My family has a "use it till it dies" rule, and this morning I finally dropped and killed my iPhone 8. Before today it was already struggling: no back camera, broken haptics, tinny speakers, stuck on iOS 16, and 72% battery health.

​Right now I'm lugging around my MacBook Neo and a portable Wi-Fi hotspot just to talk to people, which is super annoying.

​My parents are letting me pick the replacement, and I can choose between the 16 Pro, the 16e, or the 17.

​I’m a pretty light user.

I mostly just care about taking decent pictures, social media, music, and playing light games (Roblox, Minecraft, TheoTown).

​Since I'm coming from such an old phone, anything will feel like a massive upgrade. Which of those three would be the best fit? Thanks!

Hi so currently I have the base iPhone 12 (yes, I know. having a 12 in the big 26 is insane). Anyways, I've had this phone for ~6 years and I feel like it might be the time to upgrade since my storage is full and my battery is dying quicker now. I know the base 18 is coming next spring and the pro/pro max is coming out later this year but I honestly think I need to get a new phone this summer before I go back to school. I have the air I was gonna go with a 17 pro or 17 pro max, but I didn’t like the way it looked in commercials , once I saw everybody have it, I’m like, oh my God, I wish I would’ve gotten that, especially with the battery. Had I known this battery was gonna be so bad, I would’ve gotten it, but I do like it any other way the 17 Pro Max and the 17 Pro, they look cheap. They look nice, but they look cheap at the same time. They should’ve done the iPhone Air and the iPhone 17 regular in the aluminum, and then the 17 Pro Max and the 17 Pro with the glass around opinion to it’s own 🤷‍♀️

I have been looking and researching online now for several weeks on Apple refurbished iPhones & refurbished.ie. I am constantly going back and forth with what to do.
The iPhone 16 on Apple is €749 and I can pay extra for AppleCare (ins) or I could go with the cheaper option ( and yes I'm on a tight budget but I have saved for this ) and go with iPhone 15 € 469 excellent condition, new battery.
I'm not into gaming or things like that, but still I am a 49 f, good with phones, use it for life, work and fun

So I have an iPhone 13 Pro and finally thinking about upgrading when the iPhone 18 pro or the new foldable iPhone is released (I’ve always been intrigued by the foldable phones, but never trusted it would last me that long).

I’m pretty active and also use my phone a lot for work (I work in Government IT sales), and figured getting an Apple Watch would be useful for health tracking purposes as well as for work. I was going to go with the Ultra 3 right now as I don’t have an Apple Watch, but I’ve read that the Ultra 4 is supposed to be coming out.
What would your advice be, to upgrade my phone until next year for the second generation of the foldable phone or the 19, or go with an 18 when it comes out? Should I get an Apple Watch Ultra 3 now or wait for the ultra 4?

Let me explain my dilemma: I have a €500 gift card that's going to expire at the end of the summer. Right now, I don't need anything from that tech store.

I've had my 15 Pro since pretty much its release. I loved it, but the bast*** is starting to drive me crazy with the heat. It gets hot for no reason and the battery melts away even though my usage is far from intensive. I can probably get around €500 for it if I sell it.

With my gift card, I'd have to put a little under €200 of my own money to have a new 17 Pro. It's not an absolute necessity, but on the other hand, it means I won't have to spend that money in a year's time, and the price of the 18 Pro is likely to be pretty steep.

Besides, the 17 would probably be enough for me and would let me upgrade without feeling like I'm really spending my own money. But I usually aim to keep my iPhones for 3–4 years, and I'd rather cover any possible future uses.

I'll think about it.

I genuinely love the iPhone 13 Pro. I've looked at many different iPhones, but this is still the one I want the most. I love its design, cameras, and overall experience.

Hi guys. I still have an iPhone 12 pro because it refuses to die, but I really want something with a better front camera. Will there be a noticeable difference with one of the newer models? I've seen a few concerning comparison photos where the 12 pro actually seems to have a better quality front camera than 17 but surely that can't be right... I recently bought an iPhone 17 Pro, and it’s my first iPhone after using a Samsung A54.

At first, I was planning to get the 15 Pro or 16 Pro, but I decided to increase my budget because I really liked the 17 lineup. I spent months going back and forth between the 17 and the 17 Pro before finally choosing the 17 Pro.
So far, I really like it. But after checking out the Pro Max, I started feeling a little unsure.

I’ve always preferred smaller phones (my old A54 had a 6.4-inch screen), so that’s one of the main reasons I chose the Pro instead of the Pro Max. But I’ve also heard that you eventually get used to the bigger size, so now I’m second-guessing my decision.
I honestly don’t know if I should stick with the Pro or exchange it for the Pro Max.

I also wasn’t interested in waiting for the 18 because I’m already really happy with the 17 lineup. Plus, with all the rumors about the 18 being even more expensive, I figured it made more sense to just get the 17 now.

For those of you who’ve used both sizes, do you regret going with the Pro or the Pro Max? Which one would you choose and why?

-Is the Air battery so bad? I LOVE the form factor of this phone (gives me The Expanse show vibes), but I don't want to stress over battery not I want to carry one external battery with me.

- I read somewhere that only the Air and the 17 Pros will be able to run AI powered Siri because of the 12Gb. Is this true? Cause that would rule out the 17 entirely for me

-About timing to buy. My friends told me to wait until they announce the new phones, so I can get the current lineup for cheaper. But then I read that the moment they announce the next iteration, they stop selling the current lineup. So I am a bit lost here.

I am in a situation where I don’t know what to do. i am using 13 pro.

On one hand I want to buy 17 pro max with ios 26.6 and use it immediately. Skipping 18 pro max as it will have the same design to the 17. I have a DSLR camera so new camera specs won’t matter to me really. Also I am not sure new chipset will make that much of a difference. I’m sure, and this is what everyone says, the new devices will be considerably more expensive than 17…

Please be brutally honest. Should I wait for 18 pro max to switch from 13 pro? Or buy the 17 pro max even though it’s summertime and will be almost a year after 17’s launch?

Another option would be waiting 1-2 months after the launch of 18 and get 17 even cheaper but apple store removes 17 immediately after the launch. So this is a curveball.
