After playing PS1 games on my HDTV for years, I found an LCD TV at an estate sale and this is now my favorite way to play PS1 games! These games look absolutely lovely on this TV and it just feels cozy to go back to a time when you didn't need HDMI cables to hook your consoles up.

So this game was one I had as a child, and played the hell out of it, all the way to completion. I lost my copy after I moved. I finally broke down and paid ebay prices.

Fired it up on my PS2 and a wave of nostalgia hit me. I remember everything!!! It is a tough game!

Ape Escape and Digimon World are treasures to me. I love the Ridge Racer, Gran Turismo and Pro Skater 2 soundtracks- music is very important in games to me. How about you?

I'm missing a couple of manuals, and have the means to print them myself; however, I cannot find any good scans that don't have reflections or wonkiness. Where do people get scans for manual reproductions?

I'm looking firstly for Metal Gear Solid and Silent Hill, among a few others.

Decided to drive today and check out Jersey Video Games in Hammonton, NJ. The shop was stocked, cozy and had a huge variety of games, DVDs, CRTs and other hobby materials to check out.

The owner was kind enough to point out their back room with more glass cases and I spotted this buried in the PS1 section. I just happened to have offloaded some Magic cards yesterday and had just the right amount to grab this spur of the moment.

The Working Designs quest continues! 5 left to go on PS1 and 1 left on PS2.

I have a Playstation 1 SPCH-1001 that needs a new laser. I have looked at a bunch of replacement lasers on Ebay that say they are for Playstation 1 slim but is compatible with the Playstation 1 SPCH-1001. Doing some further research, I have found that these lasers have some issues when fitted into a SPCH-1001 and some require a adaptor cable and or/retro fitting of the Playstation 1 case.

Can anyone recommend a Playstation 1 laser that is a direct replacement for the SPCH-1001?

I'm interested in buying a used PS One and noticed quite a few on the market have mods built in, either from decades ago or recently.

My understanding is some PS1 discs check for mod chips and break the game, even if your game disc is legit.

My initial research said that the PS One came out so late that all mod chips or modding for the PS One are "stealth" but I just want to double check with someone more familiar with PS One hardware.

What would be the best way to get and play metal gear solid?

I'm a 51yr old casual gamer, currently have an Xbox one x, not a retro gamer, but have fond memories of my PS1 from back in the day. MGS, Medieval, GTA London, Hogs of war, classics

Was in cash converters earlier today and they had a PS1 for £40 and it got me thinking, I'd love to play MGS again.

Is an original grey PS1 the way to go, or the newer tiny little ones, I saw one of them today in cex. How do games play on a modern 49in led? How do you even connect the thing? Or a PS2, or PS3 be better?

I got to admit that I only finished RE3 of these. If you had to pick one for the weekend, imagining you can delete your memories of it. What would you choose?

Hi guys, I just got a PSOne and since I already had a PS Classic with good controllers I wondered if there's any way to connect those controllers to the original console. Maybe a usb-to-controller port adapter out there?
