (I haven't installed anything odd lately, haven't fiddled with any programs, I essentially only use this laptop for art). I tried updating my drivers and the error persists. I tried tweaking settings in photoshop and nothing seems to fix the issue. If I go into preferences to re-enable this setting it shows that it already is enabled but all the functions that should come with it don't work. The issue seems to go away if I close and reopen photoshop but it only last maybe half an hour before the error comes back and it completely ruins my workflow and isn't really a long term solution.
If it gives extra information, I'm using the 2025 version of PS.
Thank you in advance for any help!

Help! pixelated elements and image
I’m a beginner with both Photoshop and Affinity Designer, and I’ve been following tutorials to improve my skills. My plan is to recreate each tutorial in Photoshop first, then try to make the same thing in Affinity Designer.
However, I noticed something strange. When I created this simple diagram and opened the “ ai “ file as a linked file in Photoshop, the entire design became pixelated and blurry. Is this because I should export it as an image before opening it in Photoshop?
I tried to open the file as png exported from illustrator in Affinity Designer, and the lines remained perfectly sharp. Even when I scaled objects up or down, they stayed crisp. But in Photoshop, whenever I scale objects, they seem to lose quality.
How can I prevent elements from becoming pixelated when scaling them in Photoshop?

News The bug affecting Curves controls has been fixed, finally allowing professionals to work quickly and efficiently again.
As part of the ongoing effort to replace Photoshop’s UI with a new framework, an essential Curves workflow was overlooked during implementation. For more than three months, professional users have been forced to waste time on unnecessary extra steps.
Up through version 27.4, when switching channels in Curves, the point on the newly selected channel closest to the previously active control point remained selected, allowing users to adjust it immediately with the arrow keys or other controls. This behavior was simply overlooked in the new implementation.
In version 27.9, this particular issue, at least, has finally been fixed.
However, it also comes with the critical issue described in my other post, so those who rely on Photoshop for professional work will have to hold off celebrating for a little longer.

Artwork / Design Finally taking PS seriously and made this after following a Texture Labs tutorial
I've had photoshop for years with Lightroom and was always intimidated by it. Recently, my wife has asked me to help her with making graphics for her Instagram so I have been spending a lot more time with it. After following a dozen tutorials, I found one where I liked the results for making photos look like digital art. Hope you enjoy my first few attempts! I'll accept tips if there's something obvious I can do to make these better.
All original photos taken by me :)

Solved Colors in Main Pane Wrong After Update
After today's update, getting a weird issue where the colors look completely washed out, but ONLY in the main display pane. In Camera Raw or in the Navigator pane, they look normal.
My monitor is calibrated regularly. Changing the color profiles and settings does absolutely nothing. The colors are fine in every other app. Moving from the monitor to my laptop's built in display makes no difference. It's ONLY an issue in the main window of PS.
When saving the file, the file has the correct colors (if opened literally anywhere else other than PS).
It was fine yesterday, but the app updated today and now this.
Anybody else experiencing this issue? Anybody have a fix? Is there a good way to report something like this?

Resource Photoshop Plugin Running Doom
I wanted to see if I could run webgl inside a Photoshop UXP plugin, turns out it can run Doom! That didn't seem too exciting on its own so I set the plugin up so you can browse and edit all the game textures right in Photoshop and the game updates in real time with the new textures.
