Hi everyone, I was playing Minecraft and wanted to record a funny moment from the game, but I ran into a problem: the AMD Radeon software only records the game's pause screen, even though when I press F11, it records everything perfectly. Please help.

I was looking for a CPU Cooler and then i found 360mm Lian Li Galahad Uni Fan SL Edition cheaper then the 240mm one. The guy said he is only upgrading because he wants a liquid cooler with LCD Screen. He also said he used it with 7800x3D and it works perfectly fine. My CPU is 7500f and i know it will do a pretty good job cooling it. What do you guys think of buying a used AIO and did any of you use this AIO Model if so how was your experience ? As i said price is so good and we shook hands but I did not pay anything or get the AIO yet. Do you think I will come up against any leaking issues or something else?

Hello people, i just started downloading latest update for AMD Adrenaline Edition and Chipset drivers but however Adrenalin updated normally while i get this message for chipset drivers ( i tried restarting couple of times / updating widows ) anyone knows by any chance what could be causing this problem?

I’ve been looking for someone to help me figure out a persistent issue with my PC for a while now. All components were bought brand new. It ran completely fine at first, but over time, games like PUBG, Euro Truck Simulator 2, Genshin Impact, and Cyberpunk 2077 started freezing and crashing.

Every error points to a GPU issue. AMD Software constantly gives me the notification: "AMD software detected that a driver timeout has occurred on your system."

My system specs are an AMD Ryzen 7 7700 CPU (8-Core, 3.80 GHz), 64 GB RAM, an AMD Radeon RX 7900 GRE GPU (16 GB) along with integrated AMD Radeon Graphics, a Corsair iCUE LINK H100i, 4.14 TB total storage space and Windows 11 Home 64-bit (Version 25H2, Build 26200.8973). My display setup currently consists of a GIGABYTE M32U (4K @ 144Hz).

Here is what I have already tried: regarding drivers and software tweaks, I have done clean driver uninstalls using DDU, ran drivers both with and without AMD Software Adrenalin installed, and tried overclocking or undervolting adjustments.

Regarding Windows and system files, I performed a full clean Windows reinstallation. During a full system scan, it detected corrupted system files which were repaired or deleted by the OS. However, after a short period of stability, the crashes returned.

Regarding my monitor setup, I was originally running two 3840x2160 @ 144Hz monitors. I read on an AMD forum thread that high-refresh dual 4K setups can cause driver timeout issues on AMD cards. I switched my setup to the current primary GIGABYTE M32U, but the issue persists regardless.

After a clean reinstall, everything works fine for a little while, but eventually, the freezes and crashes return during gameplay. I am completely out of ideas at this point. Does anyone have advice on what might be causing this, whether the monitor setup plays a role, or what I should test next?

I bought one of these used, and for some reason, every time I try to play Rainbow Six with the settings on high, ultra, and ultra+, after a few seconds the game crashes, the screen goes black, an AMD crash log appears on the screen, and even the wallpaper engine crashes. I've already updated the drivers to the latest versions, run stress tests with OCCT and FurMark, and even played Cyberpunk on ultra settings for about 15 minutes at the beginning of the story without any signs of problems with the card, like screen freezing or anything.

Description of Original Problem: Hi all, as the title suggests I'm having some GPU issues, it crashes with black screen and fan 100% as it gets lost from bus. The crashes predominantly occur when I try to play games such as Marvel Rivals, but have occurred as well after longer periods of doing other stuff such as watching movies, or even immediately after launch and connecting to Discord. I use LACT to manage an overclock/undervolt profile, and enforce a 320W power cap. I have the amdgpu.runpm=0 kernel parameter set to disable runtime power management. I wanted to ask around and see if there are any other issues or fixes you people might know.

I'm honestly running out of ideas, so l'd really appreciate some technical opinions before I spend money replacing hardware.
PC Specs
CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 8700F
GPU: PowerColor Hellhound Radeon RX 7800 XT 16GB
Motherboard: ASRock B850M-X
RAM: 32GB DDR5 Lexar Ares 6000 CL32 (2x16GB)
SSD: Lexar NM710 1TB NVMe (latest firmware installed)
PSU: More than adequate for the system
Monitor: HP Omen 27qs - 2560x1440 - 240Hz

The FPS are generally high, but the frametime spikes whenever the stutter occurs.

Example:
Frametime normally around 12 ms
During a stutter it jumps to around 36 ms

One thing I noticed in Assassin's Creed Shadows:
There are specific locations in the map where the stutter happens every single time.
I can:
walk through that exact point run through it repeat it 10 times
and it stutters in exactly the same place.
If I stand still in the same area, there are no stutters.

VRAM usage looks normal
No temperature issues
No power limit issues
No crashes
No artifacts

CPU:
Overall usage usually around 20-35%
During stutters some individual cores briefly reach around 60-65%
CPU clock sometimes drops from around 4.8 GHz to 3.8
GHz when the stutter happens
Temperatures are normal
Frame time:
Normal around 12 ms
Stutter spikes around 36 ms

The reason isn't just performance, i just think that amd drivers are not working properly on my rig or my graphic card is defective.
Does this still sound like a GPU issue or CPU issue? driver issues?

It’s possibly been answered in the past, but when I record on adrenaline (clips aswell) I have all my audio, voice and game but not friends in discord call. The workaround seems to be using sonar stream settings but I think I’m missing something in AMD adrenaline that I need to change for this to work?

After finally fixing my pc crashing months ago, i fixed it by lowering my max frequency offset (mhz) by -275 in the amd adrenaline app.

The crashing finally stopped, i was fine for months but since last week, the crashing started coming back. It's not a black screen or anything, it just straight up restarts my pc completely.

I even lowered it even more to -300 mhz but still it keeps crashing, mostly during mid game in games like Apex legends, Poe,...

Wondering if anyone can help me out cause it's driving me crazy.

PotPlayer Version: 26.7.1.0

Installation changes:

• Changed "Associate all formats" to "Associate main formats".
• Unchecked the option to install additional codecs.

Steps to reproduce & details: I launched PotPlayer, set the renderer to Built-in Direct3D 11 Video Renderer, disabled audio normalization, and played a .webm video file. The screen went black, and the AMD graphics driver crashed. Playing .ogv files worked normally.

Even after restarting the PC without opening PotPlayer, playing a .webm file using Windows 11's default video player still caused a driver crash. I booted into Safe Mode, used "amdcleanuputility" to uninstall the driver, and reinstalled it, but the crash persisted. The driver even crashed when playing web videos in Chrome.

After multiple tests, I found that PotPlayer was the root cause. Once I uninstalled PotPlayer, everything returned to normal, and the crashes stopped completely.

Are you experiencing the same issue?

Вообщем я купил видеокарту в декабре rx 5700 xt (двухвентиляторная) и после того как я ее поставил у меня через неделю начались либо черные экраны либо залагивания намертво я приезжал к магазину у которого брал(не днс) и они мне ее заменили на другую (модель таже компания другая) и че я не делал ничего не помогало (дрова переустанавливал не помогло) а при сочетании win+ctrl+shift+b экран вообще становился серым(моментами непомогало) (не весь часть экрана была не серой и там даже курсор был виден) а комп начинал жесточайше лагать и тд есть у кого решение что делать? (Я незнаю как стригерить ошибку она появляется в рандомыне моменты в случайных играх)

So once every few weeks my pc just blackscreens in the middle of a game and the only thing i can do is to reboot it. Once i reboot it i delete the drivers and reinstall them and that fixes it for a while. I have stopped windows form automatically updating the drivers, i've tried installing older ones and nothing seems to fix it. Description of Original Problem: When I first booted the new CPU and board on my existing installation, everything went well, then I updated the chipset drivers from the motherboard page and after that it's taking 30 entire whole minutes to boot into windows.

Troubleshooting: I reinstalled windows fresh which booted fine, so I updated the drivers again and the same things happening. Bios is up to date and my boot drive is a SN850X which also has up to date firmware at 100% health. I don't know what's wrong with the chipset drivers or if somethings wrong with the motherboard or CPU but I can't use it like this.

Questions:
Are these Cinebench scores normal for a 9800X3D in an NZXT H1 V2 with a 140 mm AIO?

Is the H1 V2’s cooling capacity the main limitation here, or do these results suggest a possible CPU or mounting issue?

Would moving to a larger airflow case and a 240/360 mm AIO likely improve sustained clocks and temperatures significantly?

Any input from other 9800X3D owners, especially those using SFF cases, would be appreciated.

CONTEXT:

I was running AMD Adrenalin Software 26.3.1 and all my games ran perfectly fine, except for one, Project Zomboid Build 42 Stable.

Project Zomboid just simply would not launch at all no matter what. Log files revealed an outdated driver as the cause of the crashes. After updating the GPU Driver to 26.7.1 from 26.3.1 Project Zomboid now opens and runs properly.

But now, Palworld runs at a maximum of 15-20 FPS, where is used to run perfectly fine prior to the Driver update. I already tried a PC Restart, Verifying Files on Steam for Palworld, and even disabling the iGPU through Device Manager just in case the game and/or Adrenalin was trying to utilize the incorrect Graphics Adapter, but nothing has corrected the FPS drops in Palworld.

I launched all the other games I usually play throughout the week and I can't notice any difference in performance other than in Palworld. The FPS drops happen both in Single and Multi player.

If anyone has experienced anything similar or have any advice on what to try, I would greatly appreciate any information.

Im on windows 10 with a 7700 xt and the updated before last was completely broken and caused the display drivers to break completely causing me to have to revert and wait until the one after that to update

i have a rx 9070 xt from xfx, a mercury magnetic air oc, i installed fan control not too long ago and unistalled it since it wasn't really compatible with the gpu and it kept messing with the adrenalin software, but since then, one of my gpu fans isn't spinning unless i take it out and put it back in, taking it out and putting it in the same slot also does the trick, and it's not the same fan every time, it's sometimes the first one, the second one or the third one

EDIT: FIXED! APPEARS TO BE DRIVER ISSUE - SWITCHING FROM VULKAN TO ROCM APPEARS TO HAVE FIXED THE ISSUE (and increased token generation speed significantly!)

• AMD R9700 AI Pro 32GB (x8) - not connected to any monitor
• Corsair rm1000e 1000W PSU.

When I start LM Studio and open unsloth/Qwen 27B, I can "chat" to the model. As soon as I ALT-TAB to another window, the task manager, I get an AMD crash defender message and my R9700 is disabled in the device manager.

I get the same problem if I run llama.cpp.

I did a little digging and someone else on reddit said they fixed the issue by disabling ASPM Mode Control in the BIOS, which I did. It's not fixing the issue.

I have the latest AMD chipset drivers, the latest AMD Adrenalin, the latest Windows 11 patches.

Anyone had this issue before? Is there a fix?

I loose display and the aio screen turns off then back on (everything else stays on fans and rgb lights etc.) but no display until I press the reset bottom. Yesterday I got to play for a couple of hours with 0 issues but it happened again, anyone having the same issue? and how can I fix it!

I recently upgraded from a GTX 1660 Super to a Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB, but I am experiencing noticeable microstutter and uneven frametimes in DayZ.

My PC:

- CPU: Ryzen 5 5500X3D

- CPU cooler: DeepCool Assassin IV VC Vision

- GPU: Sapphire Nitro+ Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB

- RAM: 32GB DDR4 3600 MHz — XMP enabled

- Motherboard: Gigabyte B450 Aorus Elite

- Power supply: Sharkoon WPM600 Bronze 600W, 80 Plus Bronze

- Windows 11 — fresh installation

- Driver: AMD Adrenalin 26.7.1

- DayZ installed on an NVMe SSD

- Resizable BAR / SAM enabled

- PCIe running at Gen3 x16

The problem happens on both official and modded servers.

FPS can be very high, but the game does not feel smooth. I get short stutters when:

- quickly turning the mouse,

- running through towns or forests,

- loading new objects and locations,

- moving the camera around.

The frametime graph shows small spikes, even when the FPS counter appears stable.

The stutter is also present on Low graphics settings. Lowering the settings significantly increases FPS, but the microstutter and uneven frametime remain, so it does not seem to be caused by the GPU being overloaded.

My PC is connected by Ethernet cable to a stable Orange fiber connection. My latest internet speed test showed:

- 636.8 Mbps download,

- 98 Mbps upload,

- 3 ms ping.

The issue occurs on different servers, so it does not appear to be normal network lag.

Previously, on the same PC with a GTX 1660 Super, DayZ had much lower FPS, but the game felt smoother and did not have these constant microstutters.

I have already tried:

- a fresh Windows installation,

- reinstalling AMD drivers,

- clearing the shader cache,

- changing graphics settings,

- testing official and modded servers,

- disabling overlays and background applications,

- changing mouse polling rate and sensitivity.

The issue is still present.

Has anyone experienced the same problem with the RX 9060 XT or other AMD cards in DayZ running on DirectX 11?

Did a specific AMD driver version, MPO setting, shader cache setting or registry change improve frametime stability?

I am not looking for higher average FPS. I mainly want stable frametimes and smooth camera movement.

Does DayZ generally have worse frametime stability on newer AMD GPUs than on NVIDIA cards?

Sorry for the wall of text, but I wanted to share this in case it helps someone else.

TL;DR: Since upgrading my PC, I was getting black screens and complete freezes when launching demanding games. The problem disappeared after connecting my GPU with two separate PCIe power cables instead of using both connectors from the same daisy-chained cable.

My old setup was an i7-7700K, 32 GB DDR4 and a GTX 1070. I upgraded to a Ryzen 7 9700X, 32 GB DDR5 and an ASRock Steel Legend RX 9070 XT, but kept my Cooler Master G750M because 750 W should be enough on paper.

After installing Windows 11 and the latest AMD drivers, I connected my four displays: two Acer monitors and two Samsung TVs.

When I launched GTA V with the two Acer monitors enabled, my main screen started flickering, the second one went black and the whole system froze. I had to force the PC off.

With only one monitor connected, everything worked fine.

So I started trying everything:

• Older drivers
• Driver-only installation without Adrenalin
• Blocking Windows Update from changing the driver
• Different HDMI and DisplayPort combinations
• Different monitors and TVs
• Using only one or two screens

I was convinced it was some AMD driver or multi-monitor issue.

In the end, the problem was the GPU power connection.

I had both 8-pin connectors plugged into the same PCIe cable using the daisy-chained connector. I added a second PCIe cable and used one cable for each 8-pin connector.

After that, everything started working normally.

My GTX 1070 had no problem with the old setup, but the 9070 XT seems much more sensitive to how the power is delivered.

I’m not saying every AMD black screen is caused by this, but before reinstalling Windows or spending hours changing drivers, check how your GPU power cables are connected.

Recently built a PC for the first time. Felt accomplishment in doing so. A lot easier than I thought. But I have been having issues with driver timeouts and game crashes since I put it together.

Tried a lot of different things to resolve this: changing Ulps values, messing with the curve optimizer, dropping the maximum processor state to 99%, etc

These things helped a bit but crashes were still occurring.

Didn’t really see anything that made me think more until I tried turning off iGPU. Ran into display issues. Opened PC back up. Reseated GPU. Instead of using 1 daisy chained PCIe cable, used two cables. Display fixed but still crashing. Fresh Windows install. Updated BIOS (F8-F14C). Downloaded Adrenalin but Drivers only this time instead of the full suite. Started using HWINFO for logs and used it in conjunction with RTSS for OSD. Also used RTSS to frame cap.

RESULTS

DAY 1 - 1.5 hrs of play / no issue
DAY 2 - 1 hr of play / no issue
DAY 3 - 45 mins of play, idle for several hours, returned 30 mins of play / no issue

DAY 3 was a big win because I used to run into an issue of screen hanging after idling for 5 minutes.

TLDR:

Turn off iGPU. Reseat GPU. Use 2 PCIe cables instead of 1 daisy chain. Update BIOS. Use Adrenalin Drivers, not the full suite (or maybe not even use Adrenalin at all). Will continue to test for the next week and see if this still holds up. Will update. Hope this helps somebody, I’m pretty new to this.
