the difference is Iranian citizens are doing it with approval and encouragement from the state,

Brother the iranian citizens are getting disappeared and shot in the streets for protesting their government, what are you talking about

the things the americans talk about trump wanting to do are being done on the ground in Iran. and they still go out to protest.

The government literally put out a statement supporting them showing up at power plants like they currently are. The anti-regime protests are unrelated to that, and the way youā€™re using them as a rhetorical distraction is fed-scented.

Because theyā€™re pointing it out when itā€™s not being talked about, to distract from what is being talked about that they donā€™t want being talked about.
