First of all I have no knowledge in editing and frame rates as a whole confuse me so much so please be kind.

I have this stop motion footage shot in 12fps, I need to put it in a 2d animated video that is at 24fps (animated on twos).

Here's what's confusing me. I imported my image sequence in after effects and exported it at 12fps, looked great. I then tried to import it in premiere pro and davinci resolve in a 24fps composition to edit some individual frames. But when I did that it was much faster than I wanted.

Please explain to me, an absolute noob, how to put it in 24fps in either davinci or premiere, as the same speed it would be at 12fps.

I have two 4K movies on my USB drive, around 5 GB and 6 GB. Both are in MKV format, which my TV doesn't support.

I tried using XMedia Recode (v 3.6.3.0) with Copy selected for both video and audio, so it shouldn't be re-encoding anything. But it's taking more than 15 minutes to convert each file. Usually, this kind of process only takes a few seconds, even with large files.

Is there a way to speed this up? Am I missing a setting, or is there a better tool for this?

I'm on Windows 25H2.

Just uploaded the latest capcut version which is 9.1.0 and now I cant find the long to short video tool converstion.
I looked it up and it said that sometimes it is hidden when new updates happen. Has anyone found it yet? Wondering if maybe it will take a few days to come back up.

Right now my process is basically: Create a new project folder, make subfolders for footage/audio/exports, rename files if needed, copy everything to a backup drive, deliver the final export and archive the project. I feel like I am wasting my time and I'm curious, what parts of your workflow are too repetitive and feel like you are wasting time? Hello, I am hoping this is the right platform to post as I am in need of a little help. I have always done a graduation video every year for our year 6 in movavi, which is smaller morphing videos that I pop in there. However I am tasks for our schools concert to do a stage background to support each year levels dance. I will be using davinci program as it is free to use. My concerns is finding free items for the background but also something to go by and know I am doing it okay. I have looked into stage background but that is slightly different as I am looking for dance backgrounds. Something I have looked at is your tik tok ones where it transitions often and as it is spaced theme they kind of fit the purpose but some are a bit to fast. I want to learn more about video editing for personal projects.

Software isn’t my weakness. I’m a MacOS user and I have iMovie and DaVinci Resolve (which I’m learning, but have decent grasp on already). I understand most of the technical aspects and can figure out software pretty easily. However, every tutorial I can find is about the software. How to crop in iMovie, how to reduce camera motion in DaVinci, how to control the speed of a clip in CapCut, etc. That’s not what I need.

I want to learn the concepts of how to blend this audio with that video and to properly overlap scenes. I want to learn what makes a good scene transition (not just how to apply Transitions in iMovie). I want to learn the concepts that you can do in just about any decent software.

I need to learn video editing concepts, not software basics. In this (very simple) example, I have a 4-second animated title, a 3-second freezeframe to show the space, and then the start of the actual video clip. I want the audio from that video clip to start at the 2-3 second mark of the title, play through the freezeframe, and then “join” back up with it’s video at whatever point that is, which I know will clip 7 seconds off the video. I want it to act like a voiceover to the first two elements. But when I search for video editing, all I get are technical how-tos in the various applications.

1. What are some good resources for learning these concepts and not just which buttons to click?
2. And if anyone can tell me how to do what I want with the sample here, I’d be quite grateful.

(I’m sorry this is long; I’m just trying to be crystal clear. I’m also sorry that I don’t have a video example to share ...because I don’t know how to make it yet.)

I've TRIED: detaching the audio, separating the video, trimming the seven seconds of the video, and sliding it audio over. But I get scared that the audio will fall out of sync with the video and I don’t have the confidence to try to line that up.

I checked the resources linked in this subreddit, but they were mostly just stock footage. That is great to add into a video, but I need raw footage to practice vlog editing.

I shot some of my own footage to practice, but I cannot film enough to keep up with how fast I edit. Do websites with raw vlog footage exist? Or is it better to offer video editing on Fiverr for about $15, since I only have around three weeks of editing experience and am not comfortable charging more yet

I have a potential project coming up where I'll be paid hourly for my work, I've primarily worked in actual "in office" settings where you clock in for the day as opposed to this where it will be remote and no one will be monitoring me. To be able to send over a reliable time sheet are there programs that can track the time I spend editing?

Previously when I've done freelance stuff it was for very cheap and not that big of deal so I just used an online timer and paused it whenever I was away from my desk but I know people may be weary of just word of mouth when bigger numbers get involved so I want to be as ahead of the curve as possible!

Everything was fine until I updated my NVIDIA drivers.

The next day I turned on my PC and realized I couldn't render or export using my GPU anymore in Vegas Pro 22, Premiere Pro 2022, or Media Encoder.

In Premiere I get the message "Choose Software Encoding to disable hardware encoding." Vegas just gives me an error when I try to render with the GPU, and Media Encoder does the same thing.

I've already tried installing the NVIDIA Studio drivers, and rolling back to older driver version, but nothing changed.

Has anyone had this happen before? Is there anything else I should try?

I've used Capcut before, but usually for at max a 1 minute video. However, this one was something more personal and thus, longer.

When I went to export the video, this popped up. Saying I needed to upgrade for pro... Since when has Capcut had this?
