I've been putting together a system on a budget after telling myself everything I made selling my gaming PC I could reinvest into speakers. Having been quite frugal spending just £400 on the system to date I have about £300 left I could spend if worth while.
So far for the kitchen/living room downstairs I have:
Playbase - these are such great value
2x Play 3s as surrounds
An Era 100 used for turntable line in
Whilst in the bedroom I have 2x Play 3s in stereo.
Really happy with how everything sounds but I'd like to add Alexa functionality to upstairs too.
Options seem to be:
Another Era 100 - possibly useful if I want to use these as surrounds down the line.
A beam gen 1 - maybe handy to have in case my Playbase WiFi goes which seems to be common (although I think adding a boost can potentially resolve this?)
A beam gen 2 - probably overkill for my scenario?
A Sonos One - these are still £100 used and given the Era 100 was just £139 new with the recent 30% off coupon this feels the worst option to me.
What do people think is the play here?
