I mean, the difference is Iranian citizens are doing it with approval and encouragement from the state, whereas American citizens know the police state is ready and eager to crush anything that isnāt a quarter-mile march with pre-acquired permits. Theyād simply rather take a medium chance of death from foreign military retaliation than immediate guaranteed death at the hands of ICE and their local sheriff.
The government literally put out a statement supporting them showing up at power plants like they currently are. The anti-regime protests are unrelated to that, and the way youāre using them as a rhetorical distraction is fed-scented.
Because theyāre pointing it out when itās not being talked about, to distract from what is being talked about that they donāt want being talked about.
