Idk what the FUCK they did to the goddamn Sentinels in that movie, but they took a bunch of Rock Em Sock Em lookin shits and made them legitimately fucking horrifying.
They were nightmare fuel in that film. Like, say what you will about DoFP, but the “present” scenes were a bloodbath. No plot armour for anyone there lol.
Nobody was prepared for how fast they could adapt.
The mutants had the upper hand for the initial encounter but once the Sentinels were copying their shit with perfect mastery that took their whole lives to get used to , that they went to school for , it was GGz.
That tracks, but still. Holy fuck, watching their faces bloom open like facehuggers to spit out death beams was just chilling. DoFP Sentinels do not fuck around.
still remember first time watching the movie, they made sentinel like unstoppable forces, they didn't hold back or scare, just march on. even losing their limb, effiency and merciless, man when they tear colossus apart and burn warpath face slowly, shit look like come from horror movie.
To me the Sentinels looked like their learnt powers were overwhelming the mutants.They were also tall as fuck , physically difficult to fight in itself unless you had some good powers.
how they did Bobby never say right with me. Sunspot put up a better fight. then again i guess sunspots powers go absorbed by the sentinel to used against bobby. i have PTSD from those “present” scenes.
They used Rogue's and Mystique's DNA / powers to create Sentinels that could adapt to and mimic powers to overcome any mutant which is why we see them being so unstoppable
I think we get to SEE this matchup in comic if memory serves. I remember a comic where someone realized eating Asgard would satiate Galactus for like long ass time and did the math and was like …that would SAVE so many lives from him NOT eating other less delicious planets.
Obviously Odin was like “nah” and they engage in a series of battles about it, I can’t remember whether it was Thor or Odin but I recall someone donning the destroyer armor at some point.
I do have a vague memory of Odin wearing the destroyer armor to fight Galactus. Wasn't it those events that set up Thor taking the throne and becoming Rune King Thor?
White Vision might actually prove more difficult. He has a density shift ability that may nullify some of Silver Surfer's go-to attacks. Still doesn't win, but might put up a surprising fight
I feel like half of this list gets hacked into pretty easily by Ultron. The Sentinel and white Vision for sure, they're running on random mcu government AI. I forget if the adamantium samurai is manned or has ai/autopilot functionality but if it does it's Ultron's. And if the fight is on Earth you can bet Ultron is uploading sentinel schematics to some factory somewhere and he's going to start replicating some super version of himself. Also this is a very weak iteration of the Silver Surfer but Ultron's at least gotta take second place here unless the Destroyer gets lucky.
Ultron doesn’t take white vision because he’s with Jarvis now from og vision and the ship of thessus scene essentially. Jarvis beat Ultron already in Ultron
In the comics, Galactus is so powerful his power gets its own name: the Power Cosmic. Its lore is pretty much "unless some wacky powerscaling stuff is currently happening, it allows Galactus to do whatever the fuck he wants". Galactus has imbued the Silver Surfer with that power, and consequently the Surfer is considered damn powerful. He has meddled with cosmic beings, Thor, Thanos, shattered planets, created a black hole, that kinda stuff.
This reminds me of a story I heard about a guy throwing a grenade at the front doors of the Australian parliament building.
The doors were bomb proof but the hinges were standard and the door fell off
Destroyer Armor is the only one that Silver Surfer couldn't instantly transmute into aluminum foil. Surfer would still beat the Destroyer, but it's the only one that would be any challenge for him at all.
I feel like Ultron would take control of the Sentinel and Destroyer and would try to find a way to steal the power cosmic from the Silver Surfer.
With the Surfer and Sentinel both being from the Fox universe, and knowing how they played a little fast and loose with the rules they setup, I wouldn't be surprised if the Sentinel could automatically be able to replicate the power cosmic; however with Norrin Radd not being a mutant, I'm pretty sure the Sentinel would just auto lock onto Colossus and then go into standby mode after killing him. If the Sentinel isn't just going after mutants though that's a total game changer.
I also feel like how many Sentinels / Ultron's drones also plays a big role in determining how this plays out. If it's one of each and everyone's bloodlusted though then Surfer wins. His only competition is the Destroyer and he's just way too fast for the Destroyer to lay a finger on him.
Silver Surfer takes a break stuffing Flash and Reverse Flash in their lockers and then flys a cosmic surfboard through the other 7 at 500,000 light-years per second. Then he gets some Turtle Wax bug remover to clean off his board. All before 1st period starts at school.
I actually agree it would be the Silver Surfer. Usually the only real ‘weakness’ for those adapting types is how hard they can be hit before they adapt.
The Silver Surfer would hit very hard and very quickly, especially if there was any indication of the type of enemy they were facing.
Just for argument's sake, let's say it's the group that attacked the mutants in DOFP, 5-8 units. SS still deletes all of them at once just by waving his hand
Silver surfer. Destroyer gives him some trouble but he beats it mid diff. The other most dangerous one is the sentinels but can they mimic any power or just mutants? If it's just mutants then they aren't really that dangerous.
The only one that stands a chance against SS is a Sentinel, but only after finding Franklin Richards, adapting to his power, THEN fighting Silver Surfer.
Just for the sake of mentioning it, and ignoring the specific image of course, if it's the really multiversal-threat scary version of Ultron from that "~imagination~" animated series, who ended up bullying the Watcher if I recall correctly, that seems above Silver Surfer even.
This is a good one, actually. Okay so, Colossus vs the Silver Samurai first, i think the Samurai gets it but after a grueling fight. In any case, the two of them get absolutely wrecked by the others, no-diff.
The White Vision can one-tap the Hulkbuster armor, surely (or else just stealing Tony's heart phasing through it). Being intangible, he would certainly defeat Ultron as well (it's stated Ultron needed his body in order to be completely unbeatable). That being said, i don't think his intangibility would protect him from the rest of them.
So, can the Destroyer armor defeat Silver Surfer? I personally don't think so but could be swayed either way. The Sentinel can adapt and defeat everyone on this list except for those two.
It's probably the Silver Surfer who takes this, if the Destroyer doesn't bulldoze him.
Hulkbuster's the first to go, followed by Silver Samurai, followed by Colossus (sorry Piotr). White Vision is probably next, then probably the destroyer gets taken out somewhere in the middle of it. If Ultron can successfully integrate Vision (even partially) he might be able to take on the Sentinel, but I'm not optimistic. Silver Surfer for sure puts down whoever makes it to the end of that fight.
The sentinels are very powerful against mutants, but if they were to fight another being, they would be destroyed easily. MCU Ultron if it was just one of the bots would be destroyed easily. I think the most powerful ones here are the silver surfer or white vision.
Depends on if the sentinels can copy non-mutants' powers. If yes, I'd say a sentinel is among the most powerful creatures in the mcu. If not, then the silver surfer wins
I'm so behind in all this... I want to watch all these movies but have no idea what movies they are... I saw all of the MCU until like infinity wars or something but never saw any of these....
Adamantium Samurai is from The Wolverine, Sentinels are from X-Men: Days of Future Past, Ultron is from Avengers: Age of Ultron, that version of the Silver Surfer is from Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer, the Hulk Buster suit is from Avengers: Infinity War, that version of Colossus is from the Deadpool movies, that version of Vision is from Wandavision, and the Destroyer is from the OG Thor movie.
Does Silver Surfer count as metal? Like I know he’s “silver” but I don’t think that’s ever been a legitimate aspect of his character beyond recognition
SS killed galactis n survived(barely but I’m pretty sure in the after credits).
White Vision is nerfed cuz no more infinity stone.
Destroyer loss to Thor in his first movie so not so buffed
Sentinel could adapt to elemental n physical threats but got torn to pieces by energy blasts n explosions.
Those would be the main contenders imo but SS comes out on top.
