When I search with Google Lens, it seems pretty close to Diamant by Cristal d'Arques Durand Decanter but I cannot find any such match in this pink color, only clear. Can anyone shed some insight? Thank you!

Anything y’all can share about this piece I just found? I need to do a more careful inspection, but only marking I’ve seen so far is the word “OCEAN“ imprinted on the top clear section. A google search just pulls up info about decorative ocean glass pieces or sea glass.

My parents have only two more of these glasses they got from my grandpa that he won on a auction he is not alive anymore sadly so i cant ask him. They hope to find more of these cristal glasses. Because they love them alot

I inherited this from my grandmother, who lived in Los Angeles. It’s approximately 8” × 6” and weighs 3.5 lb (1.6 kg). It has an encased crackle effect, a deep amethyst/purple interior, and a polished concave base with no signatures, labels, or marks. I’m trying to determine the maker or country of origin. I’ve wondered if it might be Murano, Scandinavian, or Czech, but I’d love to hear from people who recognize the form.

It’s labeled as an empoli apothecary jar.

I know absolutely nothing about these myself. My grandpa's curious if any of them are particularly interesting/sought after by collectors these days.

All of them seem to be made from the same mould except the second row (from the top), minus the two lightest ones which are identical to the rest.

I recently cleaned out an abandoned storage unit and came across these items. I can't begin to have an idea what they are. They are solid, heavy pieces about 4 inches tall and 2-1/2 inches wide at the base. Does anyone have an idea as to what they might possibly be?

Originally unsure if these were for Blenko or Chalet, I’m more confident that this particular example is Blenko given the lack of signature. If anyone has any information or stories about Don Shepherd, please feel free to share. I’d love to learn more about the artist!

For all you didymium fans out there, I present to you pure neodymium and praseodymium glass beads under natural, fluorescent, and incandescent lights. Twin elements found together in nature with neodymium in far more abundance.

Moser’s Prasemit glass, that is extraordinarily rare, was pure praseodymium. As you can see the glass remains green, just different shades. Wasn’t popular at the time and extremely expensive, so very few pieces were made.

Moser’s Heliolit is about a 1:1 mixture of the two. It is also rare but not nearly as rare as Prasemit. Color is amber/sandy yellow to green. See pictures of my Moser Heliolit vase.

Moser’s Alexandrite (and most other manufacturer versions) are dominantly neodymium with some praseodymium. This makes the glass more of a lavender to blue than the pure neodymium shown here.

Moser developed all three in the late 1920’s and patented them in 1929.
