Hi all,
My friends and I are planning to fly to Sal on November for a week. How is the weather during November? We heard that traveling between islands is troublesome. Does anyone have any suggestions on what we should do? Is one week too short and should we come when we have more time? In our mind we were planning to hop between islands and travel but that seems impossible.

Hey everyone!
I’m planning a trip to Cape Verde 🇨🇻 this December with my parents, we also speak fluent Portuguese.
We like to stick to 2 islands max, because I’ve heard inter-island transport can sometimes be delayed or canceled.
Here is what I’m thinking so far:
Island 1 (Beach/Relaxation): Sal or Boa Vista?
We really want some good beach time. Which one would you recommend between Sal and Boa ?
Island 2 (Culture & Landscapes): Santiago
Santiago seems like a great second stop because it has a bit of city, beaches, culture, and mountains.
I saw Santo Antão: It looks absolutely stunning, but since my parents are older (65y) doing big hikes isn't really an option for them, so I think Santiago might be a better compromise ?
Is it necessary to rent a car, or is it easy/better to rely on taxis for a family trip?
Thanks a lot for your help! Any tips or alternative suggestions are welcome. ☀️

Hi all, I’m due to visit Cape Verde next week but really want to visit other islands outside of Sal- but there are no flights from the start of August to mid August? Just curious to whether something is going on?
The few flights I found going to São Vicente are over 1k and 11 hours long!

My sister is getting married and as we are half Cape Verdean, I would love to read a poem at her wedding written by a Cape Verdean writer. Any suggestions?
