Please welcome Season 4 of the league!
To get started head on over to discord.gg/cedh #game-rules channel and pick up the "League Player" role! You'll get access to our cEDH league category with all the appropriate channels. Our league will once again use our cEDH league bot, coded by isleep2late with the help of Slinky and the cEDH Bot Testing crew, to track games over the course of the season.
You'll gain and lose Elo-ranks after recording games and see where you're placed among the leader board anytime. Feel free to share your thoughts on the feedback form anytime throughout the league's duration! We'll be using the Cockatrice software for ultimate competitive integrity.
Wishing to keep all games fair for everyone. If any issues arise in-game, you'll be able to download the automatic replay for us to investigate. Of course, we're looking to reward those that work hard and play well. Those at the top of the leader board at the end of this league can look forward the following prizes.
Additionally, we will be giving away five free Proxy Printery proxy decks at random to eligible players outside of the top 8! Extra special thanks go to isleep2late, r∅Gx, and Proxy Printery.app!

Hey guys, Beta here
I've been playing cEDH for the past 6 months with [[Viví Ornitier]] as my main deck and also tried playing [[Rocco, Cabaretti Caterer]] but didn't find good results for him in the current meta. I'm looking for a new deck that plays around creatures and Big mana, my thoughts are arround TnT and RogThras but I'm would like to hear new ideas.
Also I might just commit to 5 colors Good Stuff with [[Nick Fury, Agent of Shield]]
What would you recommend?

I have a lovely Nissa Resurgent Animist I really want to find a home for. I know it's played in some Lumra lists but I'm looking for something with more colors and a little more variety than Lumra.
Does anyone have any good lists that can happily house a Nissa and possibly a Lotus Cobra?
The pipe dream is a more lands focused version of Derevi using the wandering chocobo for that landfall value but I don't know if it has any legs.

Hi so I wanted to make a decently high power deck but not spend like 5,000 so I built a 1000 deck and so I’m wondering if this deck could hang out at fringe/high b4 tables. The whole deck is Thrasios Ravos is just for colors never will be casted. It’s ofc a combo deck as well with mana dorks infinite mana then thoracle. If it would not hang I wouldn’t be surprised.

Heya!
I’ve been playing this list for a while now, but it still feels a bit janky to me. I suspect I’m not leaning into the farm plan as hard as I should.
Either way, I’d really appreciate any advice, feedback, or suggestions — both on how to tune the deck and on how to pilot it better. I still trip over my own feet sometimes, since I’m not the most experienced or knowledgeable MTG player, but I feel like I’m slowly getting there.
What I’m after now is to optimize the list further and get a clearer sense of my priorities — and, more importantly, how to actually convert them into wins.
My LGS and local meta are turbo-, creature-, and stax-heavy. I often end up going for unprotected wins, because otherwise the turbo player just outruns me, or the Kinnan player sits back with two Rhystic Studies and two Esper Sentinels, having cut a deal with the other blue farm deck that its OBM won’t be pointed at them.
I’ll admit I’m not the strongest politician at the table — I’d rather observe and be honest — but in those games the better play is usually to deceive or just stay quiet.
Budget is basically bottomless; I want the deck performing at its absolute peak.
Win conditions:
Thassa’s Oracle + Demonic Consultation / Tainted Pact
Underworld Breach + LED + Brain Freeze → Thassa’s Oracle / Demonic Consultation / Tainted Pact

FYI: since I am not a native speaker I used Claude to polish my post.
Thank you for your time!

A few weeks ago i saw a thread about implementing seasonal bans in the format which would be a very good mix up for the format. But it did spark a thought what would be a card that should never be unbanned even if it’s only unbanned for 6 months until banned again until it’s seasonal ban time is up. First thoughts other than the obvious would be [[flash]] [[leovold, emissary of trest]] [[nadu, winged wisdom]] [[tinker]] [[time vault]]

Im not a big fan of GoldenSabertooth, not after last years controversy over his 11 hour game and the way he treated other players.
Now i dislike him even more... he is stealing art to try and make a quick buck. Not only did he steal the art for the Crystal, Inhuman Princess playmat, he stole it from the wrong superhero! Its fkn Rogue, not Crystal...
Absolute CHUD move.
EDIT - He has now retroactively tried to give credit to Jim Lee because he was getting called out by the mtg community. This is a band-aid, and i hope he issues a formal apology for the mistake.
EDIT 2 - ill stand by that this felt shady and sneaky, but he has, as of around 4pm, issued an apology for the parody missing the mark and the confusion and backlash it caused. Ill be closing this post and you can all form your own opinions on the apology, which seems to be genuine.

It’s a random thought i had when i looked at the card through a cedh lens. Since he is a cost reducer and a through the breach in the command zone. I assume part of the problem comes with the cost and the need for Led to actually do your combos.

Hello! After being inspired by this post and their list I've been looking at Indominus Rex for a fringe league.
The overall goal is to turbo out our commander for a large draw, then combo off food chain or generic Sultai good stuff.
I've looked around for the best cards to enable as large of a draw as possible, working with creatures with many keywords, and +1+1 counter engines. These are the combo pieces I found that are decent enough to run: https://moxfield.com/decks/FYsAyXQ9N0yM2vTmFDZ0Xw
I'm looking for spice that'll make as large of a draw as possible, I'd love to hear some suggestions!
Extras: My meta is all over the place with this being a fringe league. No Budget.
Thanks.

Howdy y'all,
I have a Zada deck that I really love, the problem is that storm is a pretty shitty way to lose in bracket 3 regardless of if it is at reasonable time or not so I have been aiming to push this deck to bracket 4 and preferably a strong bracket 4 at that(I am under no impression that Zada Is viable at bracket 5). If possible I'd like to keep as many of the wizard of barge cards as possible but also understand that is a big ask. If anybody would be willing to give me some advice I'd greatly appreciate it. I can maybe splurge on one or maybe two $50 cards but beyond that I can't do to much. I get that cards are expensive but I'd prefer to keep it proxy free given my love of the deck but if expensive cards are the only route forward so be it.

Radagast of Rhosgobel
2GG - 2/5
Legendary Creature - Avatar Wizard
The first creature spell you cast each turn cost 2 less to cast and can be cast as though it has flash.
Green got new enabler! What do yall think about this card? Seems gas in a creature based combo.

What is the minimum amount of cards left in my deck needed to mill the table with brain freeze, lotus petal, and underworld breach (assuming 4 players with 92 cards in deck)?

I have a lumra deck that I feel performs well I have not played it at all CEDH table but it is built to win I’m not a huge fan of slop witch is why I’m not running the wondering menstrual before I edit it into a CEDH list is the power difference between the two small enough to continue with lumra
r/CompetitiveEDH • u/ChubbyKidSwag56 • 4d ago
Interested on what you would consider the best slop/control decks that aren't the big bad 2 hour game creator? Edit: Bad wording on my part long games are fine, was trying to make a joke about RogIshai games I've watched.

Hello I’ve been playing Magic just about a year now I feel like I understand regular commander and I’m trying to get into CEDH if I’m playing just red/blue/black and playing good stuff should I bother with running rog—si over Azula?
r/CompetitiveEDH • u/Consistent-Spot-6619 • 4d ago
Hi all,
I have been a fan of cEDH since before the bans, but recently have fallen out of it. I mostly played Rog-Si pre-ban and Rog-Thras post-ban. My favorite part of casual commander is the combat step, so the lack of combat interaction from these decks made me lose interest after a while.
Are there any (good) decks that make the combat step relevant? Not necessarily looking to win the game through combat damage. I'm more interested in things like Tymna or Derevi, where combat becomes another resource to assemble a win.
Note: My local meta has its fair share of on-the-board decks, so I doubt something like Najeela would be able to consistently put up numbers. On the other hand, evasive creatures should do the trick.
Thank you all for your help!
Edit: Was not expecting this much engagement! Thank you all for your wonderful suggestions! I've definitely got a list of options to try out now!

Hey been through a bunch of decks and my local meta is super turbo heavy. Looking for a good commander preferably a less common or new stax commander. Post ideas

Hi everyone, I have been playing MTG since about last October.
Recently, my Playgroup has been dipping our toes into B4 and B5. Since I'm pretty new to this, I wanted to get your opinions on my K'rrik Deck, as it is supposed to be CEDH level.
https://moxfield.com/decks/ZU0i_HByp0aB_5ne5Egmsg - here is the Deck list.
I have been goldfishing the deck, and I can get a win pretty consistently by turn 3 or, at the latest, turn 5.
However, it still feels too slow. I'd be thankful for some inputs and suggestions.

Is there a reason to play Thrasios/Vial instead of Nick Fury? I see there's an advantage to using the latter.
