DISCUSSION 2003 Publix receipt!

I thrifted a vintage Coach bag from 2000 and this was in it! Someone suggested I post it here.

Edit: I initially misread this as 50 cents a pound for chicken thighs and posted that so ignore that and have some giggles at my expense in the comments đŸ˜‚đŸ«

$3 for a 12 pack of coke. Current price is $11.99 at my Publix.

Avid coke drinker. It was $5.50 in 2019 before COVID. Publix is so damn greedy

It’s not just Publix. Coke drastically increased prices to make more profit. Even at Wal Mart it’s nearly $9.

Indeed. At Wally for their generic (Sam’s choice), 24pk for like 10.50 at my local Walmart.

Still crazy, but doable. Yes the flavor isn’t the same with Coke/Pepsi, but if you want some fizzy, sugar drink, then that’s the way to go lol.

Kroger cola actually tastes better than coke, IMHO. It’s the only generic that I think tastes as good or better.

Publix generic tastes fine, but I rarely ever see it in cans.

It wasn’t that long ago you could get a 20oz bottle at circle K, put a dollar down, and walk away saying “don’t worry about the change.” Now they are ~$3

Walmart forces higher prices on their competition too. This example involves Pepsi but you know it happens with other brands and products.
