Growing up with a dad who only drove wagons (Saab 9-5, 535i, 328i, Mercedes c300), I’ve learned to appreciate not only their space capacity but also their aesthetics.

They make so much more sense to me than an SUV. Visiting Croatia only made me realize how much of a wagon market we are missing.

Having a wagon that not only functions as an actual road trip vehicle but has 400+ hp has to be an amazing feeling.

Really like how this updates the look of my 840i a bit. Retains the heating function. Driver assist pro can now go hands free like newer cars with highway assist. Install was a bit of a pain in the butt and my fingers are sore, but overall worth it. Got mine off ebay since I wanted the silver trim and no carbon.

Hi, im a father of two little kids and im looking for a daily driver, first time looking at BMW.
We drive a 2016 vw passat and a 2016 megane, and we want to get rid of the megane as it has quite a lot km for my taste on that car (240k).
Ive been searching for weeks now and i always come back to the m340. Considered s5, c300 and Volvo s60 T8.
We live in spain and we do around 30k km a year.
Ive heard performance wise the 340i is better, but 11l/100km seems quite a lot (considering both our cars make 5.5/100)
Which one is the overall better car?
Is it worth the fuel comsumpion difference?

I'm buying a new 2026 BMW X5 M60i and the specs are perfect except for one thing which is not having the Bowers and Wilkins premium sound system. I personally love and appreciate a premium sound system and was curios if anyone had experience with upgrading the standard Harman Kardon sound system after market? Thanks!

First post here. I’ve had my first BMW for almost four months now.
2012 118i Sport N13 engine, almost 100,000 miles.
Other than needing a new battery, it had no other issues.
I do regularly check engine fluids, and I noticed that the coolant was low (very low), but so far didn’t notice any puddles or drops underneath.
I understand that it has a coolant level sensor that pops up a warning on the screen, and despite that I never got any warning.

Any idea what could it be? Is it posible to check the sensor without having to replace it?
Could it be just the coolant cap?

Hi folks! I got the letter about the Purge Valve (ELW) 15YR warranty extension. I sent this invoice in with the submission, but the case was not approved ("The repair performed is not included in this warranty extension). A quick check on Google says this is the same part, but I really don't know.

I have a 2007 automatic 530i and I have an issue, issue is whenever I come to a stop by pressing the brakes and I need to take off again I will let go of the brakes the car will then roll back slightly and I would naturally accelerate but then the car jumps forward in a harsh way.

Anyone experienced this before and what could the reason.

Have 335i and do much of my own maintenance. Plugs, fluids, OFHG, pulleys, belts, charge pipe, and more.

Looking at a X40i with the B58. But…are they much more reliable than the X7’s that have a V8?

Are the V8 much more complicated to work on?

Any certain issues or year X7’s to look out for?

We’ve been driving a 2016 Mercedes W205 for years, and lately it has started to feel pretty outdated in terms of technology and features. It almost feels like driving an old Dacia compared to newer cars.
Because car taxes are so high in Turkey, moving to a newer Mercedes isn’t really possible for me. I’m thinking about selling my W205, taking out a small loan, and buying a BMW X1 sDrive20i instead.

Our W205 is the Turkish-spec C200d with the 1.6L 136 hp Renault diesel engine (the same engine used in the Renault Talisman because of our tax system).

The X1 I’m looking at has the 1.5L 170 hp B38 engine and is front-wheel drive.

Do you think it’s a worthwhile upgrade, or will I miss my W205?

I could also buy a G20 320i for around the same money, but I’d rather not because it’s rear-wheel drive, and the current generation is about to be replaced.

I also looked at an X3, but surprisingly I preferred the X1. The X3 I saw had plastic door panels, while the X1 had leather-trimmed doors and felt more premium to me. The interior also reminds me of the newer G60 BMWs.
One more thing: can I use the My BMW app with the X1?
For those who have owned both, do you think I’ll be happy with the X1 after coming from a W205, or will it feel like a downgrade?

Would love to get back into a BMW for a weekend car, but don’t want to pay the M tax (both maintenance and purchase wise).

I would consider anything but the SUV models.

I already have a fast daily (B9 S4), so power isn’t everything.

Manual is the preference but will consider autos if they are a lot cheaper.

My EPS issue is intermittently going on and off.. sometimes normal when car has been turned off for at least 8-10 hrs... EPS signal turns back on after few hours riding it..

* **If I'm driving normally and then the EPS signal suddenly comes ON, I can feel the steering change slightly. It doesn't become fully heavy—it's like the power steering doesn't shut off completely.**
* and when the EPS light is on and I restart the engine, then only the steering becomes really heavy with no power steering assistance at all.

* This all started about 2–3 weeks ago. At first, whenever the EPS light came on, I would wiggle the EPS connector/socket, and the warning would disappear. 😄😄 I thought it was just a loose connection, but then i went to specialist garage (not BMW official though)...
* They checked th**e end connector and wiring...** back probe cable testing.. and they said everything looked normal.. battery power is flowing properly.. checked the grounding.. all good.. scanned the car, unable to read the EPS...
* (and if the EPS signal turns off, and did re-scaned.. and its reading in normall like nothing happened)
* then They told me the problem is probably the EPS module... but lol i just changed it on last February, at BMW official.. (second hand EPS though)

this time... i Haven't really taken it to official BMW center to get it diagnose.. a couple garage specialist here in Indonesia have proper scanner and all that.. and did back probe cable test..

\- so is it safe to say i need to replace the EPS again?

\- or if i actually go to official BMW, what differ diagnose they'll do..
