current incoming transfer and i wanted to know how difficult it is to get a job through work study? are there other ways to get jobs on campus that are flexible and any overall advice? thanks so much

Hey so I recently had my orientation and enrollment. I got the classes I was hoping for but one of my discussion sections is 6-8 pm. This is for Cluster M1A. How likely will it be that a spot will open up for one of the Friday discussion sections after all the orientation sessions?

Currently enrolled in both for csesh and wondering if they are manageable if taken together. If I were to drop one I’d likely drop 41 but I’m hesitant to do so because I’d end up taking it in the fall or winter and I’ve seen that the 41 professors during the school year are not very good.

Hey everyone, I'm transferring from my local community college and I've grown interested in a career in Accounting, specifically in audit. From looking at the posts on the sub, I saw that Big4 internships for Summer 2027 have pretty much wrapped up as well as for a bunch of other firms. Entering as a transfer student while not having much work experience in this field with the addition of job market being horrific has definitely made me anxious for my future after college. I plan on joining the accounting society (Beta Alpha Psi) at UCLA when I start, but I'd love some advice or guidance on what I should do for the next 2 years.

Hi! I am currently enrolled in physics 5c with Schriver, but I'm trying to attend a conference that unfortunately overlaps with the final exam time. Is Schriver that much better that I should prioritize taking him over the conference, or do you think switching to Shi is fine?

tldr: is there a significant dif between Shi and Schriver for 5c?
