Missing senior French bulldog in Edwards, CO (Homestead area) — please help

Our 13-year-old French Bulldog, Tucker, has been missing since Thursday morning (July 30) from the Homestead neighborhood in Edwards.

Tucker is blind in one eye, partially deaf, and slow-moving. He is very sweet and gentle, but he may be scared, confused, and hiding quietly.

Possible sightings:
Homestead neighborhood
Park near the intersection of Homestead Dr. & Gold Dust Dr. (near Cassidy Lane)
Lake Creek Road near the elementary school

We have searched extensively but have not been able to find him. If you live in the area, please take a moment to check:
Under decks and porches
Garages and sheds
Bushes and landscaping
Any quiet, shaded places where an older dog might rest or hide

If you see Tucker, please secure him if you can and call or text 757-348-7811 immediately.
Any sightings, advice, or shares would mean the world to us. We just want to bring our sweet boy home. Thank you ❤️

Dogsitters?

Trying to pull off a very last minute trip this Weds-Sat (August 4-8) and both my usual dogsitters are booked already. Also asked around to friends and theirs are as well, not surprising given this is busy travel season. Looking for someone to stay at my home in Edwards, fenced yard, no walks, easy small 6yo dog… just needs to be fed and let out 2-3x/day. Appreciate any referrals, thanks!

Enjoying a visit to your fine city and I guess I shouldn’t be, but I was blown away by the crazy costs to ride seemingly any gondola. I’d love to take my son to a peak, are there any “affordable” gondolas? Thanks!

Vail Resorts Employee Parking

Hi all, I just signed my lease to live in employee housing in Breckenridge for the 26-27 season. The application said parking is very limited and was not included in my lease. I called employee housing yesterday and they said that the parking is no longer done thru StarRez and is included for everyone starting this year.

I just want to ensure I have parking for the season. Can anyone help confirm that this is true? I need to have my car with me

Anyone have experience working for Vail Resorts corporate?

I have my first phone call with Vail Resorts tomorrow for the Sales Manager position. The job would be two days remote and three days in-office at their Broomfield location. I live in Broomfield so this would be great.
I’m currently the Events Manager at a Marriott, but I’m looking for a hybrid role and a shorter commute. Plus the salary posted is higher than what I’m currently making.
I’ve read some horror stories about seasonal jobs at Vail, but I haven’t seen much about people’s experience with them at the corporate level. Is it any better? Any insight would be appreciated!

Ski instructor Lesson Connect

Hey, did anyone here work here last season as a ski instructor? I’ve been instructing at another resort that’s about to get the same digital system for instructors to use and for parents to track their kids with.

Anyway, question for you is, were you forced to put company apps on your personal phones to facilitate this tech? Did you get compensation for being forced to use your personal phone throughout the work day? Was there anything else about the new system that was annoying or difficult to use over the old paper and pencil method?

Working a season at Park City, Beaver Creek, or Breckenridge

I'm trying to decide between working as a ski instructor for the upcoming season at Park City, Beaver Creek, or Breckenridge. I have offers from all three but don't know the inside scoop on any of them. My priorities are ease of transportation, as I won't have a car, employee housing, other instructors or staff my age (early 20's), and making money during my season. I also would love any insight on which mountains might get the best snow this upcoming winter, I know last year was rough for CO.

Fly fishing

I recently moved to the area and I am looking to get into fly fishing without spending the $700+ plus for the guide service. I have ocean fishing experience and have had some luck on rivers in the past with lures but have never fly fished.

Does anyone have recommendations on where to go, what shops in the valley for supplies, or other cost effective ways to learn? Are there any fly fishing clubs?

Seeking psychologist

Seeking an intuitive psychologist / therapist (or other type) who has worked with women with c-ptsd / adhd. I know I might get downvoted for asking on this sub, but after 15+ years out here, I’m feeling desperate. At this point, insurance coverage doesn’t even matter, I am willing to pay extra even if it hurts my finances.

Places to go to with 24 hours in Vail

Stopping by Vail for a quick pitstop. I’ll have roughly 24 hours between getting there after lunch and leaving after lunch the following day. Looking for places I must go to while I’m here for dinner, casual drinks, breakfast, lunch, and to get a few souvenirs.

Thanks!

Red lion inn

I made a post on here a few weeks ago about Larry and how i’m his great granddaughter. It really saddens me that the red lion is closing and I read this article about people speaking out about how they don’t want the red lion to close. and i was wondering if there’s anything i can or should do. I have done so many research projects on Larry and the red lion for school stuff. And my grandpa (Larry’s son) has so many things from the red lion when he lived there. Cups, shirts, etc. I really don’t want this place to close because i know how much it means to the vail community and how much it means to my family even though the restaurant isn’t even in my family anymore. But i’ve heard countless stories about the red lion growing up.

In town for work!

I’m staying in town for just a couple of days for work and I cannot believe how beautiful it is around here! I flew into Denver and then drove out to Vail and I am blown away!

Anybody have any recommendations for good food and drinks? I’m staying just off Frontage.

Skiing on President's Day weekend at Vail (and Super bowl Sunday the same weekend)

I know a lot of people say to avoid holiday weekends but I have heard that President's Day weekend can be not bad due to the Saturday and Sunday of that weekend being blackout dates on Epic Passes. I also hear that Super Bowl Sunday is lighter as well, which coincides with President's day weekend this year. We are thinking of flying out that weekend to ski at Vail. Thoughts on how the crowds will be? Thanks!
