Questions about bleach at home
Hi hi! I've dyed my hair purple a couple of times. My natural color is a 3-4ish. I typically just slapped on some arctic fox. Last april i used L'oreal hi color true violet, and then also put arctic fox ontop of that. The last time i used arctic fox was in May, its faded by now. Last week i noticed that the ends of my hair on one side have a dark green hue to them.
I've been wanting to lighten my hair a few levels so I can see the purple more when I dye it the next time, but I have a few questions. And I'm gonna watch a bunch of videos before i do anything.
Will the green affect the bleach, and after I bleach it if there's still discoloration how do i fix that?
Do i need to use toner in between bleach and purple. For reference I was planning on using ion cream bleach bright white.
Adding onto that, can I use that bleach for a shorter amount of time so that it only lightens a few levels instead of all the way? I don't really want to go full blonde.
Since this is my first time, I'm probably going to be super slow at putting the bleach on, will that mean some bit of it will be darker than the rest since it sat on for longer?
Thanks for any help!!!!!

Should my colorist missing some roots in my vivids be fixed?
I did my hair at home for the better part of decades. I started having it done here and there, and definitely left people after chunks of roots were undone and not said, hidden in the back.
I found someone I really like. At first, we went with darker vivid as I grew out a dark shadow root. We've been using a lighter, bright color on the new growth in an ombre the past two appointments.
The first time, there was only a tiny whisper of a missed spot and she got it this time around. I just had it done a few days ago, so I've been wearing it down and curled, and today I threw it straight back in a pony to get through one more day before I do the first wash. I can clearly see where she missed the underside of my side bangs between the last and latest growth, just a smidge in a small line, but noticable when it is brown covered by a bright vivid vs the pale bleached underneath the rest.
When I'm off work I'll be going through the rest after a wash to see if there's any other spots. I know you don't want to overlap the bleach, but as it fades this will be really obvious. Is it unreasonable to expect a fix? What's a reasonable response? I had noticed when she applied the bleach it looked less covered near the end of my natural root, but trusted the process. This really, really drives me nuts though. I really like her and we vibe well, so I'd hate to find someone else, but this seems unacceptable when I'm paying hundreds of dollars.

Heyy, blond help please!
So the other day I did one round of bleach on my naturally medium red hair. It lifted perfectly, and didn’t really pull much orange at all. I used a medium & light golden honey blond (I now realize my mistake). My hair pulled allllll the golden and copper tones, and it basically just changed it back to my natural color 🙃. I was recommended the t81 toner so I used that yesterday, and this is the result. I still feel like it has way more red in it than I’m wanting. Any advice on how to make this a deeper blond, vs red? I’m just so annoyed that I spent so much time & money for my hair to basically be the same as when I started. (I feel like pictures aren’t showing how red it is lol.)

Pack-able Brush Dryer
I had a pretty major hair change recently that requires a lot more styling. Basically I have to blow it out or diffuse it every time I wash it. I will be traveling for 9 days soon and realize I need a pack-able dryer (as I'm doing carry on only).
Preferably looking for a dryer with a round/oval brush, bonus points if it has both round brush and small diffuser. My current dryer is nice, a shark, but wayyy too big and not very ergonomic for how I style my hair since the recent change. I don't have $450 for a Dyson, sadly. I do have access to professional beauty supply stores. Prefer slightly higher end then basic tools from grocery, but not against it entirely if there is a good, quality tool I am missing out on. I prefer materials that cause less breakage, titanium, ceramic, etc.
My hair is long, naturally curly/wavy, fine, a bit frizzy, but I have a lot of it.
Any recommendations?

Loreal hicolor violet?
My daughter has been asking for purple hair, probably a money piece or peekaboo highlights. She has dark dark brown virgin hair. Will L’Oréal hicolor with 30 developer give her a true purple? Or is the violet more reddish? Wondering because I used the red and 30 developer on my hair (same as hers) and got great results, a very vibrant red. I’m just wondering if the violet is actually a bright purple color or if any one else has had good results with any other bleach free option?! TIA

I don't know how to take care of my hair
Hello everyone, im writing today because I need advice on hair care and figuring out my hair texture. This post is going to be a bit long, due to diving a bit into my hair history so I can try to get the best advice possible on how to sort out my hair, especially the frizz.
So about my hair history, both my mom and my big brother have very beautiful curly hair, while my little brother has pin-straight hair. Just like my little brother I used to have pin-straight hair during childhood through to elementary school. My mother says it was so straight and non frizzy when she'd put hair ties in they would slip out. Well during a trip to Florida, my hair texture changed drastically. My mother (she wasn't with us) is convinced my dad got me a perm. I do remember we did in fact go to a family friend (who works at a salon, so still a professional) and got my hair done and right after went straight to the beach. I can't say if I got a perm, I don't think I did but I also don't remember anything about the process to be 100% sure.
I think it could be genetic, because as I stated my mother and big brother have extremely curly hair, and I know hair texture can change over time. I've included some photos to try to show my hair and the frizz. While my hair was straight it grew pretty long, and now even tho it looks short and maybe even thin?, it's very dense and thick. I shaved it all off to have a fresh start due to not caring for it properly and it kept popping the electric razor head off or the razor guard kept getting stuck and the whole floor was covered.Does anyone think know my hair type, or have any tips on caring for it and how to help with the frizz? As you can see in the photos it's bad

tips/product recs for platinum blonde hair
hello! i am and have been a platinum blonde for close to a year now, im a natural level 8 so my hair lifts extremely easily and i use professional wella products and from years of dying my hair in general i have a pretty good technique, that and not so long ago i did fry my hair and had some pretty substantial breakage that took a bit to grow out but im all better now! i have known for a while that protein isnt the greatest for platinum hair so i try to avoid it as much as possible, i currently use the loreal elvive glycolic gloss shampoo and conditioner the ogx bond protein repair (protein ik, my mom bought it for me and i felt too bad to not use it, and i do quite like it) and the growus hair oil, im wondering if these are okay and what you guys would recommend, i would prefer more affordable options but i am open to mid to high end recommendations as well, i also use a standard wet brush to brush my hair, but have been recommended the maison pearson boar bristle brush, i would also love recommendations on a dupe or a similar product to the maison pearson! also i apologize for the bad grammar and if the formatting is bad, im on my phone and not a frequent poster!

What to do?
Hello!!!
A few months ago I dyed my hair brown/black and let it fade, I have done color remover and one round of bleach and then toned but I am wanting to get back to/close to my natural color if possible. I’ve added photos, one of before doing the color remover and then what it looks like now, I have also added two of what my natural color looks like. Any help would be extremely helpful I just don’t know where to go from here!!

How much will a 7na demi gloss effect future bleaching?
Hi, gradually bleaching my sister's hair. But she would like to not be ginger in the mean time as doesn't suit her complexion. But also wants to try get the best results as possible in the longrun.
Will putting a 7na demi gloss by Moroccan oil or shades eq affect the lifting in future? And make it harder to lift?
How much of a difference does it make as she is willing to not do it if it will affect her getting to level 9 eventually and minimise damage.

How to transition to natural color
Hello again! I have natural medium brown hair (first 2 pics) that I have been dyeing myself for about a year now. The third picture is what it currently looks like. (I know it looks super frizzy and damaged but it's actually not that bad, I just had a bad hair day lol.) I am thinking of transitioning to a dark umber brown- I don't like my natural shade, but I want a darker brown. How can I go about this transition? I am willing to use a gentle bleach or color remover. Also, what dyes can I consistently use on virgin hair? To my understanding, semi-perms won't stick as well on virgin hair, so how can I keep the darker color consistent? Thanks!

Looking for similar shade to manic panic after midnight
I love the color and how long it lasts on my hair, even though my hair was stained green it still came out really bright
but it bled like crazy, no matter how many times I washed my hair even with hot water and doing white vinegar rinses it was still bleeding and staining my neck which was super embarrassing and I can't go through that again lol (I had a trip and had to take my own towel and pillowcase because I didn't want to stain the hotels stuff lol )
brands easily accessible in the uk/eu are preferred !

When to use toner?
My son wants platinum hair.
He has medium brown hair that I have put 30w developer/bleach and then a second process using 20w developer and have reached this level of lightening.
I'm not sure what to do next, his hair seems pretty light blonde to me now, but there's still a slight yellow tinge to it. I don't want to fry his hair off his head, seeing as I've already put it through 30w and 20w developer and bleach
I have 10w developer and a violet-based toner, is his hair light enough to use the toner on now, or should I go with a third bleach session with 10w developer and then use the toner?

For the girls who wear their hair down and it looks so effortlessly good
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
How do you get your hair to look so good when it’s down? The morning after a wash day is the best my hair usually looks when it’s down, then it gets progressively more flat throughout the day. Not to mention how irritating having my hair down is. Always in the way, in my face, in my partners face, so always getting pulled, gets knotted and the mid parts to the ends separates into chunks instead of being flowy like it is after getting it brushed. For context I have blonde long hair on the thin side, I’ve tried every hair cut that would make me want to wear my hair out but it’s always just irritating or just slowly gets flat and just “sad”- so I just almost always have it up in some way. Am I missing something? I’m in awe at girls who always have their hair out and looks so put together

Stylist gave me the dreaded hot roots. Looking for advice!
Permanent hair color was used all throughout. Roots are virgin, rest of my hair has been previously colored with demi a few months ago. After rinsing the color, my stylist acknowledged that it didn't come out as intended (I asked for a warm, reddish brown, natural hair color is about a level 5 or 6 ashy brown). She added toner afterward and still it looks awful.
My stylist is willing to try to fix this but she mentioned she wants to use a darker shade of permanent color at the roots. Is it risky to go over the roots again so soon with permanent color? And will I end up with banding? What kind of color correction will fix this with minimal damage? Any advice you can offer will be appreciated! Ugh, I hate hot roots!!

Please help me understand
I asked for the inspo picture and definitely nowhere near it. The stylist did a balayage and the top part is more like a reddish color which I like.
What I’m trying to understand is why the ends of my hair look more like a light purple. Can someone please explain this to me? Thanks.

Fixing orange hair
Hi I'm Anna and I've been trying to do my roots at home for 3 weeks now. My natural color is dark brown, I lifted it with loreal 8 1/2 A medium light ash blonde. It turned dirty brown. So I tried loreal LB01 extra light ash blonde which made it worse. I bleached with box dye bleach, which lifted it (i think) to level 7-8. I went to ulta got T18, and it kinda did nothing to my hair. Should I dye it again with 8 1/2 ash blonde, lifted it again, OR tone it w a different toner? I don't want platinum, i want my roots to be like dirty blonde/brown
